Hitchcock movie

Have you guys seen the amazing trailer for Hitchcock? Hitting theaters on November 23rd, the movie tells the love story between Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville during the 1959 filming of Psycho. Anthony Hopkins (above, left) looks just like him! He really transformed himself. Will you see it?
P.S. Hitchcock stamps.

  1. ooooooh! that looks so good! i love Hitchcock so i will definitely be seeing this. Seems like there's a sudden rise in Hitchcock popularity?? I also just read about this movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2132485/ called "The Girl" which is about the dynamic between Hitchcock and Tippi Hedren. Will you see that one too?

  8. This looks really intriguing. Of course, I'll be about 9 months pregnant by the time it comes out so I don't know how able I will be to sit in a movie theatre but I'll definitely catch it on DVD. I love Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren. Great movie suggestion!

  10. I'm so excited for this, too! Although I've heard some criticism that Hopkins really didn't match Hitchcock's signature voice. I'd imagine that it might be distracting or seem too mocking to emphasize it much. I wonder what that decision making process was like?

  15. Wow, how did I miss hearing about this? I'm a big Hitchcock fan. His are the only kind of (slightly) suspenseful, not-at-all-scary movies I can handle. And just in time for Halloween. Thanks for sharing the news!

  20. Thanks for posting this -- the movie looks really good. Am I the only one who is obsessed with movie trailers? I downloaded the Apple Trailers app and revel in popping in my headphones, curling up under the covers, and watching trailers on my iPad after my toddler's gone to bed ... of course, I 'favorite' all of these movies (like Hitchcock) that I'll probably never see in the theatres or stay up long enough to watch on a free weekend night!

  29. After reading NY Time's Magazine's interview with Tippi Hedren (A Muse's Revenge, 10/7/12), I can't help but wonder if this new movie is in direct response to "The Girl." Being blackmailed and stalked by a powerful (and married) movie director doesn't sound very romantic at all. I'd like to see both movies. And yes, Anthony Hopkins is great.
