Alex and I are taking Toby to ride a miniature train and then going to a romantic dinner on Saturday night (no babies allowed:) I've already perused the menu and am going to get the lamb meatballs! Love the photo of the dog! I'll be working this weekend, at Marimekko. It's a lovely shop with lots of colorful and creative fabrics - it's always inspiring to be there. I recently visited the Marimekko shop on 5th Avenue in NY, it was beautiful! I really enjoy your blog. Have a fun weekend! :-)

Fun as always! Thanks for making my Friday bright :-) Of course the dog is close to my heart... And I think my little poodle (13 lbs) and huge mastiff (130 lbs) will enjoy that too.
I totally know what you mean about those awesome work clothes. My work environment is very relaxed and there isn't a real dress code at all. My "regular" clothes are even a tad dressier than my coworker's wardrobes. While it is nice to be able to just throw on an outfit and come into work, sometimes I'm jealous of a more corporate environment and their fancy pants outfits.

From someone WITH an office job, I'd love to assure you that, despite the adorableness of those work ensembles, NOTHING can persuade me that my day would not be better spent at home, writing, and drinking coffee on this rainy San Francisco day. Instead of sitting at my office job.

P.S. Would you ever do a post about dating older men? I know that Alex is thirteen years older than you, which I thought was a lot until I started seeing someone who is ten years older than I am and we have no problem with it! He is a great guy and we have so much in common intellectually which means a lot. But, my friends have been skeptical and I cannot imagine talking to my parents about it! What do you think? How do you/did you go about it with your relationship with Alex?
