Do you have a dog?
P.S. Puppy butt! Plus, dog names and more round-ups...

A friend who runs her own dog photography business http://www.muttsbeloved.com/ is doing a session with my dogs for my mom (who looks after my dogs for a majority of time). It's a present to make her smile during the yucky days after chemo she's going through. It's amazing the effect animals have on us. Natural Therapy!

ReplyDeleteThe You and Me and the Dog print is so perfect. We are huge dog lovers!!
ReplyDeleteI used to have a dog a few years ago, I really missed having one. They just require a lot of attention and while I was in school, it was hard to do that. Love all these things!

That pug pet portrait is SO pretty! I grew up with dogs - my parents have 5! But I am currently looking to rescue a puppy in the next few weeks with my boyfriend and can't wait! It is totally true that they bring so much happy to a home.
ReplyDeleteI love every thing!
ReplyDeleteI have the sweetest little adopted Dachshund (possible mix). Adopted from the Boston City Animal Shelter. He is wonderful and just loves to cuddle. I always wonder about his life before he came to us. I strongly recommend adopting a dog. There are so many lovable ones that need homes. Also, people always give me dachshund gifts now, which is so funny. I just know years from now I am going to be this little old lady with about three dachshunds and dachshund mugs, salt+pepper shakers, etc.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I have one.
ReplyDeleteActually, I have two!
Big furry rescues both.
Absolute joy.
I don't have a dog... yet! But I love the mug so cute!
ReplyDeleteOhhh...I like your new layout!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a dog - I'm a cat person and I have two cats. HOWEVER, my little girl's first word is "DOG" and its the only word she says with some regularity and searches for dog photos in her book. So I am afraid of our future... :) This is a very cute round-up and I might need to get one of these for my little girl!
ReplyDeleteI have a Dogue de Bordeaux named Beasley. He's almost 7 months old and already weighs 85 lbs! He makes me laugh every single day. I love every bit of him. :)
ReplyDeletei have a red golden retriever named Molly Ringwald and she's the best dog in the world! we got her as a rescue dog when we lived in a one bedroom apartment (couldn't say no) and it worked out find - you just spend a lot of your time in the park. now we're in a house with a backyard!
ReplyDeleteomg! I love those pet portraits...too fun. my fiance and I don't have a dog...but we just put the request in to our landlord to get one. I managed to talk my fiance into getting a pug if we get the official 'okay' (I've wanted a pug for YEARS...literally my dream dog!)
ReplyDeleteI'm desperate for a doggie! I would love that gorgeous wallpaper!!
ReplyDeleteAbi x
Jo, you should check out prints by David Hockney--he does a whole series on his dachshunds that are to-die-for.
ReplyDeleteThe Book ends made me think of this weiner dog stationery on Minted. http://www.minted.com/product/personalized-stationery/MIN-58V-PST/weiner-dog
ReplyDeleteAwww love this! Can't imagine life without a puppy :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable! My roommate is pre-veteranarean, so we are pretty much big saps when it comes to dogs! We briefly considered raising guide dogs for their first year, but then decided against it, considering we live on the fourth floor. (Potty training nightmares!) I might have to get her one of these for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love my two boxers so much and can't imagine life without them. I got Arthur when he was a wee pup and I was just a wee pup of 24. We have gone through so much together! We moved from Atlanta to LA, we fell in love mutually with a boy when I was 28 and he was 4, we moved to the bay area and now we have moved on to Oregon as a family. We adopted another boxer, Moses just this past February from a boxer rescue which was a GREAT decision. Seeing them cuddled up together melts my heart and they are hilarious. Now we have a bebe on the way and I feel so blessed with our little family. Dogs rule!
ReplyDeleteLove this post! A life with dogs should definitely be celebrated! It is such a joy to see people embracing pet-inspired decor!

Umm... as a librarian who is obsessed with her dog, I think I need those bookends. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI have two mini dachshunds, Penny & Harvey, and I treat them as my children (I don't have any human kids). I'm pretty obsessed with them, as anyone would attest. Their compact size (15lbs each) makes it easy for me to bring them places, and the adapt well to being outside in a big yard, to living in a studio apartment (we've moved from NYC - BOS - LA together).
ReplyDeleteI even told my boyfriend that they had to approve of him for us to continue dating (luckily, they both love him very much).
Of course, I have numerous items around my apartment that consists of dachshunds. Those bookends are obviously a clear favorite of mine! :-)
these are so awesome, we have a french bulldog and he is heaven. thought you might like this pic: http://frommpdaily.blogspot.com/2012/09/for-your-morning-enjoyment.html
ReplyDeleteI did have a dog, until this afternoon. We had to put him down today. He was 9 years old, always full energy and always a puppy at heart. Unfortunately he was also a Hoover, in that he ate everything. His favorite things to eat besides dog or human food was underwear and socks which finally led to his demise. During these past 9 years he has comforted me through some of the hardest times and brought a lot of joy to my life. Unfortunately after we had kids, these past couple of years probably weren't his most fun, since he didn't get the same attention, and also after he tore his ACL, he hasn't been allowed to run off leash like wild like he loved to do. I just wish his last couple of years could have been as happy and carefree as his first 7. I hope he knows we loved him just the same even though we couldn't give him the same attention these past couple of years. We are really really going to miss him and our hearts ache for him.
ReplyDeleteI've had my eye on the Jonathan Adler dachshund book ends for ages! They are adorable. They also had a dachshund butter dish! If only that store wasn't so expensive! LOVE it though.
ReplyDeleteThis topic is something that I have been looking into for a while now and your insight is exceptional. Thanks for sharing this information.
