Yesterday afternoon was sunny and gorgeous, so Toby and I met friends at Washington Square Park. Everything was going swimmingly...until I realized that I was dressed exactly--exactly--like my friend's four-year-old son. I sometimes tease myself for dressing like a ten-year-old boy, but I guess I was six years off. :)P.S. I need to wear these wedges.

Adorable! You both look comfortable and chic.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable!
ReplyDeleteJo - I was just going to send you an email but perhaps I will catch you here since I am the first commenting - you need to watch this video, you would love it!

ReplyDeleteYou both look cute. What a shame you're not the same size so you can borrow from each other;-)
haha that's great! My husband and I sometimes do this where we'll both throw on some jeans and a stripey shirt and put on our coats. Once we get to wherever we're going, the coats come off and we're twins for the rest of the evening:)

ReplyDeleteI have a four year old boy and we pretty much always dress exactly the same... actually wearing what you were ;) I always say that I can't help it if my kid is so cool!!!

ReplyDelete:) :) :)
Hi!
ReplyDeleteYou made me and my mom wonder about butterfly effect. You see, a few days ago she bought me some piece of clothing and didn't want to tell what it was (I am in a boarding school and was supposed to receive this thing today). And now, suddenly, she calls me and tells to visit Your blog (of which she's a great fan). She asked me if I like the striped shirt and after my positive response just said ,,That's good''. I don't think it's necessary to add what kind of clothing she bought...
BTW, I want o say we both admire your blog and your wonderful photos (mainly photos as my mom's English is not so good).
Greetings from the other side of the world
Justyna from Poland
PS:Sorry for mistakes...Still learning English...

ReplyDeleteImagine that poor kid having to explain to his friends that he was dressed like a 30+-year-old mom. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness how cute! I think we've all fallen victim to "dressing like a boy" at some point. But is it our fault that those soft t-shirts and Chuck Taylers are so cute?? :)
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious...though you get away with cute...if you had dressed to match your husband that would just be weird.
ReplyDeleteJoanna you don't need wedges, you juest need some accessories, like some nice gold bracelets, a watch and a coloured necklace.
ReplyDeleteJewelry is what normally differenciates me from my 3 years old son.

~Kirsten from mylifetintedpink.blogspot.com
Adorable! But, perhaps, he is dressed like a 30 year-old woman :)
ReplyDeleteHilarious!
ReplyDeleteHilarious!!
ReplyDeleteI dress just like you, have done since the age of 14 I think. I remember my father saying to me one day "Catherine, when are you going to dress like a girl?". I reminded him of this a few years back and he was horrified he'd ever uttered it.
He is quite a hip 4 yr old, I must say!
Wow..you ,Ashley and Sharon at one park...you are "my" celebrities ...lol....I love this photo...so cute
ReplyDeleteHaha. I love this!
ReplyDeleteThis has really made my day heeehee xx

ReplyDeletethough, i think i've already hit my limit of $100+/pair shoes this year. stupid cute styles!! haha
it's more like that boy is dressed like a girl.
ReplyDeleteVery cute!!!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious! A few months ago I was waiting for a friend outside of a junior high school. I was dressed very casually (converse, jeans, hoody) and felt comfortable. And then the kids got out of school, and it's like they were wearing their school uniform, only I was, too! All the boys AND girls were wearing the same thing as me. I went home and decided that sometimes I should try to look at least a little bit more grown up! Short ladies like me need all the help we can get to make sure we don't blend in with the kids!
ReplyDeleteLove this!!
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha! This is hilarious! Too cute.
ReplyDelete~ Clare x
hahaha. this one is really funny. but it's all good.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha
ReplyDeleteJust what I needed this slightly stressful morning! Awesome!!
Hahaha, that is FANTASTIC!!
ReplyDeleteRight down to the shoes! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteLOL Hilarious!!! Too cute
ReplyDeleteOne day I arrived at work, sat down at my desk and my manager knocks and walks in my office to talk to my office mate and me. I turn around and slowly realize he and I are wearing the same outfit. Dark blue jeans, brown belt, brown boots (though mine are tall), a bright salmon shirt, and a navy cardigan. I laugh HYSTERICALLY and am barely able to point out our matching outfits. Though he usually has a good sense of humor, a 40-year-old man is apparently not amused by matching clothes with a 20-something girl. To this day, I still laugh when I think about it. Just one of those funny coincidences in life. :)

http://mykitschworld.blogspot.com/
Love it! That is one highly-fashionable four year old. Stripes, converse and skinny jeans are definitely one of my go-to outfits, so I guess I dress like a four-year-old too.
ReplyDeleteIn that case, I think I do too!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! You both look wonderful. And if you look at the lady behind you in the green sweater she is wearing the same striped shirt and jeans too! Can't see her shoes though. :)
ReplyDeletewow- hilarious!! glad you could find humor in that- you look just as cute as a 4 year old- but prettier:)
ReplyDeletethis is awesome. And I'm with you on this one...my playground uniform is quite similar to yours and this little guy's except my cons are a gold/silver glitter and sometimes I alternate them with casual boots:) ha
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! He must've thought he dressed like a girl.

ReplyDeleteThis is effing HILARIOUS! The same exact thing happened to my friend at the Barcelona airport. The outfit was ankle-length black leggings, jean skirt, white top with black cardie, and converse. We quickly snapped a photo of her and the five year-old girl and laughed for ages.
ReplyDeleteReally gets you feeling feminine and ladylike, aye?
