Accidental twins

Yesterday afternoon was sunny and gorgeous, so Toby and I met friends at Washington Square Park. Everything was going swimmingly...until I realized that I was dressed exactly--exactly--like my friend's four-year-old son. I sometimes tease myself for dressing like a ten-year-old boy, but I guess I was six years off. :)

P.S. I need to wear these wedges.

  10. haha that's great! My husband and I sometimes do this where we'll both throw on some jeans and a stripey shirt and put on our coats. Once we get to wherever we're going, the coats come off and we're twins for the rest of the evening:)

    Hi!
You made me and my mom wonder about butterfly effect. You see, a few days ago she bought me some piece of clothing and didn't want to tell what it was (I am in a boarding school and was supposed to receive this thing today). And now, suddenly, she calls me and tells to visit Your blog (of which she's a great fan). She asked me if I like the striped shirt and after my positive response just said ,,That's good''. I don't think it's necessary to add what kind of clothing she bought...
BTW, I want o say we both admire your blog and your wonderful photos (mainly photos as my mom's English is not so good).
Greetings from the other side of the world

Jewelry is what normally differenciates me from my 3 years old son.

I dress just like you, have done since the age of 14 I think. I remember my father saying to me one day "Catherine, when are you going to dress like a girl?". I reminded him of this a few years back and he was horrified he'd ever uttered it.

  110. That is hilarious! A few months ago I was waiting for a friend outside of a junior high school. I was dressed very casually (converse, jeans, hoody) and felt comfortable. And then the kids got out of school, and it's like they were wearing their school uniform, only I was, too! All the boys AND girls were wearing the same thing as me. I went home and decided that sometimes I should try to look at least a little bit more grown up! Short ladies like me need all the help we can get to make sure we don't blend in with the kids!

  118. One day I arrived at work, sat down at my desk and my manager knocks and walks in my office to talk to my office mate and me. I turn around and slowly realize he and I are wearing the same outfit. Dark blue jeans, brown belt, brown boots (though mine are tall), a bright salmon shirt, and a navy cardigan. I laugh HYSTERICALLY and am barely able to point out our matching outfits. Though he usually has a good sense of humor, a 40-year-old man is apparently not amused by matching clothes with a 20-something girl. To this day, I still laugh when I think about it. Just one of those funny coincidences in life. :)
