Smitten Kitchen cookbook

Smitten Kitchen, the warm and wonderful food blog, just came out with a cookbook! Deb Perelman cooks fearlessly in her tiny kitchen in New York City and creates delicious and approachable recipes. (She's a firm believer that "there are no bad cooks, just bad recipes.") The book has 105 recipes (almost all are brand new), funny personal stories and a lay-flat binding so the cookbook will stay open on your kitchen counter.

Bravo, Deb! Cannot wait to get my hands on it. I have a feeling that it'll be one of those beloved cookbooks we'll not only use in the kitchen but also read in bed before falling asleep:)

P.S. Her lazy egg sandwich...

Can't wait to get this cookbook (maybe I'll find some great recipes before I host 25 people in Atlanta for Thanksgiving!) My other fave new(ish) cookbook is The Cook's Illustrated Cookbook. 800 pages of delightful recipes. Mmmmm.

My husband surprised me with this as a gift last night, and we then read recipes aloud to each other before bed. Glad I'm not the only one with that impulse!

I know the feeling! I was just trying to justify buying the book this morning and a second one at her signing in SF this Sunday (since we have to). I'm worried the book will be sold out-- I just can't wait any longer!

I registered for this book for my wedding! It may be kind of silly, but I'd really like to have it and I'm hoping someone (younger) who may not be able to spend as much will enjoy buying it for my fiance and me!

I never buy cookbooks because of the internet making them so readily available. This one, though, I have to have. :) Thanks for letting us know. www.laurenmaxwell.blogspot.com
