Have a wonderful weekend.

What are your plans for the weekend? We're getting settled in Brooklyn and have been loving it so far. Everyone is so friendly. Meanwhile, thank you so much for these inspiring tips! I'm looking forward to trying some things. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and here are a few fun posts from around the web...

Head's up: Everything at J.Crew is 25% off right now.

Breakfast downgraded from "most important meal of the day" to "meal."

Although I still really, really want to make this.

This anniversary card made me laugh.

What?! You can sleep in IKEA for the night!!!

Classic movies changed to not be sexist.

LOVE these day-in-the-life photos of ballet dancer David Hallberg and actress Jemima Kirke.

Genius alarm clock.

10 pictures of the daily recommended servings of fruits and veggies.

The thought process of being late. Too true.

Tip: Treat a night with a friend like a date night.

Makes me want another baby.

First thing I looked at was What would make you want another baby ? ! LOL
My alarm clock that always goes off way too early is a 5 month old kitten.
About always being late.. my son was almost a month late being born .. he has never been on time .. ever. ever !
I am now going shopping on J Crew. Thank you for that.
Happy Weekend and Happy New Home !
I would sell my house in Upstate NY and move to Brooklyn if I could. But a house on an acre in Upstate NY still isn't as expensive as a 1 bedroom in the City lol

The coffee pot on that list is Brilliant !
I want one .. just so I don't have to get out of bed.
My son should have one but his alarm clock 9 months old and yells at him from the crib .. youknowwhatImean :)

That is pretty much exactly why I'm always late. That and completely misjudging the distance/length of time it'll take to get somewhere!

Have a lovely weekend.

Some of the things in the mcsweenys article annoyed me, like the Mary poppins one. Obviously I get on a superficial level that most nurses and nannies are women, but I don't think the fact that Mary poppins was a woman detracted from the story. She was a strong, loving figure.

I unhesitatingly consider myself a feminist, but undoing sexism doesn't mean making everything superficially opposite.

Also, as for the breakfast thing, I'm wary of any rash generalizations either way. All I know is the whole point of breakfAst is to break the fast I hope this isn't tmi ( hey! It's biology) but my whole um, digestive system works better with that first kickstart
And apparently it's never good to let your body get massively hungry before you eat something because it's more likely to store it as fat

I do skip breakfast sometimes though

My favorite is the photo of the fruit & veggie servings. I love to have a visual reference & it absolutely reinforced that I'm eating enough. Wow! :] // itsCarmen.com ☼

Oh that alarm clock... now if I could roll over to one of those, I'd be one happy mama!

Love your roundups. I looked at the bed that "almost make you want another baby" and did a double take! Have a great weekend!

Here in the Philippines, we eat avocado as a dessert. We put cold milk and some sugar along with the diced avocado. Avocado shake is also common here =)
