No problem. I think we all think these things to ourselves about each other all the time but you never know how much it can mean to someone to just say it out loud :)

  9. I am racing to finish painting and decorating our living room area before the hubby gets back from a bachelor party! He is not good at invisioning my ideas, so he is always hesitant about decorating. But, once paint and decorations are on the wall, I know he will love it! Now it is just a race to get it done before he comes home :) Have a great weekend!

  18. oh, Jo - that post from The Wednesday Chef made my heart sing and my eyes tear (a little bit). Yes, yes, it is such a beautiful testament to place, to family, to islands of calm in the midst of life, to bonds of love that sometimes hurt. It was just what I needed to read when I needed it today. THank you, so much.

  23. Initially, I laughed at their pantomimes as well. However, as I was thinking about it, I don't think it is very fair to do so. A) They are clearly very dedicated parents who support and believe in their daughter; and B) if their daughter makes it to the Olympics (and gets GOLD!), then they can act however the ***** they want. Clearly ,whatever they're doing is working!

  29. I saw the replay of Aly Raisman's parents during the original trials airing, and I was in tears--and not because I thought it was funny. I thought it was so touching and so demonstrative of their love (and knowledge of her routine!).

  37. You know what's hilarious? The guy in the video about English to foreigners is my colleague!! I saw this video for the first time ages ago via this blog post you're suggesting, before I even moved to Australia! Then, I've been living in Oz and working at my job for two months, sitting just across the way from my friend Karl. We've even had lunch together (he normally wears glasses, and has much shorter hair, and looks different altogether). Just by CHANCE he showed me something on his youtube chanel, and I saw that video, and turns out IT'S HIM!! AHAHAHA Our minds were literally blown by this small-world. Well, mine was, he just thought it was neat that this little video him and his partner did for a competition has become so international. And then, after we spent Thursday/Friday of this week discussing this, BOOM, it's making the rounds again this weekend! HOW STRANGE IS THIS?!?!

I'll be blogging about this all in a couple of days, at http://elizaoverthemoon.blogspot.com

  39. So funny. My son had to take an eye test for his lazy eye when he was three. They had a photo chart for him since 3 year olds can't usually recgonize numbers. There was a picture of an old school phone on the chart & he thought it was some kind of truck!
