Have a great weekend.

What are you doing this weekend? My dad's coming to visit from Michigan, and we're going out for pasta and to this rad exhibit. Toby will be showing off his new walking backwards skills, which he thinks is the same as doing the moonwalk. More or less! Have a wonderful weekend, and here are a few great posts from around the web...

Who wants coffee?

Raddest photos of fireflies.

Made me laugh.

Back to the Future comes to Broadway.

Rainbow nails.

Amsterdam is so cold right now that you can ice skate on the canals!

Double cuteness.

This gives me spring fever.

Toby and I are equally enamored with this great book.

Yes! Murray's Cheese has a tumblr!

Plus, I did two little interviews: for Loeffler Randall and DwellStudio.

Have a good one! xoxo

Thanks for the tip on Along A Long Road. Although its a children's book, i think it would be the perfect gift a for a dear friend's 30th birthday! She and her boyfriend just opened a bicycle shop and very excited about this new journey.

  21. I recently ran across a lovely video on Facebook of the Amsterdam ice skating! It really chokes me up because I grew up in Holland (and the music doesn't help either): http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=0KZtgWoARsw Makes me miss my mother country! I now live in North Dakota, of all places.

  37. Hm, I'm calling the bluff on those lattes. Usually when you get a "lovely heart or flower" in your latte, that's poured latte art - done as the barista pours the milk into the espresso in a certain shape. These are drawn ("etched") on top of the foam with a toothpick or other tool. As the tshirt I made for my coffee roaster/barista fiance says, "etching is not latte art."

In other news, I'm not saying I could make those designs, just providing information.

  44. Lashley, you'll notice that we did say in our post that the lattes were etched. Our barista friends at Stumptown love them either way, so I'd say they count as latte art.

    Thanks for looking. :) -LR
