  7. Haha, hilarious! This is always how I feel when receiving wedding invitations. Some people go all out, and then at the end of the day you just throw it away. (What a waste.) I have slowly over the years been seeing more simple wedding invitations though. It makes me happy. People are very creative now with their simplicity too!

  16. Ah, so SO true (and funny as hell). What has come to be my favorite saying, "Comparison is the thief of joy." fits pretty well here. We had chocolate, cheese, and free drinks at ours which I hope made up for our handmade wedding invitations!

  25. Oh I can relate to this. When planning my wedding a few years ago I was outraged by the price of invitations. People barely look at them twice! This is why I started my own stationery design business to help brides save some money without sacrificing design!

  39. Hahahaha, I just recently had to send out wedding invitations in the US and now have to send a different version in Korea and I definitely agree, this stuff gets intense! We tried not to get sucked into the madness, but it wasn't easy. So glad that part is mostly over! Thanks so much for sharing, so nice to get a good laugh about this stuff!

  53. Hiring photographer should be done before 2-3 months in advance. Good photographers mostly tend to stay booked up so they need advance notice so that they can schedule your wedding in their plan.
