Travel-themed week

This week, let's do a travel-themed week. Now that summer is right around the corner, aren't you itching for a lazy vacation—the kind where you kick it all day at the beach, drink rosé in the evening, and everyone ends up with sand in their beds but no one cares?

I'm curious: Where in the world would you go today, if you could go anywhere?

P.S. Past travel weeks.

Ahh I cannot wait to get to the beach this year. I am thrilled that the warm weather is at last upon us.

Italy. Definitely Italy. I want to ride a bike around the countryside, sight-seeing, villa hunting...taste the foods, swim in the Mediterranean...feel that glorious Italian sunlight on my skin. It's definitely where I want to be right now!

Dallas, Texas, to see family. It will be $1300 to take our fearsome foursome + car rental and I'm aching at the idea of it. Otherwise, a 15 hour drive. Hmmm....

Feeling very spoiled right now as I just returned from Poland, am flying to Ireland tomorrow, with a 2 day stopover in London, and ending with a week in Tuscany! Satisfying a serious dose of wanderlust :)

In August I'm going to Provence!! It'll be my first time in France and I'm so excited!! But, we'll be travelling with an almost-1-yr-old, so any advice on foreign travel with little ones is really appreciated (I already use/love some of your travel with kids advice).

Yes! I would love to go anywhere warm with a beach right now. I just finished my graduate degree and start work today. No break, though I did have a nice little Staycation type weekend. Its nice to have a break, though I'm not complaining about starting a job.

Home? Haha, someone's having a case of the Mondays.

A beach somewhere lazy sounds nice right now. I'm going to Australia in November, but the planning is currently stressing me out.

If money were no object, I would travel to Rome and stay at the enchanting Hotel de Russie. When not walking around the city, I would relax on the hotel patio with an espresso looking out toward the Villa Borghese gardens.

I'd do the opposite of beaching. Living on an island allows me to beach whenever I want. I'm dreaming of mountains though!

Love this travel theme thing you have going on. Such a fun idea!

Greece, Spain, Azores. @mags - I travelled twice with my baby so far (with 8 weeks and with 7 1/2 months). My advice - for a 2 weeks stay or a short trip - take day 3 off: no plans, no car rides, nothing thats not in walking distance. For us this was the trick and we were all fine !

I would go back to Spain, but take my boyfriend this time. I would tan topless at the beach and drink sangria all day. Then when we were sick of the heat and sunshine, drive farther into the country and spend the cool evening looking at all the bright stars.

I've been dying to go to Morocco. It's been on my bucket list for years and I'm hoping to go next year. This summer I'm heading to Copenhagen, Denmark for a conference. Not a warm or lazy vacation, but still beautiful I hope.

I'm all about the beach, but I would love to visit Paris and Rome. I was just visiting my best friend in NYC, and we talked about how totally touristy but fun it would be to do a bus tour of a foreign major city, just to get oriented and to make notes about what neighborhoods we'd want to visit on our own afterwards.

If I could go anywhere, then I'd actually pick Antarctica! It's a bit of a strategic choice though - I know that realistically, I'm unlikely to ever go (cost, lack of willing companions who can also afford it, time required etc) so in this dream scenario, it makes the most sense haha.

In reality, most of my traveling is in Europe (I'm in the UK) but I'm off to Ecuador to visit my sister at the beginning of June. She lives in Quito but we're planning to go to the Galapagos. So excited; I'm going to get my inner David Attenborough on!
