Have a beautiful weekend.

What are you up to this weekend? We're flying to Michigan tonight to visit my parents. I'm looking forward to swimming, playing games and eating grilled shrimp on the deck. (Also, if you're ever in the Detroit area, the Motown Museum is amazing. Have you been?) Have a good, relaxing weekend, and here are a few links from around the web...

Maya Angelou touched so many hearts and will be missed.

Great tumblr. (Love her mission.)

Spelling bees are intense, and those kids are awesome.

How to make a grilled cheese...cheesier.

Ballet dancers describe their hardest moves.

What powerful women would have told their 22-year-old selves.

These prom photos made me smile.

Would you wear a jumper? This one is lovely.

Watch Mindy Kaling's hilarious, heartfelt Harvard Class Day speech.

Bohemian living rooms.

Why we want to dance to Pharrell.

If I got married again (to the same guy), I'd wear this dress.

Rifle Design now has wallpaper.

Pulled pork sandwiches save the day.

I love this week's links, Joanna! I especially appreciated what women would tell their 22-year-old selves. So true!

And YES! I wear jumpers all the time- an instant outfit. I just bought this one and am so incredibly happy with it (looks great with platform maryjane clogs:

I love that jumper! I actually called my mom just a few minuets ago to ask her opinion on overall-ish things... they are so cute and so in, but I live in Oklahoma, and I'm afraid people will just read them as farmy, not trendy.A post on overalls for your body type might be handy.

I love Mindy! Her voice seems so deep compared to her show character!

As soon as someone starts making jumpers for taller girls/long torsos so I don't have the humiliation of camel-toe, I'm totally in. ;)

You're coming to Michigan! What a perfect weekend for it. Eastern Market has been busier than ever on Saturdays and Sunday is the first street Market. There is also a home and garden tour in Corktown Sunday. If you want a fancy meal The Jefferson House is fantastic. The chef is a young guy and super talented.

I am working Sunset magazine's Celebration Weekend event this weekend in the Bay Area. "Small Space, Big Dreams" backyard retreats = where it's at. Well, the Test Garden and Test Kitchen tours are pretty cool too. :) Thanks for the downtime reads!

Love the randomness of everything! There is definitely something for whatever mood I may be in. Loved the link about Pharell's "Happy". So interesting!

Yes! Love the Motown Museum--it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's one of my favorite museums. Hope you're having fun here in MI!

I thought that looked like England! Can't mistake those cliffs!

I love the Rifle Paper Co. stuff - my sister gave me one of their cards saying 'you make everything beautiful' - which I thought was the sweetest message...

I love that jumper! So fun and pretty. I recently bought one at the Banana Republic factory store. It's black, sleeveless and long pants with a sash around the waist (also black). Love it! Thanks for your blog... Love that too!

Well...since you asked, no I would never wear a jumper. I can't figure out how you're supposed to go to the bathroom without a big production. Does it have snaps, like a onesie?
