What's your favorite (and sexiest) body part?

My friend L. and I were recently hanging out, when our conversation turned to dating and sex. "I feel amazing as soon as I take off my shirt," she admitted. "My breasts are my showpiece." It made me laugh; her confidence was inspiring.

I'm pale as a ghost and flat as a board, but I have to say, I really like my freckles, especially the Big Dipper constellation on my right thigh :) What do you love about your body? Your hair? Your eyes? Your legs?

I would have to say that I feel sexiest when my collarbone is showing. It may be the only delicate part of me:)

I like my calves and my back the best. I wear high heels about every day so they've got some sculpture, and I like wearing dresses that are high-cut in the front and low-cut in the back.

It's pretty strange but I like my long neck and my husband loves my eyes. xo (Btw: that photo is sexy. Love)

I have pretty hazel eyes, long legs that go "all the way to my hips," and tremendous and beautiful boobies. I think that "trifecta" offset the parts I'm not so secure about (like post-baby stretchmarks on my belly).

I love my eyes - love them. And my back, and my butt ;) I have a really great butt. And a pretty great collarbone too.

My grandmother used to say that when she looked in the mirror she only saw her hair and her breasts because she liked to focus on her strengths. She didn't waste time agonizing over her imperfections. So inspiring :)

I used to absolutely hate my red hair. Then after my father died, I realized my red hair was something that connected me to him -- it was a constant reminder that he'll always be with me. I love it now!!

The same thing is true of my surgical scars. Every one of them reminds me where I've been and how far I've come. I've learned not to be ashamed of them or try to hide them. :)

i am really proud of my legs! i'm a runner and so they're strong, but sexy. i'm 5ft 10 and they are the majority of my height. :)

*I* have the Big Dipper on *my* right thigh. That is so bizarre!

When I was an awkward little 9th grader, I found out that a VERY cute boy had said, in reference to me, "Oh, you mean the girl with the cute butt?" It has been my favorite body part ever since. :)

macaca grava por cima said...

my collar bones, sholders, and breast area (this last one before pregnancy and breastfeeding was even better). I do not dislike my legs from the knee down...

Fashalina aka The Hyperbalist said...

Butt!! haha. I'm cuban, and have had a bubble booty since I was literally three years old. Don't know what it is with Latins and their booties but they are just always anti-flat. Like you, I'm as flat as a board up top,(ACTUALLY I'm concave, it's sad how little breast I have), and am tall and lanky, so it's a total anomaly of my body that I have a giant protruding ass and I love it because it's a physical manifestation of my Cuban heritage and I am happy and proud to have it!

I think my boobs, coming in at an astonishing 34F, tend to steal the show when my shirt is off. But I honestly think the sexiest part of me is my face. I feel like I'm pretty!

I like my bottom and my boobs and the waist that marks the difference! I also really like my smile and this conversation.

I really love my bright blue eyes and my full lips. In high school, knowing my lips were one of my best features, I would practice in front of the mirror so I could that perfectly pouty look to do in class, haha! As if any of the boys even noticed, haha!

I with yah on the freckles! And my eyes and legs are tied. When I wear something blue, my eyes just pop! And when I wear something short, my legs go on for days.
I'm guessing this was your sneaky intention all along, but I think you just had a trillion women boost their own confidence today :) Thanks!!

My skin! Everyone's always told me that I have really soft and smooth skin. Which is awesome because I don't do anything for it--I don't use creams or body butters or anything. Also, I have some cute birthmarks. One on the side of my boob and the other on my waist. My husband finds those sexy because only he knows about them (and now you guys do too lol!)

funny! i just was trying to think of what body parts i like, and honestly, i'm so happy with them all!! i recently lost about 40 lbs and i'm more fit than i have ever been in my life. so although i just told a friend "my boobs are like little deflated balloons" from the weight loss, they are still healthy and proportional! i've found myself sort of checking my butt out in my bathroom mirror at least once a day lately. . . hahahaha!
i will not keep going, but what a fun way to start the day--thinking about the parts of our bodies we like most!

Gotta agree with all the collarbone love. So interesting that there seems to be a consensus -- does the fashion industry do enough to take advantage of this? I also find my little ears endearing.

LINDSAY said...

I have dainty wrists & I like them! I also think my hip bones are a little wider now that I have two little girls, which I'm perfectly happy with, since I tend to look sort of straight as a rail.

i've got legs for miles and they're slender. i also dig my collarbone because it makes me look graceful and poised.

When I was an awkward little eleven year old I commented to my favorite aunt that I didn't like my big lips. She exclaimed, "You're kidding! Big lips are sexy! You're so lucky! I wish I had big lips!" I thought she was the coolest woman in the world, and no one had ever talked to me about what was sexy before! She probably didn't realize how important that conversation was to me - she totally changed the way I thought about myself, and she was right. My lips are still my favorite feature today :)

P.S. I wish I could say my breasts were my "showpiece," what an amazing statement! I imagine my sister saying her "tits and ass" - I call her my "Kardashian sister," because she got the curves in our family! ha. xo.

I really like my stomach. For some reason it's always been shockingly flat, with my extra weight on my bottom half. I'm not exactly a belly shirt kind of girl, so sadly it stays hidden from the general public. Rats!

well in guys terms i'd probably say lips and / or boobs, but my own favourite parts are my tiny, bony wrists, and my right shoulder blade (because i have a lovely flock of birds taking off tattoed on it!)

I like my nose. It has character. And I love the colour of my eyes..blue with yellow streaks.

And yes- collarbones are among the sexiest part of the body on everyone! Do men like them as much as women do?

And I've been told I have a very sexy neck..
I am skinny with tiny boobs and long monkey arms and big feet- but I love it all. It suits me ;)

My eyelashes! Everyone asks me if I wear fake eye lashes. My response, if you gave me fake eye-lashes I wouldnt know what to do with them. My lashes are long (they hit my brow line)and are very thick, probably the reason why I love mascara so much!

What a great way to start the morning! I love my arms, which are covered in baby freckles from my shoulders all the way to my bony wrists and my hands that are just like my mom's. I love my collarbone too, and I agree with .sa-- can we get a man to weigh in on the collarbone situation?

Jules said...

I agree with an earlier commenter - I just love my hip bones. They're delicate but strong, and they make me feel womanly and sexy, like I could bear hundreds of babies. :)

You know...I get over critical and wish this or that was slimmer, firmer, smoother, and had no stretch marks but on the whole I really love my post-baby body. My boobs are amazing now, and I've always had a bubble butt, sway back and little waist. I'm of course a little squishier than I used to be and thicker on the bottom half, but instead of picking myself apart like I did when younger, I look and feel like I'm beautifully, artfully made and ultra feminine.

If I had to pick just ONE spot though that I feel is super sexy...the curve where the tiniest part of my torso meets the under side of my breast.

I like my legs. I have had the boniest legs since I was a kid. Not much has changed, except I have more muscle on my thighs and calves. They were the only thing that didn't go through a drastic change after puberty.

I love the huge difference between my big hips and my little waist (16.5 inch difference!) and the nice round butt that comes with it :) I also like my bony wrists and the way my hands move. And my big olive green eyes. I gotta agree with everyone else on the collarbones too :) My little nose because it looks like my mother's, and my feet because they look like my dad's.

And one strange one - the side of my breast when I'm laying down; it's such a lovely curve going down to my ribs :)

I guess there are a lot of things to love about a horribly imperfect body.

They are brownish/greenish/yellowish and people tell me they change color depending on the light and my mood, haha! Some call me the vampire, after the vampires in Twilight.. It's also nice to think about what your partner likes about your body, and I've found its something I don't like about myself (my butt!). kind of makes you think how skewed our visions of ourselves must be..

I also have a new-found appreciate for my legs. I always thought they were short, bow-legged and too muscular. My sister and I hiked from Mexico to Canada in 2010 on the PCT and after 2650 miles I am in awe of my legs. I see them coming out of a pencil skirt and I think, "damn girls. You did me proud."

When I started reading the first comments I thought, "man, I can't think of anything I like about my body". But after reading over a hundred comments and seeing all the self-love among women I started to realize there are things I love and am proud of!!! I just never thought of it before:

My nose
Hands and nails
My eyelashes
My small boobies are quite adorable if I really think about it
My overall shortness
My huge birthmark spanning the right side of my torso
The weird fact that hair on my right arm is blond and brown instead of all brown like my left arm
My ears
The list goes on!!

Thanks so much for the post!! I never sat and thought about what I loved about myself, only what I wish I could change! Wow!!

This is awesome, the opportunity to take some time to appreciate ourselves.

Let's see, my best features have always been my hair and eyes, in combo. I have auburn hair and brown eyes that magically seem to EXACTLY match my hair. It's a pretty unique combination too.

Other than that, I appreciate how I'm generally proportional and my hands and feets (they're VERY symmetrical and delicate-looking).

I've done so much thinking about this today because when I went to comment this morning, I couldn't even think of one thing. I'm not fat, i'm not ugly...but there is nothing about my body that I particularly like. So after a lot of thought and a lot of prayer, actually...these are the things that I like.

1) My freckles. My face is freckley and I love that. My son looks just like his dad, but he has a few freckles on his nose and they are from ME!

2) My scars. I have a massive scar down my chest from open heart surgery, plus various other ones and I love them all, especially my chest scar. My scars mean that I am a survivor, they chart my life - my heart surgery, my broken leg, my c-section. I honestly think they are the feature I love most about myself.

3) My healthiness and strength. Not very sexy I know but my legs are sturdy. Too sturdy to be beautiful but they have run a marathon, they have cycled up mountains, they make me strong. And the more I thought about the pettiness of my body worries, the more I thought about how ridiculously healthy I am and how grateful I am for that.

Thanks for inspiring a long day of thinking.

I really love the color of my eyes. I really love my chest (I figure I should love my boobs in their pre-children glory days!)! My husband loves any part of me... especially when it's unclothed, though I'd say he loves the little spot above my hip bones the most. ; ) Now that I'm working out more, I so love seeing real muscles on this slim, non-athletic body! It makes me feel strong.

I used to really hate my calves (I can never find tall boots to fit them and skinnies are a tough find, too) BUT now I love them, especially in heels. Strong and sexy! Wooo! ;) (and my boyfriend wants me to add my butt to the list. *sigh* apparently jiggles can be hot, too! Rejoice!)

Your posts are always so fun an interesting.

I love the bit bewteen by boobs and waist - my ribcage - I always highight it be wearing fitting dresses. I guess my bust, waist and hips are all part of that image.

I love that you love your freckles! I have freckles and grew up being self-conscious about them. Great to hear you so confident and fond of yours.

haha I love this post- just the other day I was thinking about how much I love my hip bones :) I felt sort of weird so I'm glad you wrote this!

I'm a ballet trained ballroom dancer, and I love and greatly appreciate the strong, lean legs which enable me to do what I love :) my boyfriend is also quite a fan of my butt lol

I'm pregnant for the second time, and my boobs are even bigger than with my first baby. I have never had cleavage before in my life and am pretty sure that after a second round of breastfeeding, they will be utterly saggy and deflated, but I love, love, love my pregnant boobs. When I'm not pregnant, I like my lips. With a little gloss, they are smoking sex bombs, or so I like to think. :)

I have nothing sexy on me/in myself. I am not a sexy woman. Even my boyfriend knows it, but I was never sexy, it is just not me. Zhe lack of confidence and the lack of a sexy body.

For sexiest, I'm definitely in the collarbone camp! Favorite though, I'd have to say my smile...it's big and extra distinctive thanks to my upper lip's cupid's bow and very slightly lopsided dimples!

Anonymous said...

Zsuzsa - I bet that isn't true! I can't believe you have nothing sexy/beautiful to brag about! If your boyfriend can't see it, that's his problem but if you can't, FIND it. Tell yourself you're sexy, walk like you are, make yourself believe it - it comes from within.

Collarbones. Arms. Freckles on my shoulders. Let's just say I'm less pleased the farther down my body you go.
Feet are the worst.

I don't have an answer. I am not happy with my post baby body at all. Before I had my son I never struggled with weight. I also was not healthy. I was a size 2 at 5'8 who barely ate and smoked. Once I got pregnant I ate like had never before. For once I had a real appetite. I quit smoking immediately and have not gone back since (over 3 years now) I also put on so much weight and once I had my son I never worked out so I was left over with quite the stretched out belly. Im trying to find the time to hit the gym but quite honestly I've never been one to go to the gym. Even 3 years later I'm trying to be comfortable in my skin. I am so so thankful for my body and the miracle it created. I do find that I have had to adjust my style to fit my new body type but it is not easy on a budget since leaving my job to be a full time mom. This post makes me realize I need to imbrace me and what I do have. Thank you.

I'm a swedish guy who accidently stumbled upon this post, and I just wanted to tell you how happy it made me feel! To me there's nothing more attractive than a woman who can acknowledge her beauty! Thank you and lots of love to you all!

Is it weird to say my hands?? Haha I have these crazy long fingers which are great for playing the piano. I finally got rid of my nail biting habit about a year ago and my hands are just nice and slender and I think they look really pretty when I'm wearing a delicate ring or two. It's also really attractive to me when guys have nice, soft hands with clean, nicely trimmed nails.
I also have really started to like my freckles recently. It's funny though because I always hated them as a little kid!
I agree with everyone on the collar bone thing!

Ah Joanna! Prior to this post I didn't used to like ANY of my body but you got me thinking!

I like my collar bone, I have a scattering of freckles accross my nose, my boss at work told me I have glamorous hair (fave boss!)and I do like my eyes. I'm the only one in my family with dark hair and eyes :-)

THANK YOU! You've made me realise that despite my imperfections there are still a ton of things to like!

As I've gotten into my 30s, my body has changed and softened a bit, but I'm ok with it. I love that I'm more soft curves than just a bony "lizard rear" (as my grandpa used to call me).

And like Melissa Blake mentioned, I too have many scars that I used to be so embarrassed of, but now embrace as a testament of my strength. Isn't the perspective that comes with age refreshing?

I love to hear all these women talk about what they love, rather than the usual self-bashing you hear these days. Thanks for starting this positive discussion Joanna!

I love my eyes - I have heterochromia, which means that they are two different colors. Yes, just like David Bowie!

My waist. I've always thought I've had a pretty big badonkadonk for a pale girl, but my boyfriend likes to remind me that it looks that way because of my waist.

this is a one of a kind post :)

I love my lips,my tinny waist and the collar/hip bones . However, my boyfriend has a crush on other parts, such as my boobies and my butt.

I am most frequently complimented on my long eyelashes, but personally, I love my ankles.

I never would have thought of ankles to begin with but a friend of mine told me they were 'dainty' years ago and I started to love them. I wear cigarette pants cropped above my ankles with heels almost every day now!

I can't imagine anyone else notices!!

My legs and my breasts! I used to feel self-conscious because my stomach is more puffy than I'd like and my butt is more flat than round, but I am tall with long legs and have perfectly-shaped breasts. I finally realized that guys notice those and forget about the others.

Anonymous said...

I love to see all the positive things everyone is posting… it is so great to focus on the positive rather than the negative! I love my stomach – it has always been flat, but now that I work on it, I’m getting a bit of a six pack :) and I have pretty awesome arms, too, nice and sculpted, but not bulky.

I don't know why, but I've always liked my body. I feel lucky in that way. I like that it's well-proportioned and elegant. Now, in my 40s, my boobs are not as, um..upright as they were, but I find the changes beautiful. Call me crazy, but I even like my wrinkles and the few greys that are coming in at the temples! :) It's such a shame to waste time on self-criticism!

My husband loves my butt, hands and feet, while I like my shoulders and collarbones.
I've never really been on the body criticizing train, because everything's rather proportioned and not too big or too small. I'm definitely lucky. Kinda excited for changes if/when they do come. ;)

Katie said...

I've always liked my slender hands and legs and I think it's fun to lay on my back and feel my sharp hipbones. I'm proud of my teeth: years of braces and regular brushing and flossing pays off! I've never thought much about my butt, but my boyfriend likes it, which is nice to know! ;)

i know i'm a bit late, but thank you for giving us a space to celebrate our bodies like this.

i've recently gained some weight, so i'm feeling kind of blah lately, but i still do have much to be thankful for. i like all of the different moles on my body and the curves of my sides and my breasts as well. my legs are strong too and nice actually. my fiance makes me feel sexy even when i'm feeling frumpy, so i thank god that i have a man like that.

This made me laugh!

My showpiece would be my mouth. I have pretty good teeth and lips.

I would say my butt! My hubby loves it too...I'm pretty flat in the upper region as well, but at least I have one ASSet. :)

Thanks for this post Joanna.
I like many women here are so use to focusing on the negative, on what we don't or wish we had.

I realized that I do like more about myself then I've realized. I love my shape, CURVES. Not insanely huge ones, but just perfect for me! My hips are my absolute favorite. My bottom use to be until I lost a lot of weight..then it headed south lol.

I've always been complimented on my butt, so I definitely appreciate that. =) And I have amazing skin, thanks to my mom's genes. I really love the way my body looks from the back! I think a back view is so sexy, and I really want a dress with a super low cut back so I can show off my apparently flawless back!

Love this question! My breasts, waist and how below my waist curves down to my hips . Yay.....lol...it's awesome to think something positive about our amazing bodies.
Thanks for getting me to think positive :)!

Being sexy is all about having a healthy well-being inside and out. Surgeries, diet and exercise can only do so much; everything still depends on how you manage yourself. Well, boobs and curves are my sexiest body parts.
