A few observations about this pregnancy: I'm hungry like the wolf. And I go from zero to sixty—not at all hungry to suddenly in a blind panic to shovel food into my mouth. I don't remember that from last time! It's getting harder to sleep now, and I'm thinking of ordering one of these hilarious body pillows. My boobs are bigger! I'm more anxious than usual. Sometimes I know I’m being neurotic, but I can’t stop. And I discovered these chewable prenatal vitamins, which are awesome since the regular ones are like horse pills. Most of all, we cannot wait to meet this little one in July.
(And my belly was a little bigger after our Indian dinner on my birthday...:)

You are so petite...enjoying the food : )
ReplyDeleteI picked up that exact crazy pillow 5 months into my last pregnancy and when I took it out again this time around my husband was pretty stoked - it seems when I travel for work (1x a month) he uses it and LOVES it!
ReplyDeleteYou have the cutest little bump! I hope I look half as good as you when I'm pregnant!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute bump. Don't knock the snoogle, it is one of the only things that got me through my twin pregnancy. They are heaven... ;)
ReplyDeleteAre you pushing you belly out? Haha. J/k. Adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute, Bari! And KT, I love that pillow; we actually took it on vacation to California when I was pregnant with Toby, I couldn't bear to leave it at home!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute with your lil' belly! Congratulations! I'm currently 26 weeks with my 3rd...and constantly feel hungry as well!! Also, those gummy vitamins were a lifesaver during my first trimester when I couldn't stand the smell of the regular ones. :)
ReplyDeleteLooking good mama!
ReplyDeleteSo cute..enjoy the belly while it lasts :)
ReplyDeleteReally cute - looking good!! x
ReplyDeleteI love (love, love) my Snoogle. While it definitely helps me sleep, my favorite thing about it is that is rolls into the perfect coil for leaning against while reading in bed. Cute bump!
ReplyDeleteyou look so beautiful! that little belly is the cuttest!! what is Toby saying about your belly?
ReplyDeleteYou look so beautiful and radiant! :) Thanks so much for sharing! xo,
ReplyDeletethanks for your sweet comments! toby keeps saying, "mama, i have a baby in MY belly," so i think he's getting the general idea:)
ReplyDeleteMarnie, congratulations! and three: i'm impressed!!
ReplyDeleteThose pillows are a GODSEND. Seriously. I'm 8.5 months now with my first and getting the snoogle pillow changed my life.
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! So happy for you and your family.
xoxo,
Laurel
You are so tiny! I feel like my weekend food baby is bigger than your actual baby belly, haha. Very sweet photos.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I must've missed your big announcement! So excited for you guys and Toby's new sister Thomas! Ha :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! And the snoogle is the best thing ever! I am 30 weeks along with my second baby and would never sleep at all without it!
ReplyDeleteI love the gummy vitamins, too, but just figured out they don't have any iron! (I guess the gummy pills are too tempting to children, for whom iron supplements can be quite dangerous.)
ReplyDeleteAdorable bump! That pillow looks amazing.
You look amazing! Love the belly shots. Keep em coming :)
ReplyDeletekristaandmichele.com
you look fantastically cute! :) i would hope to look that adorable when i am pregnant
ReplyDeletekw Ladies in Navy
I'm 3.5 months post-partum and STILL sleep with my big maternity pillow - my husband keeps saying it's time to start weaning me off it, but I'm hooked now! I can't sleep without it! The poor guy just wants to snuggle and I'm obsessing over a pillow. This can't be good for our marriage:)
ReplyDeleteSooo adorable! I'm 12 weeks with my first and so far, I just look like I've eaten too much. Can't wait for a real bump!
ReplyDeleteBe Ready Bravely
congratulations!!! your bump is so cute!
ReplyDeletePregnant looks good on you, Joanna!
ReplyDeleteI am 25 weeks along with my first and love my snoogle! Regular pillow are for the birds!
ReplyDeleteYou should absolutely invest in one of those pillows! i really recommend the leachco back and body, because you dont have to flip it around everytime you turn over at night, which, let's be honest, is a million times when you're pregnant!! It takes up a lot of space and is kind of expensive but i swear the first time you sink your aching pregnant body into it, you will totally understand! it's like sleeping on a cloud!
ReplyDeleteyou look so beautiful, joanna! thank you for showing us your belly shots :)
xoxo angelica
Excited to follow along! I wasn't here the first time around.
ReplyDeleteYou are so tiny. I pretty much start showing at conception ;)
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with the zero to sixty on the hunger level.( I am 8 wks)
I feel like it is a cliff. Normal people have a gradual decline into hunger. I am fine and than I have fallen off a deep cliff of extreme hunger...
Seriously, that pillow is a life-saver! I'm a back sleeper and it has helped so much with sleeping on my side and helping my hips. Get it! I'm about a month ahead of you and I could not go without it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats again!
Aww Look at you!!! =) I have no idea when your supposed to "pop" but you look great!! =)
ReplyDeleteErgo - Blog
Oh my goodness! I can't stand the cuteness! You are such an itty bitty person, you look adorable pregnant! I think it's so much fun when the belly finally pops. :)
ReplyDeleteYou look so happy. By the 18th week of my 2nd pregnancy, I was huge and didn't know why. It's because I ended up giving birth to a 10 lb 7 oz boy. Ouch. He's now 12 and absolutely lovely - tall and slim just like his Daddy. Congratulations again.
ReplyDeleteI'm about two weeks behind you, fun following along especially since we're not finding out the gender either . I'm hungry too and my main food source is green olives :)
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful! I love following your blog and especially now that you are also pregnant. I am due June 30th with our first, which is exciting and scary all at the same time! Many of your posts have been so reassuring.
ReplyDeleteso excited for this one!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I have baby fever so bad. I really want #3 but breastfeeding appears to actually be effective birth control.
ReplyDeleteOh and someone mentioned it already but I don't think those vitamins have iron (maybe not calcium either). I only mention it because my friend was taking those and then one day realized they don't have iron.
Congrats again!
Nicole http://stayhomestaychic.wordpress.com/
I had that exact same pillow! It was amazing! Definitely get it! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely Joanna! So excited to follow you on this journey. xo.
ReplyDeleteI'm 18 weeks today, and my belly has gone from non-existent to out there in the span of just a few days! This is my first pregnancy, and I can't believe how it just appeared almost overnight. I am headed home to visit my family on Friday, and for a long time I was worried that when I got there, no one would believe I was pregnant. That's not going to be a problem now. Ha.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Joanna!
You look so amazing and your blog is just awesome !
ReplyDeleteps. congratulations :)

So exciting! I just had our second 3wks ago & let me tell you - get your sleep now! I didn't have a body pillow w our first, but got one on sale this time around & loved it. I got this one: http://www.amazon.com/Leachco-Back-Belly-Replacement-Cover/dp/B000UD3ZGI/ref=sr_1_18?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1359999368&sr=1-18&keywords=body+pillows+for+pregnancy
ReplyDeletewhich allows you to switch sides without having to flip the pillow too. You're sort of in your own world in bed (sorry hubs) but it's SO worth it :)
Best of luck & feel good!
Liz
so sweeeeet!!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.oneoblivion.com/
I think we're due the same time! Did you have it where you were feeling sorry for yourself with morning sickness and then heard about poor Kate Middleton? I thought, well now I can't complain about anything!
ReplyDeleteI can't *believe* how much bigger my belly is this time around. Gone are the days of people saying, oh you can barely tell! Now they're like, "oh you're only 17 weeks??" lol.
Thank you for linking to those gummy vitamins. True story--I've barely had one prenatal this time around. They really make me gag.
Somehow I totally missed that you are expecting your second baby! Congratulations. You are glowing and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe Snoogle is a life-saver!
ReplyDeleteYou're looking adorable! I'm 13 weeks and have a little pooch but not a true belly yet :) Also, I have a similar body pillow (mine hooks at only one end, not both) but it actually doesn't help me. When I wake up I'm in MORE pain then when I sleep without it! I'd rather just stick a pillow between my legs.
ReplyDeletehahahaha, yay for "popping bellies!" You are so cute!!
ReplyDeletehttp://herestohappinesses.blogspot.com/
You are positively precious!! Love your sweet growing bump. Thanks for sharing!

Congrats! I love your blog. Keep it coming. We are also due in July. My first. I know what you mean by finding it hard to fall asleep. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! You look great!
ReplyDeleteYou must be one of those super skinny and cute pregnant women. Happy for you.

July is the best to have a baby b/c you can count on so much fresh air. Many fond memories of sitting under a tree on a cozy blanket for hours w. itty bitty baby ...
ReplyDeleteThis is the sweetest thing, Joanna! Can't imagine how happy you might be. I can't wait to be pregnant! But first i need to find true love! I'm 23. Hope i'll have my own little family full of love someday.
ReplyDeleteWish you all the best
xx
Joanna, you look so cute! I'm due on Saturday (yikes!) with our second and enjoying every last minute of eating my heart out in these last few days. Also I always seem to think the 18 to 22ish weeks is that awkward time when you're just wishing your belly will clearly POP so strangers clearly know you're pregnant and not just heavy in the midsection
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic! Order the Snoogle (body pillow, trust me, it is sooooo worth it! I ended up buying one for my husband too, because he kept trying to use mine!

Joanna, you are such a beautiful pregnant woman. Remember that every day.
ReplyDeleteyou look so good!
ReplyDeleteYou've got the glow!
ReplyDeleteYou wear babies well :)
Love,
Manda from Eat Cake
You look adorable! I was just wondering how the house hunting process was going....I think I remember you mentioning that you guys were looking a while back. We bought a house when I was 7 mo pregnant and I remember it being a harrowing experience. It seems so long ago as I'm now 15 weeks pregnant with #3 and the last one!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I was pregnant with my son around the same time you were pregnant with Toby and now I'm preggie again, too. I'm having the exact same symptoms as you and I don't remember having them with my son! I always hear every pregnancy is different, but it will be interesting to see if we have the same gender baby.
ReplyDeleteYou might be the tiniest pregnant woman I have seen -- Love how you have your books arranged by colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Isn't it weird how different pregnancies vary so much? Maybe it means a girl? Although to be honest, my symptoms didn't vary wildly from girl to boy just from preg to preg.
ReplyDeleteyou look adorable! so exctied for your growing family!
ReplyDeletexx, kara
Really cute pictures. We are only 2 weeks apart, a very exciting time. Congrats to you!

here (Belgium) almost everyone has this pillow (http://www.babylonia.be/c/Form_Fix_Sit_Fix/11/ ) which we use when pregnant to sleep with, and when the baby is born it is very handy when breastfeeding, so do buy the pillow ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd I recognise how you describe feeling during this second pregnancy. I felt the same a few months ago and now have a two-month old brother for our little girl around :)
joke, really interesting! and congratulations on your sweet little girl:)
ReplyDeleteangelica, YES! that one looks awesome. i remember having to lug the huge pillow from side to side every time i turned around. although we have a queen-size bed, i wonder if it can fit alex, the pillow and me :)
ReplyDeleteerin and jennifer and katie and all your expectant mamas, congratulations!! fun to be pregnant at the same time:)
ReplyDeletekatie, our brooklyn house hunt is going slooooowly because there's such little inventory. we actually talking about it this weekend and are okay staying in our current apartment for another year if need be. thanks for asking! and i can imagine how crazy it would be to move with a new baby...or hugely pregnant :)
ReplyDeletewhile this isn't advice (because I am not a mother) I do know that my own mother had four girls (including me) I was number 3). When we were little she had something for us called "special time" , where she would spend alone time with us. Our was always planting flowers in the garden in the summertime. I still remember it. As an adult now, she admits though she felt she spread herself thin having four girls. You have siblings, and know how wonderful it is, when you are doubting are nervous have faith that you are indeed giving him a wonderful gift of a sibling!

ReplyDeleteWhere is your shirt from in the top two photos?
ReplyDeletemany probably said this already, but get the body pillow! good sleep is worth the money! my husband actually came to love it and would snuggle with it himself. he said he missed it when i stopped using it!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful! So happy to see how your adorable family is growing. :)

What a cute belly! Thanks for sharing. :) I always enjoy growing belly pictures and pregnancy updates...especially since I have yet to get pregnant myself. It helps to hear how it is for other people. Happy Monday!

Woohoo!! Belly shots! Always so much fun! :)
ReplyDelete-Lexy
Adorable!! :)
ReplyDeleteah - cute! i bought that same top from everlane - a site a learned about here. it's PERFECT.
ReplyDeleteYou look stunning Jo! Absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely beautiful! I actually discovered those vitamins last year, in the middle of my pregnancy! They are so tasty :)
ReplyDeleteI'm due with our second in July, too - so it's fun to follow along with your pregnancy :) (and thanks for the maternity clothes pins - I can even get some of the brands here in Germany, which I didn't know..)Funny, here in Germany (as it seems from one of the comments in Belgium as well) we pretty much all have a pillow like that - well, the pregnant ladies :) and it's very handy for breastfeeding! Supports you back & you can lie the baby on it & don't have to support it with your arms. All the best for you & your family!
ReplyDeletelovely belly shots! i'm pregnant with #4 (due in August) and that pillow was probably one of my best maternity purchases EVER. i mean it! i've used it for about the last 3 months of each pregnancy. you'd need a million pillows around and under your belly anyway, just to get SOME level of comfort when sleeping (esp. near the end). plus, i used to be a stomach sleeper, so i can coil this long pillow up like an anthill with a hole in the middle and sometimes read a book on my "stomach" with my belly inside the hole. :) i must admit that my husband hates this pillow because he says it "cuts him off" and he can't touch me at night. which isn't such a bad thing when you're 8 or 9 months along...(wink) congrats again! you look great!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a great face. It's on par with Carly Simon's
ReplyDeleteadorable, joanna.
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteyou might be the most adorable pregnant woman. ever.
ReplyDeleteYay! You look so cute. I found out I was pregnant the day you announced your second pregnancy. :) I will be 8 weeks along tomorrow. I am not showing yet but my boobs are definitely bigger, which is not so great cause they were already huge. Oh well. Can't wait until I get a belly, maybe soon! :)
ReplyDeleteADORBS. and so happy!
ReplyDeleteSooo darling! I'm only 11 weeks, and can't wait until I start to show. Btw, I love reading all of your pregnancy and motherhood posts and so appreciate how open and honest you are about sharing your life with us. You're rocking it - keep up the good work. :)
ReplyDeleteThat pillow was THE BEST purchase i made last year with my second pregnancy. Seriously! Go for it--you will be so happy you did! Congrats and the best to you
ReplyDeleteI keep my gummy vitamins in the fridge- it's like a little treat! Congratulations on your bump :)
ReplyDeleteSuch an awesome supply of tips. Most importantly the chewable vitamins. I'm so over the horse pills, too. From one expecting-second-in-July Mom to another - thanks!
ReplyDeleteyou are positively radiant!
ReplyDeleteyou are positively radiant!
ReplyDeletethat pillow is a must!!!
ReplyDeletea) you look gorgeous, so happy and healthy

we are due at about the same time ( i am july 6th :) ) but my belly is nowhere as cute as yours :) i love the little pop-belly. i am growing it "up" and into my ribs at the moment ( read : no waist. looks like extra dinner ;(... ) can't wait for my belly to pop out :) it's the best! xo
ReplyDeleteyou look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteyou look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI definitely had the zero-to-sixty hunger symptoms during the beginning of this pregnancy, too. I would suddenly feel exhausted, shaky, and nervous and incredibly anxious about needing to eat. It would take a lot of food to get me back to 'normal'.
ReplyDeleteI talked to my doctor who sent me to a nutritionist to talk about dealing with hypoglycemia (my blood sugar falls easily). I've learned to focus on eating more protein and healthy fats and fewer carbs, as carbs tend to make your blood sugar spike and fall more quickly. When my blood sugar does fall, I'm supposed to drink some juice to get it up and then follow up with fat/protein like peanut butter, eggs, cheese, etc. And try to pair fats/protein/fibre with carbs/sugar foods.
This might not be what you're experiencing, but just in case - hope this helps!
Hahahahahahha, you made me laugh with the 'horse pills comment. I'm exactly as far along as you are (though this is my first) and you look so teeny Jo! My bum is growing in literal competition with my belly, it's getting silly :) Will keep a lookout for chewable tablets... would love to stop feeling like a horse...
ReplyDeletexx
i am already mom:)my first baby, and i wasnt too big:)too. just my belly was big, but nobody believe me iam pregnant:) so enjoy this so beautifull days how you can feel his movement in your belly, or inside masage organs:) loved that time:) and now?love him toomuch and couldnt believe it he wasnt here before couse i feel like i know him forever and he was here forever:)

CONGRATS! You are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteget the body pillow! seriously, get the body pillow.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanna! I love your lip color. May I ask brand it is?
ReplyDeleteYour belly is so cute!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! And I am also really hungry with this 2nd pregnancy. Like all the time. Weird!
ReplyDeleteyou are stunning.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Joanna!
ReplyDeleteJoanna, is that an everlane silk blouse? gorgeous regardless.
ReplyDeleteWe called it "hung-seous", I'd go from living my life like a normal non-ravenous human to being so hungry I was nauseous. It was an immediate need, and only Nutella made it better!
ReplyDeleteLol Becca. We call it "hangry"- when you get so hungry you're angry.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanna,
ReplyDeleteI noticed your comment about many prenatal vitamins being 'like horse pills'. Though you've found a better alternative with the chewable option I wanted to introduce you to Premama (www.drinkpremama.com). It's a Prenatal Drink, founded by a friend of mine, that's all-natural and actually tastes good! I'll send you an e-mail with further information, but I hope you'll have a chance to check out their website. It could be a great product for you during your journey to Baby #2!
Feel free to contact me with any questions and congratulations to you, Alex and Toby!
Rachel
Too cute! Pregnant women are so gorgeous. They glow!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to hear how you are going with your pregnancy, I guess it's different for every women, though the body pillow seems indispensable!
ReplyDeleteHi Joanna. May I ask you what size is your Everlane shirt? I'd like to order one but I want it to fit loose. THanks!
ReplyDeletenykeiko.com
Congratulations Joanna!!! I too am pregnant with my second and due in July, just a few weeks after my girl's birthday and a few weeks before my own birthday, what a gift! I also find myself comparing this pregnancy to my first, what I notice most is how quickly I am showing now vs my first! I swear I look 6 months but am only 19 weeks, haha. Oh well, breastfeeding will help out. Xoxo, Teresa
ReplyDeleteI see multiple people mentioned the lack of iron and calcium in those gummi prenatals, but I wanted to mention that you might check out Bellybar's chewable Prenatals. I took the gummi ones for month's before realizing their shortcomings and then switched to the Bellybar ones. I can't swallow pills so they were a lifesaver! Still are while I'm nursing! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful! :) I'll have to remember those chewable vitamins for the future! hugs!
ReplyDeleteYay for belly shots :) it is my favourite part about when online friends are pregnant, you can actually feel a part of their pregnancy with them then
ReplyDeleteyou look great, joanna.
Who is the little girl standing with the horse in the picture on your mantle? Its precious.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful experience, truly a time to treasure.
ReplyDeleteSO cute! I have been following your blog for a while now and am 20 weeks pregnant with my first babe. When I found out I was pregnant I went back through your blog and read ALL of your pregnancy posts. I was SO excited when you posted about being pregnant again, because I knew I could look forward to posts like this :) Your Blog makes me happy. Keep the pregnancy and mommy tips coming, I need them! xoxo
