Have a wonderful weekend.

What are you up to this weekend? Alex is joining us in Fire Island tonight, and Saturday is the first official day of summer! Then we'll be back to regular scheduled programming on Tuesday. Hope you have a great weekend, and here are a few fun links from around the web...

Love this nail color.

Swimming babies!

Never touch gross stuff in your drain again.

The BFG is going to be a movie!!!

Made me laugh.

College kids, before and after.

What a gorgeous dress.

Single-tasking is the new multitasking.

Even if you live a long life, these weeks are all you've got.

Good to remember: It's not about you.

Client feedback on the creation of the earth. (Made me LOL x a million.)

Can you guess what pie charts are called in France?

Just Frank Sinatra and Paul McCartney shaving. No big deal.

It's official: People love their phones.

Marina Abramovic in London: Is this art?

I remember being simultaneously terrified and amused the first time I saw the swimming babies. It's pretty amazing though!

Our 4 month old just started "swim" lessons. My husband showed me videos of the infant self rescue and it gives me MAJOR anxiety to watch!

My children learned to swim, out on Fire Island :)
We had a house on the bay side in The Pines.
So many happy memories !

Here's probably a stupid question, but for the dress you linked, is there a special bra you wear with that? Or do most women who purchase that style go braless? I've always wondered.

Wow Jo! Killing it even from a distance! The article about the swimming babies gave me goose bumps... I watched my sister drown (we were able to resuscitate her) when she was a baby and I can't imagine watching them drop my baby into a pool like that mom did! The post about the kids going to school in NY is fantastic! I wish I had a picture of me, after moving to NY!

Potty training! I read your post about a dozen times. We are halfway through day 1...I've never been so grateful for nap time but she's doing great!

Hm, weird to see a couple of typos this week... Did Joanna actually write this? Wondering, because it says, "Alex is joining ME"...

In Sweden we call them "cake charts". I guess that says a lot about how much we like our "fika".

Love the piece by Seth Godin. I just came to know that people have actual hate blogs for other blogs. I find that ridiculous. If you hate it, don't read it. Isn't it that simple? I guess not.

Have always loved reading your personal posts but I have always been curious how you felt the first time you came across your page on GOMI? How does all the criticism push you to work better and come up with even more fab content?

Spielberg's involvement with this makes me nervous. It's such a gorgeous book, it'd be a shame to see it destroyed.

"It's not about you" made a lot of sense. I went to a concert last night and the people in front of me were rolling their eyes during a set that I was really enjoying and I let myself get so upset. I should have just ignored them!

Checked out swimming babies. I actually was curious about the infant swimming rescue course and asked around.

Apparently its a controversial topic here (in Singapore at least) - some coaches disagree with the training method because they believe it is 'traumatising' for the baby.

What are your thoughts?
