Summer wedges

Many days I wear flats, but they don't look that great with summer dresses. (My legs always feel short.) So, I recently got these peep-toe wedges. Wedges make your legs look long and lean, and this particular pair is super comfy. Also, they make me feel sexier when going out to dinner with Alex. Thoughts? (This yellow pair is cute, too.)
P.S. The Parisian wedges that started my love affair.

  1. Wedges are such a God send. I love flats too, but like you, not with skirts or dresses. These look so comfortable! Love them =)

  2. Wedges are the best! Naturalizer has a dressy pair out this winter that I bought once and when I had it worn down at the end of the season, bought it again when it was on sale. Though I have to say my casual summer plateau (almost a wedge) sandals from Kork-Ease are the most comfortable heel I have EVER owned http://www.zappos.com/kork-ease-deborah-natural-vacchetta

  3. I recently bought a nice pair of wedges and am looking forward to wearing them. Like the ones you have pictured, they aren't too high. I don't like the ones that are super high - they look clunky. Just enough to give a bit of height makes such a difference!

I love all these wedges. I need the peep toe wedges without an ankle strap bc my ankles are thick. So pretty!

I'm already taller then all my friends (5'9". I wish I could wear 3" wedges..they're adorable!

  10. Those are so cute! It's unfortunate that my feet are wide and flat and look terrible in peep-to sandals.

I also love that they're named after Canada's former Prime Minister, Pierre Trudeau...he was sort of Canada's answer to Kennedy :)

  11. Love those...looking for the same look in a traditional strap. Ankle straps are uncomfortable when you are on your feet all day...at leat for me

  12. if only I walked more elegantly in heels! I'm ungraceful all around. but maybe if I start telling myself that heels = balance, it'll happen : )

  13. My brother once told me wedges were one of those trends for girls, not guys (as in we wear them because we love them, despite the fact that they don't)... hm.

Oh well, I LOVE them! These are chic enough for officewear, too, which is always a plus.

  14. i love wedge sandals. just bought a pair of Clark Indigo wedge sandals on Zappos. so cute and i wore them walking around for about 10 hours without sore feet! success! i'm going to have to check out the other ones you posted. comfort for me is key.

  16. I love wedges! I have a strappy pair in a color similar to this and they seem to go with everything. and SO comfy. by Aerosoles, so that's their thing, comfort. but I love the ankle strap on these! and the heel height is perfect. it is so hard to find cute heels 3" and under-- I'm almost 5'9" so the five-inchers make me a giant! :)

These are my favorite wedges ever! I wore them last night on a date (my first date since a breakup and first date in about 3 years). We walked around a lake (well man made since we live in Phoenix but still nice) for about an hour and my feet never hurt. I also wore a dress from ASOS that I got with the cup of Jo discount, so thanks Joanna! I felt pretty and confident and the date went well. And it went on for almost 7 hours!

    Yuck.

Avid Cup of Jo Reader for 2 years, and I'm offended about the short comment.

Tiny thing. Women shouldn't need long lean legs to feel confident.

    This post made me sad.

  20. Love those - the height looks comfortable. However, my dancer sister always warns me about ankle straps. They break up the line of the leg and make your legs look shorter. You don't want to visually create a break at the ankle, the line should go all the way down and preferably include some toe cleavage!

  22. Yeah, I'm undecided. I think they give an easy going feel to an outfit. But I'm still not sure I love them with dresses. I just ordered some... I fear they will be too clunky though.

  23. Well, well, well, I think like I will buy some wedges (in Paris sales), or will I take out the ones I used to wear, wait, wait, wait, 7 years ago!? :))

  24. I could wear wedges every single day, every where! Thanks for this link. Love these to bits.

  25. I'm wearing the same Jeffrey Campbell pair today! I've been wearing them all summer with everything - skirts, dresses, pants. Only wish I had them in blue too. Wedges are a great compromise.

  29. Yes, Joanna, how dare you say you feel short. ;) Anoymous sounds sensitive!

I love wedges! So funny you post this, because this year is the first time I purchased shoes, including wedges, at a sensible height. I got a neutral color of Clarks this spring and looooove them (and they came in narrow, hurrah!). Love your shoes as well!

  30. These shoes are the best purchase I've made in a long time! I'm actually wearing them at work right now. Not only are they perfectly chic they also make walking in the city ok.

  31. Wedges are my fave type of heel because they don't hurt your feet like other heels do! Great Post!

  32. Oh, I am almost 100% flats, and happy! I guess it would be different were I shorter, as I guess I would've learned how to walk in heels earlier, but as it is, I always feel a little unsteady on my feet - which *can* be a somewhat alluring feeling, but mainly I like all my outfits to satisfy the test of whether I could leave the country at a moments notice in them (not because I ever need to. Just because I like to think that I could.)
And that's really at its all about: wear the shoes that give you confidence! Whether that's converse, simple leather sandals, frye lumberjack boots (yes, yes and yes, for me) or wedges :)

Kitten heels though... Man, I just don't get that shizz. Go big or go home!

These are cute but I am a flats girl. I buy wedges but never wear them. I am 5'10 so I never really worry about looking taller or having longer legs. I love a cute flat with a dress.

  43. I love wedges. They work for casual occasions, but they can also be dressed up. I bought a pair of low wedges (maybe 1-1.5") for my trip to Italy last summer. They're just as comfy as flats, but made me feel a little cuter.

Thos are cute! I used to wear wedges, but I found that I didn't like them as well as heels or flats, especially if the wedge is a bit narrow in back (I found my feet rolled from time to time in them if I caught an edge, and the wedge part scuffed up fairly easily). Right now I'm really into dressy ballet flats with some interest like a toe cap or bows, even with skirts and dresses, or if I really want to feel sexy, heels. I do like the look of the wedges with the denim skirt in that Sartorialist photo from last year though!

  46. I love wedges! However I have an ankle that I have sprained several times and I cannot wear the super high wedges (or heels for that matter) that seem to be popular right now. I wish I could find a pair that had a lower heel!

  49. I have never really worn wedges, but seriously think I need to get some. I am a flats girl too, but like to dress things up with a heel occasionally, but they are so uncomfortable. Thanks for the recommendations!

  59. According to that representative, “When aspiring singers talked about their singing dreams, and how it’s hard to chase them and expressed their sad thoughts of giving this dream up, Yang Yoseob was seen choking with tears”. Yang Yoseob was also a singer who faced many setbacks before he managed to debut. Because of this, he could understand the feelings of those who aspires to be singers, hence the tears.
Yang Yoseob even had times where he wanted to give up on his dreams, but he held on and came to his current agency with Lee Kikwang. Eventually, he became a part of BEAST.
