How to do anything...

This week, we're heading to Fire Island! We looked forward to this family vacation all through the brutal winter, so I almost can't believe that it's finally here. We rented a house with these guys, and in an effort to disconnect, I'm not taking my computer, which is the first time I've done that since they invented computers. I'm just going to straight chill. Meanwhile, Caroline will be working her magic on the next Motherhood Around the World interviews—we can't wait to share the perspectives of all these dynamic mothers soon. Hope you have a great week, and here are a few past posts, if you're in a blog-reading mood...

* How to get rid of a pimple.
* How to look effortlessly beautiful.
* How to dress like a New Yorker.
* How to paint pretty nails.
* How to blow dry your hair.

* How to drink wine.
* How to say goodbye at a party.
* How to order a pizza.
* How to eat a tub of Nutella.
* How to host an articles club (or cookie swap).

* How to comfort someone who is grieving.
* How to have good sex.
* How to fake an orgasm.
* How to say "I love you."
* How to rock at dating.

* How to survive the first year of parenthood.
* How to have a boy.
* How to get your kids to talk at dinner.
* How to make your child feel loved.
* How to decide if you want kids (or just say no).
* How to share a family bed.

* How to decorate a tiny apartment.
* How to make your place smell amazing.
* How to find affordable art.
* How to make bath time fun.
* How to create a bohemian home.

* How to get over your fear of flying.
* How to not look like a tourist.
* How to sound British.
* How to plan a family vacation.
* How to travel with a baby (and entertain a toddler on a plane).

Have a great week, and see you soon. We'll also be sharing a few photos on Instagram, if you'd like to see. xoxo

Have a blast! I was out there this weekend and it was dreamy. We hiked to the top of the lighthouse for the first time, which was a fun experience! Be sure to get a certificate of accomplishment from the gift shop! :)

Okay, I watched the movie Three Days to Kill with Kevin Costner this weekend. I was in so much pain I couldn't move. So I watched it.

And the daughter looked so familiar but I couldn't tell where from! and Caroline has always looked to me a bit like the girl from Man Repellant.

And tadah! the daughter from the movie looks like Caroline!! I still haven't googled her.

Even thought the movie was cheesy as hell, I love watching those kinds of movies for the clothes, the scenery, and sweet cars. It's probably all kinds of product placement disguised as a movie but whatever.

Happy Holidays...and very good idea to leave your computer at home, you won't regret!

It seems like all you ever do is take trips, more than many of us are fortunate enough to have. I'm sure that's not the case and your blog takes a lot of work, maybe you could give us more info behind the scenes of running a successful blog. Just remember your readers, many of us work around the clock and yet vacations of any sort, still elude us.

What a powerful piece on being ready to have kids. Yes, I went down to part time for my career, but I also had kids relatively young (28 and 30) thinking I could go back to full time at 50 (if age discrimination does not hold me back). This is perfect for me and makes my life whole. Good insights.

I tried the garlic juice on a pimple -- definitely dries out the problem spot! I'd do it again! Thanks for the tip!

I love your blog and totally get your target demographic is young mommies but have you ever considered including material for moms with older kids? I have four kids age 11 to 23 and I am a hip fun and young mom. I would love to see some stories on things like traveling with older kids (teens can get quite bored) or getting to know your spouse again when the kids get older. Perhaps I could start my own blog but, loves yours so much that I thought a slightly more mature (not old) material would be nice!
