Were you guys Simpsons fans? I never watched it growing up, but nowadays I'll see an random episode and it is totally hilarious. Well, here's the title sequence of the Simpsons, but done with real actors. Super clever, and the Bart actor is a great skateboarder!

ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome! I can't wait to show it to my husband!
ReplyDeleteoh I love it!!
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't this from years ago? Like, 2006? Someone reposted it on Reddit this morning.
ReplyDeleteSo not new but still funny! I always pictured Homer being way handsomer than that - he does have plenty of admirers after all!
such an awesome video! I watch the simpsons here and there.
ReplyDeleteThat's so great! Haha.
ReplyDeleteSo funny, this is right up mu hubby's alley.
ReplyDeleteLove this! I got really into watching the Simpson's with my boyfriend (soon to be husband) in high school! It was one of the only shows we both liked to watch together! Him & his brother will love this : )
ReplyDeleteLove this...took me two viewings to spot it's in the UK. Home sweet home, eh?
ReplyDeletethat is great! i think i would actually rather watch the simpsons with real actors!
ReplyDelete@myheartscontentblog, yes! i was wondering where it was filmed. such a long grassy driveway + marge is on the "wrong" side of the car:)
ReplyDeletekatherine, yes, it's from a while back; i just saw it on kottke last night.
ReplyDeleteHa! So great! And I was thinking the same thing-- that little kid has mastered that skateboard!

hahahah, this is awesome, although for some reason Lisa and Marge somehow don't fit the characters as much as I'd like. The music teacher is surprisingly very similar to the one in the cartoon. Thanks Joanna.

Genius!! Thanks for the Thurs afternoon lunchtime laugh:)
ReplyDeleteThat was the cutest.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! I'm a huge fan of The Simpsons so this was really neat to see. I hope the people over at the show saw this.
ReplyDeleteThis live action sequence was filmed in 2006 for Sky TV, which airs The Simpsons in the UK. They aired it as a promo to advertise the new series that year. Funny how old stuff becomes new again! Although this never gets old, it is so well-executed.
ReplyDeleteso, this may sound a little irresponsible because of how inappropriate the simpsons were, but that was a staple in my house growing up. i watched that with my stepdad and brother, rolling around on the floor laughing, and can probably quote every episode. my husband, on the other hand, quotes seinfeld with EVERY event/occurrance in our lives, and i have no clue what he's talking about.

This is great! I love the attention to detail.
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this. My dad is obsessed with the Simpsons and, weirdly, it holds a special place in my heart :)
ReplyDeleteThat was really cool!
ReplyDeleteI think it's even more hilarious that it was done in Britain!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Erika--I love that it was the Brits who came up with such a fun riff on an American show.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!

That is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThat was amazing. Wish I did a video like that for my brother's wedding - our family loves the Simpsons.
ReplyDeletesuch a creative video ! love it ! im a big fan of simpsons!
ReplyDeleteI was never allowed to watch the Simpsons as a child, my parents thought it was too rude, but my boyfriend absolutely loves it and has been encouraging me to watch it too. Now I absolutely love it! But not the most recent seasons, the first eight or so are the best. Anyone who likes sitcoms will LOVE the first seasons! I highly recommend it to everyone! The first season is my personal favourite.
ReplyDeleteI have also seen this film before and think it is very cute. Although I prefer the cartoon version :)
I remember seeing this and thinking wow was this ever well done. Imagine if there was a family that acted just like The Simpsons did.
