Before Midnight

Everyone seems to be waiting with bated breath to see the movie Before Midnight, which hits theaters on May 24th, and I'm happy to say that they finally released the trailer...

Such an intriguing portrait of a marriage. Will you see it?

P.S. "If we were meeting for the first time today on a train, would you start talking to me? Would you ask me to get off the train with you?" Her question was so real and vulnerable and touching.

Before Sunrise was, and is like, THE quintessential movie of my young adult life. So obsessed with this series and literally cannot wait until this hits theaters. Thank you for sharing the trailer! Eeeeep!

Oh my goshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! After the last one, I wondered if that was the end of our view into their relationship but now I'm crazy excited it has reverted my typing into pre-teen mode.

But gosh, will I ever see the heck out of this film.

sooo excited for this!!

I will most DEFINITELY see it. I adored both movies, perhaps because I once met a crazy handsome American on a train in France and ended up spending months with him back in Colorado before our lives drove us apart. Cannot wait to find out what happens in this one....though they are definitely teasing some sort of marital crisis.

A different spin from the other..... but a definite yes =)

I can't wait!!! But, is Richard Linklater teasing us again like he does at the end of each film, but this time with a trailer making you think that they are married? ....hmmmm

Love this! I wish I were French. That's all. Happy Friday. (Heureux Vendredi?)

Ah, definitely want to see it, but I have some reservations based on the trailer. The fact that the first two movies were just two people wandering the streets talking about life was part of the charm and uniqueness for me, and everything was colored by Jesse and Celine's longing for one another. I just fear that this third movie will be in a more commonplace mode, more like one of those slice-of-life couple movies. But trailers can be deceiving--I will certainly see it!

It's hard not to make a new couple in love NOT romantic. However, what I think is truly touching is how a couple survives the monotony of everyday life and its complications AND keeps the romance going. Bring on the movie!

Thanks for posting this! I have been dying to see this. Watching 2 days in New York to hold me over!

I share those reservations, but have faith it will live up to expectations! (I've always felt that whilst the leads are very 'natural' around each other, some of the random extraneous characters they encounter seem a little forced, though charmingly so).

I just hope I can avoid spoilers (so far so good) until it hits UK screens.

how do they both still LOOK SO GOOD ? what gives !

the movie looks fantastic, but too real. it would be like watching my marriage but with a sexy accent and more stubble.

I've been catching parts of Before Sunrise throughout my teens and early adulthood, I'm not sure I've ever seen the whole thing. But that's part of its charm for me :) It was perfect for a girl growing up, nothing too tangible. I watched the second sequel and loved it, too, but it left me longing for something more definite :) Can't wait for this one! I will have a marathon before the third part because every time I saw the movies, I was older and saw them from an entirely new perspective. Looking forward to that :) P.S. I've never thought I'd be this opinionated about a movie :D

Will definitely see it! I'm a sucker for a good love story especially if it's set in Italy :)

SO EXCITED SO EXCITED SO EXCITED!!!!!!!

Over Spring Break I watched them both for the first time and thought they were brilliant. I couldn't believe how engrossing and wonderful a, like, 95% headshot of the couple talking could be. I've heard nothing but phenomenal reviews for Before Midnight, so I will most definitely be going to see it in theaters. YAY! Before Sunset was my favorite. I'm SOOO excited to see what Before Midnight will add!

So excited. Loved the first two movies and can't wait to see where they ended up. Sigh.

Ahhhhh this is going to be so good! Even if it's mediocre, it's still going to be good (know what I mean?). Love both of them, love Richard Linklater. My longstanding crush on Ethan Hawke was totally intensified after seeing him live in "Clive" in February. He's so effing awesome!
