Have a wonderful weekend.

What are your plans for the weekend? It's going to be hot! We're heading to our friend's cabin in Connecticut. I'm looking forward to wading in the river, grilling outside and sitting very still. Also, I can't believe we're going to have another one of these in a month or less! Crazy. Hope you have a good one, and here are a few fun links from around the web...

Is it better to walk or run?

A new animal print.

The real couple behind Before Sunrise.

Made me laugh.

Adorable Father's Day gift.

Cheer up your desk!

10 celebrity photobombs.

Trying out this nail polish this weekend.

Three easy updos for the summer.

Ron Mueck's new hyperrealistic sculptures.

Apparently, lots of people made out during the hurricane.

This book looks hilarious.

A tumblr all about Obama eating snocones.

Could three words change the way severely ill patients and their loved ones think about death?

Plus, three posts you may have missed:
* Hidden mothers.
* How to boil an egg.
* Romantic getaway outfit.

I'm spending this weekend celebrating my birthday with my parents, watching my nephews play soccer, and hopefully finding some time to sit around and read a book in the sunshine!

Wow, wish I could be where that picture is! Instead, we'll be heading to the Greek island of Aegina with our 3 month old son to visit his Grandpa over there for the first time. We're set for a scorcher too, so can't wait to hit the beach!

Have a great weekend!

I love Butter polishes. You should get "Yummy Mummy"--it's a great slightly lavender, beige-y color that doesn't show chips too badly. Plus the name is appropriate! I'm going to have to try some of those updos with the hot weather finally setting in.

Ron Mueck sculptures are absolutely incredible. They evoke the oddest feelings in the viewer--you end up feeling like a voyeur because it feels like you are interrupting really private moments of an individual. It's hard not to think of them as people.

And DC had a SLEW of babies after our Snowmageddon winter. It was pretty hysterical!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Making out doesn't make babies. Having sex during a hurricane because what else is there to do other than drunkenly play scrabble is what makes hurricane babies.

We are all adults here, Joanna!

Am I the only one freaked out by by things that look like real people but aren't (i.e. manikins, wax museum, pirates of the caribbean ride at disneyland)? Those sculptures are FREAKILY good!

As always, so many share-worthy links, Joanna! And great discussion starters. That snobama site is amazing, I had no idea.

This weekend is for recovering from river camping last weekend, and on Sunday a girlfriend and I are going to check out the Alameda antiques fair that happens once a month. Very dramatic backdrop on the Oakland docks.

Enjoy Connecticut!
