This BAGGU backpack looks genius for traveling. It folds up into its own tiny pocket. So, you can use it for picnics, beaches or exploring; and when you buy too many souvenirs, gifts, clothes and snacks on your trip--poof!--you have an extra bag to carry everything home on the plane. (You always need an extra bag, don't you find?) I just ordered a neon one for future trips. What are your travel essentials? Red lipstick? Wool socks? A flashlight?
P.S. My #1 beauty product on vacation, five shoes for traveling, and 10 trips for traveling with a baby.

Nifty!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, always want a smaller bag on trips but never want to start the trip with a backpack on...
ReplyDeletethat's awesome!
ReplyDeletei love this bag! i need one. my number one travel item is honestly chapstick. if i don't have time for make up at least my lips get a little gloss

Genius! Our last two trips we flew with RyanAir, which means only ONE carry on (under penalty of death, it would seem!), and no checked baggage because it's so expensive. Would have loved this so I could have a bag to use while I was travelling. Smart!
ReplyDeleteRosebud Salve-works as chapstick/lotion/hair smoother, blister proofer! Also as mall notebook and pen. It comes in handy more than you would expect!
ReplyDeleteLove the colourful choices!
ReplyDeleteEvery trip, my must have is a good book. <3 On my last long trip, my fiance had me read it aloud to him and enjoyed the experience so much, he insisted I bring another on our next trip! It passes the time well. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat bag! Would be so handy, especially with a little one.
ReplyDeleteMy travel essential is hand sanitizer, haha. Not cool or glamorous at all, but I enjoy travel so much more when I'm not worrying about germs :)
Good idea! I might have to get one of these for my travels coming up!
ReplyDeleteSet of colored pencils, a harmonica, and single packets of tea in my wallet!
ReplyDeleteMy travel essential? My eyeglass prescription - I would die if I lost or broke my glasses on a trip!
ReplyDeletethe trip I took last summer had exactly the same staples.
ReplyDeletethe Baggu backpack is the perfect size for camera, sketchbook, extra sweater. but not so big that your exhausted from lugging around everything you own all day.
and the cucumber wipes, essential.
Bag like that work great. I have to Longchamp bags that fold up that way and are great for travel.
ReplyDeleteI really like all of the bags they carry. Such cute patters and even some Neon!
ReplyDeleteThe color here is fabulous for the BAGGU!
ReplyDeleteI just did a post on travel essentials! All this talk is making me wish I had a big trip planned soon. Comfy shoes and bandaids are a must. A camera with an empty memory card, as well.
ReplyDeleteOh and they have the most fun patterns! So cute!
ReplyDeletei love that backpack. i always carry chapstick with me when i travel. every time i go anywhere new...my lips shrivel up like raisins.
ReplyDeleteyes on any antibacterial towelette! and for those who wear contacts, an extra set!
ReplyDeleteToms shoes are my absolute travel essential. They are so versatile and chic, plus for every pair you buy 1 is donated to children in Africa. Good style meets a good cause. :)
ReplyDeletein case you haven't seen it yet, this list of writer Joan Didion's travel essentials is just perfect, and was "taped inside my closet door in Hollywood during those years when I was reporting more or less steadily"

Slippers! Nothing makes me feel more comfortable when I'm away from home than retreating to the hotel room and getting into my fuzzy slippers. I always make room in my suitcase for them.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I never used to use backpacks (a throwback from when only the 'geeks' at my school wore them) but since having a baby I've been totally converted! So useful and can be so chic! This one is genius.
ReplyDeleteI would totally use this! Any bag that folds up is handy. I have a couple of grocery bags that fold up into themselves so you can keep them in your purse. I always get compliments on them at the grocery store!
ReplyDeleteSince I pretty much wear heels, flats or sandals when vacationing, a nice pair of tennis shoes, like my Nike Airs are an essential packing item when traveling. I also can't live without my eye lash curler and at leaset a lip gloss or two!
ReplyDeleteLove that. I have multiple BAGGUs that I keep in my purse so I don't have to use plastic bags but I haven't seen this. I may have to get one.
ReplyDeletecasey, that is SO cute. and Christi, hand sanitizer is a good one! :)
ReplyDeleteYES, wool socks are a definite essential! I've been on such a sock kick lately, it's been wonderful.
ReplyDeleteali, joan didion's list is awesome, and i love the idea of slippers (and bourbon!)
ReplyDeletehaha, jenny, i AGREE! having a baby makes you love backpacks again :)
ReplyDeleteNo, never heard of these. Good to know though. Looks extremely convenient.

My Longchamp 'le pliage' is the perfect travel bag. It folds up and fits in my backpack and it is really light when it is empty. It's also waterproof! I just got back from honeymooning in Kauai, and I was amazed that it had held up so well in the rain. Plus it makes me look French. :)
ReplyDeleteSo amazing! Such a brilliant idea, so practical but so cute! I love the elephant print one!

I've been carrying one of these since I bought it last spring. Just this Wednesday, I used it as a spare bag to carry groceries when flying home from New Orleans.
ReplyDeleteTravel essentials? Just two : http://voyage-on.blogspot.com/2011/12/airplane-musts.html
ReplyDeletetravel essentials:
ReplyDelete1. Nars red lipstick "Red Lizard"
2. Black Vans-great to walk around a city or even for nature hikes. Bonus: they slip on/off for airport security!
3. Fun necklace to dress up an outfit from day to evening.
and bon voyage! :)
My travel essential is my camera! I hate the feeling of 'wish I had it!' I also always bring along wet wipes for a baby bird shower and carry my make-up bag with me in case of lost luggage! (I'm not a light packer :)
ReplyDeleteI have one of these in yellow and it's the best bag ever. Seriously.
ReplyDeletethis backpack is great and so practical! I love anything that can be condensed! I travel a lot to Australia which is a brutal flight from Chicago-my travel essentials are hand sanitizer, my french sole ballet flats, a cardi (that can be condensed) to layer on the plane, l'occitane shea butter hand cream, a great lip balm and face moisturizer, face cleansing wipes, eye drops and Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat

I have one! In red! Took it with me to Europe this past summer and it was absolutely perfect.
ReplyDeleteooh, i like it. what a good idea. i'd say my travel essential is a good notebook to write down my thoughts and experiences that day in. i lived in france this summer and kept a travel journal and i love looking back on it now, reading my day to day life at that moment in time.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so useful! I have a bag from envirosax that I love for grocery shopping, but a backpack would be great for travel.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this!
ReplyDeleteI travel often and anytime I go out of country I always have my little leather travel purse that I got in San Diego. Similiar to these...http://www.bayareabags.com/bags/leather-travel-purse.html
ReplyDeleteYou can fit your passport, money, credit cards, phone and a few more thing of choice. It can be cinched up and kept close to your body in airports and on busy streets. I've never worried about my important travel items because of this nifty little purse! Happy Travels everyone!

ReplyDeleteI have to pack my bags with packing cubes. Makes packing and unpacking a breeze. http://dreamtravelmagazine.com/dream-travel-tips-pack-your-luggage-with-travel-packing-cubes-and-folders/
ReplyDeleteThe travel backpack is great! I love the blue color and it's a change from the typical small travel backpacks that I've seen. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletelove the blue!!
ReplyDeleteThis travel bag is really wonderful and hope carrying it will be easy. Have you travelled to Luray, Virginia? I have heard it’s the awesome place on the earth.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bag and so versatile. My fave items to bring when traveling are SPF, Nars bronzer and my UD eye palette.
ReplyDeleteFree porn videos sextubeporn watch !
ReplyDeleteThere is a part of me that still wants to go out and grab a backpack and unplug – not take a cellphone or even a camera and just get out there and experience the world and travel. I have yet to do that, but someday I hope.

I think I´m going to use it for exploring, because I will do a voyage around Europe. It´s easy to carry on and I guess isn´t heavy at all. By the way, you should go through Travel Design because they are absolutely good advisors in this field. I am sura that you will enjoy that reading time. Indeed. Thanks for this post it was really nice.
