How sweet are these heart elbow patches? The steps to make them don't actually look that hard! I'm the least crafty person ever, but I'd love to try it. They would make the most basic sweater instantly adorable.
What a lovely twist on an old professor-ish idea! I love men's wear inspired clothing, and I think this would be an awesome contrast in my wardrobe! Thanks!
Just made some shortbread cookies that would go perfectly with this sweater! http://becauseofmadalene.blogspot.com/2012/02/shortbread-heart-cookies.html
I did this last weekend from that tutorial. It was really easy and the sweater looks adorable. My advice is to not fill the cookie cutter too full, or the patch is easy to peel off. The good news is that there are no holes in the sweater, so you can just peel it off and try again!
I just bought something with elbow patches on it for the first time (a cardigan) and I have to say they're pretty fun! It's just this little extra special touch to an outfit.
That is brilliant ! Now i have to think which sweaters 'need' patches or a make-over :) .I'm really thinking of adding this to all the kids jackets for a V-day surprise :)Wouldn't be cool if they put on their jackets at the same time and notice a little hearts!!?? Priceless photos shoot ....and I have 4 potential kiddos for this lovely surprise ...
Hey I've made these: http://tomandemma.wordpress.com/2011/11/15/my-hipster-elbows/
My advice would be to use a leather fabric or something that won't pill in the wash. And also get someone else to mark your elbow spot because I did a bad job of that!
Great idea... I recently did some of these for my boring and drab sweaters and what a difference it makes :Please visit my blog www.stylishlymebytaryn.blogspot.com
I am in love with these heart elbow patches! incredibly sweet, and I love the contrast of the red on the tan/ecru/natural tone :) Such a fun idea!! Wish I was more of a DIY kinda gal!
Oh this is just too cute, and so comfortable too.
