Honest fall diapers

Anton turns four months old tomorrow, and he is growing up so quickly! This weekend, for the very first time, he rolled from his back to his tummy!!! It was a big day in the Goddard-Williams household :)
I also read a fascinating article recently (although I can't remember where!) about letting your babies do things for themselves and get a little frustrated, if need be, while they work things out. So, for example, if they're reaching for a toy, don't just hand it to them, but let them keep reaching for a while until they get it. It's hard to listen to them complaining, but then they're so proud and excited when they make it work.
Also, in these photos, how cute are these Honest Company diapers? They just came out with their fall patterns, and those little foxes kill me.
Their natural, hypoallergenic diapers are gentle even for the most sensitive skin; and they're free of chlorine processing, chemical bleaches and risky additives (like fragrances, lotions and latex).
As I've mentioned before, we use Honest Company household cleaning, bath and body and baby products. They're one of the few companies I really, really trust. I'd highly recommend them.

P.S. Looking at these photos, I'm already nostalgic for Anton's soft little rolls. Also, the first time Toby stood up by himself and took his first wobbly steps:)

Bonus for Cup of Jo readers: Get 25% off your first bundle with the code COJBundle25. Applies to U.S. and Canadian residents; good until November 10th.

man, when I was little, all I had were these boring white plastic diapers. I am really a bit jealous that today's babies get to be so fancy in their pantsy area...

They are super sweet! and I do love their rolls, babies are the best. My daughter is slightly older than Anton and has discovered her feet so she's constantly rolled into a little ball eating her feet...it kills me :)

Adorable diapers. My little one is due in less than two weeks and we've already ordered a bundle with the new fall patterns after the last time you had a promo code. Can't wait to see them on him.

Is Anton a redhead?!

I love his little rolls. Baby skin is the sweetest!

And (as an Aunt... so I can only sort of speak from experience) cloth is great, but sometimes the connivence of disposable diapers is necessary!

Love the uninterrupted-play approach! So respectful of the little guys and where they're at developmentally.

Here's a related post that's pretty great: http://www.janetlansbury.com/2012/11/7-myths-that-discourage-independent-play/

As a mother to two little ones I thought maybe you would find this article interesting. Something very important for all mothers to keep in mind. http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/science/2013/09/children_s_language_development_talk_and_listen_to_them_from_birth.html

Hi, Joanna

Does Anton like Sophie the Giraffe? I'm thinking of getting one for my daughter.

Lana said...

I can't speak for Anton, but my daughter loved her Sophie so much that we bought two just in case one was lost. I kind of thought Sophie must be overrated, but turns out, she's really that fabulous. If you buy one, you will not be disappointed!

My little dude just turned 3 months old, and I know what you mean when you say you're already nostalgic for his little rolls! I feel the same way... they are so beautiful and I have a strong sense of how fleeting they are. *sigh*

I do love those! I'm prego right now, and we are planning to cloth diaper because it's cheaper and more eco, but I'm going to do Honest diapers & wipes to have when we're out and about, and for when we have babysitters! And of course, we use pretty much everything else honest for home/toiletries/and even their prenatals are my fave!

Adorable! If I ever had a child I'd use those diapers. Too bad they're so $$$

Joanna, it sounds like you read something RIE-related, and Janet Lansbury is a RIE instructor (consultant? expert? I'm not sure...) who writes a lot about independent play and stuff like that.

Cute baby!

i am with you - the honest company is one of the few companies i truly trust. my sons skin is super sensitive and since switching to honest diapers i have not even had to apply cream to the diaper area. zero outbreaks! slightly scary to think what a difference something as simple as no chemicals can make....
the super cute patterns certainly don't hurt either :)

anton is a dream! i hope you've been getting more sleep!

My littlest has those new fox and woodcutter diapers too (and the strawberries too - to die for!). I *love* Honest diapers (and the fire truck night time pull ups for my son are a big hit too)

Thanks, Lana!

I love all the patterns and the fact that they are Eco. But sadly they don't seem to hold up overnight for us. My son has woken up numerous times with a soaking wet bed, or an even bigger kind of mess :( oh and they seem to be ridiculously easy for him to remove by himself! I've tried sizing up and it hasn't seemed to help. Such a bummer; they really are the cutest!

I love the Honest Company products too. I am addicted to their hand sanitizer! It's like silk! Love those diapers!!!

I loved your Toby taking his first steps video! My daughter Gigi just took her first steps, and she is nearing 18 months herself. Go cute kiddies!

Does it bother you at all that the Honest diapers are not very soft? I tried them out and they just couldnt compare to the super soft sensitive pampers swaddlers....

Hi, in case you haven't read the book Bringing Up Bébé by Pamela Druckerman, do it! Although, I doubt you haven't come across it already :)

This is nice post and the diapers are looking good but i always use cloth diapers Using baby cloth diapers does not only allow you to save money, but can also reduce the smelly disposable diapers in your garbage bin.
