I love that red phone booth case!! I'll look into that once my Kate Spade case finally cracks in half. A word of advice, Kate Spade cases crack more than any other case I've ever had.
I was thinking about a Society6 case as well, then Anna at Door sixteen wrote that the quality is really lousy.... http://www.doorsixteen.com/2012/01/25/haircutsramblingdrifting-attention-span/
oh i love my samsung nexus but am 100% envious of all the cool iPhone cases! any suggestions for all us non-iphone users? p.s. fabulous blowout yesterday! you look awesome!
Love the Pit Bull! I haven't researched it yet, but it would be really great to find a company that lets you send in your own picture to put on a good quality case.
I got my boyfriend an iphone case from here last Christmas and he loves it. You can choose one of your own pictures and the quality is great. His choice: a pair of cross country ski tracks with the mountains in the background. http://www.getuncommon.com/
Love all of these, but I highly recommend you get a speck case instead. Their CandyShell cases, with hard shells and soft-centers, help ensure you don't break your phone when dropped. I've dropped my iPhone many times on lots of different surfaces and it's still in perfect condition!
So cute! I love the "adventure" one, though I would probably go with one of the graphic ones. Sadly, I think I am one of the few people left on this earth without an iphone. Sigh...
Very cute, but as another mom I recommend having a little more rubber padding. Even if you try to keep your babe away, there's always going to be an instance when they chuck it across the room.
I love that website, I got my husband a framed Batman print from there for Christmas, he loved it! Ferris Bueller's Day Off is my all time favorite movie so if I had an iPhone, I would definitely get that one.
Ah man, I recently joined the iPhone community too and just bought a Society6 case yesterday (I was swayed by the multi-colored Aztec cover). But now that I read Annna's review, I'm having second thoughts... Hopefully the quality is okay!
Otherwise, I will try this one: http://www.getuncommon.com/collections/851/
My daughter (13) has a clear case...BUT.. we bought cardstock that matches her outfits...so most everyday she switches out the cardstock (that was cut to fit) to match her outfit! So cute...me I just have a black and white and gray plaid one...so momish!
I do love Society 6. They have such an awesome selection. But I wouldn't want you to make your decision without having all of the info. So let me show you this: Pencil Shavings which is an etsy shop and also where I got my iPhone case. So many fun, colorful options with customizable choices.
Those are beautiful but I would highly recommend the Otterbox Defender. They are drop proof and kid proof because they have 2 cases in one plus a built in screen protector. I've had 4 iPhones since they first came out and had many cases and I can really say that this case is the best. You can get them on Amazon for less than what you can on the Otterbox site too.
Those are darling! If you're looking for a graphic case you could also check out Casetagram , where you design your own case out of a mosaic of your own Instagram photos (how adorable would dozens of cute Toby photos be on the back of your phone?!). If you find yourself concerned at all about the phone's safety (if a curious or bored toddler sometimes takes control of the phone, say) I highly recommend Otterbox cases. The cases have both soft rubber and a hard shell which is essential if the phone takes a dive onto a hard surface. I'm excited for you to discover all of these new apps and accessories, I love my iPhone!
The quality of these cases are terrible. I had one (it was so cute too and I was so sad to see it break. But it literally took one drop from not very high at all). I've since changed to tech candy and have had NO problems (even though I dropped my phone from a balcony...on complete accident, you know ;p). Tech Candy is now at Nordstroms too.
These are so fun - I especially love the Old Fashion cocktail one! This makes me want to have a different case for each day - there are so many great options now. Another great place to check out is Tech Candy Design - I love my case from them. Much love, B
I've ordered from Society6- I was so excited to dress my iPhone in a pretty gold case but the quality is just so awful that I just went back to my Incipio one. It feels like cheap plastic that'll break easily and the case doesn't form around the phone to protect the front screen. The art and design of the cases are really pretty, but if you want a solid case that'll protect your phone, Society6 won't do it.
I'm not sure about the quality of Kate Spade cases but my current case from Jcrew is doing a pretty good job.
I had my finger on the buy button...fun to switch out the Kate Spade one I have from time to time, but then I read what Ida posted. Good lookin out! That would have made me so mad lol...$35 is a lot for a case if it scratches off and is flimsy.
Ah! You have a toddler who, I imagine, will find your phone endlessly fascinating. I got this *crazy* one in orange to prevent potential disasters when my phone gets in (and then out of) my daughter's hands: http://bit.ly/xPQJwO
i love case mate's iphone cases with built in credit card slots! perfect for slipping your transit pass in, your ID card, or an extra bank card. because let's face it, i don't always carry my wallet, but i always carry my phone.
I got a new iPhone case as well (from amazon.com) and I really recommend it. It's a silicone case shaped like a cassette and I think it kinda looks cool --a little nerdy, but cool :) My husband has the gameboy version of it!
Also, here's my blog post about the cassette case: http://becauseilackcreativity.tumblr.com/post/15245372256/heres-my-new-iphone-case-i-love-it-and-it-was
The amazon.com link is here is anyone is interested: http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Cassette-Silicone-Case-Iphone/dp/B004JRYBL4/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1325609215&sr=8-8

But what i'd really like is an iphone case like that with the picture of an iphone front side printed on it... just to mess up with people's perception when i talk or play on it ("is she nuts, she is using the back side... loonie...")
I love the colorful scalloped pattern! Kate Spade usually has some fun cases too. I got one from them last year that looks like multi-colored confetti on the back of my phone :)
The one on top is great! For a friend birthday I made a embroidery version i-phone cover really nice to make. See http://juriannematter.blogspot.com/2012/01/one-of-kind-iphone-case.html Great blog! Greetings, Bjør
thanks for all these tips!!!! SO helpful -- yes, these are gorgeous, but i might need something more padded and Toby-proof:) and i love that Target lets your make your own!
I second the Tech Candy recommendation above. My first case was a flat one like the one's you have pictured and it scratched almost instantly. Who doesn't lay their phone down on the back? I have had my Tech Candy Barcelona case for over a year and it still looks and works beautifully. My undying Tech Candy love has since resulted in four more people in my office getting the. Thankfully, the different colored silicone inner liners keeps us from grabbing the wrong phone!
Oh, love these! I just got this one in gold: http://www.case-mate.com/iPhone-4-Cases/Case-Mate-iPhone-4-4S-Glam-Cases.asp (cheaper on Amazon) -- reminds me of those gold nail stickers you posted about awhile back! It was either that or a yellow chevron one. :)
i checked out that post from doorsixteen because i just noticed some wear on my case, the biggest bit being where the sticker peeled away! i thought this might have been because i dropped my phone before i had a case on it, on cement oy vey!, and there's damage to the glass there. i've had the case for two months, and i'm probably a bit rough on it. anyway all i wanted to say is i don't regret my purchase, the design makes me smile, but i'll definitely check out what uncommon has to offer before my next purchase. but i wonder if society 6 does some sort of trade in.
I LOVE the red phone booth and the glass...okay, and the skinny man too!! Have you seen the ones by Molly Peach (http://society6.com/mollypeach/cases)? I LOVE her Rain Bokeh (living in PDX) and Candy Canes (for Christmas).
love the peacock!! DVF and Marc by Marc Jacobs has some really cute one as well...I have a polka dot one by Marc by Marc Jacobs (I am obsessed with polka dots at the moment)! They are all so fun!
"thanks a lot for introducing this site to me!" (she said sarcastically) now i wont be able to get any work done until i have picked out the perfect case for my phone.
You should check out the Erin Condren iphone cases. Super pricey, but they can put a photo on the back. I got one for Christmas with our family photo on it and I LOVE it. It is really sturdy too, and I have dropped my Iphone 2 times since having the case and no dents on the case or cracks in the Iphone
Thank you thank you for finding these... I have a case that I really am not into-- so excited to get a new one that actually makes me smile (since I've got the stupid phone attached to me constantly!!
Have you seen the cute patterned monogramed cases from Marley Lilly? I just got mine and love it! http://www.marleylilly.com/Cell-Phone-and-Device-Cases_c_74.html
I have a Society 6 case which I love but the quality isn't top notch - I've heard negative reports since buying mine. Uncommon has awesome ones for the same price - better quality.
Swooning over, oh I don't know, four of those iphone cases! I have a Droid Pro and don't regret my decision to go with motorola but I do wish they made neater cases for droids. :)
crap I just ordered one off Amazon a few days ago, but none of them were this cool!! Shoot, well I'm sure out of my 3 kids and myself, one of us will break my newest one by dropping it multiple times which will give me an excuse to get one of these;) dontcha just looove the iphone-it rocks! i'm a mommy with a makeup problem...http://www.jennysuemakeup.com
If you can raise some love for function over form (in a very lovely form, actually) the voi cases are fabulous! Particularly since you're a mom with a hands-full life.
They have a slim wrist-strap style lanyard so that you CAN NEVER DROP YOUR PHONE. I nearly drop my phone about a hundred times a day, on subways, crossing bridges, dashing across the street, so this is pretty much the best-designed product possibly ever in my book.
Ha I can't believe you posted this. I just found this company a little while ago and bought the DG Aztec case like two days ago. PS I like the one you picked! Super cute.
I have the "Scales" one on top and I love it! While they are a bit spendy at $35 and they're just made of thin plastic, they are super cute and do their job to protect your iPhone from scratches and small drops. Enjoy!
My boyfriend and I both have cases made out of wood. They're handmade in holland and mine has my initials engaged on the back. You can find them at Miniot.com.
I have a society 6 case and it started peeling after only a couple of months... i highly recommend getuncommon.com they have a bunch of cool ones you can or upload your own image...AND they "laser tattoo" the image so there is no peeling, chiping etc.etc. my last case was from there and lasted 2 years!!! it's still good actually just upgraded mu iphone so it doesnt fit anymore...think ill go back to uncommon..
Get an otter box. They are kid proof!! Not as cool looking (that phone booth one is really cool), but they do come in a bunch of colors. I've got an otter box commuter cover (on the recommendation of my babysitter, who has her phone around young kids every day) and it has survived my two, very rough, young kids!
I spent $50 on a Kate Spade case at the Apple store and it cracked in a month from normal wear and tear. KS said I would have to pay to ship it to them in US, and there was no guarantee of a refund, but I’m in Canada so I just chucked it because that was cheaper.
These are truly gorg, but I'd worry that my iphone would crack if I dropped it. My incipio is the perfect protective case. It may not be as lovely and interesting to look at as these babies, but it gets the job done! A functioning phone is more important to me than a pretty case anyway!
love the peacock to the horizontal designed one. covers can be so expensive. snagged a feline marc jacobs one from net-a-porter on sale right after christmas ! :)
I am loving these! Very cute. I am in need of a new Iphone case. Have you heard of casetagram.com? If you use Instagram, you can use your photos to make an Iphone case. It's actually pretty neat.
these are awesome! I have a leopard print one that I'm obsessed with but iPhones , like people, deserve more than just one great outfit so maybe I'll pick up another one of these. B&H also has a great selection...I kind of love this one: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/785509-REG/Drop_it_Modern_SNAPCASE_WOODGRAIN_Snap_iPhone_4_Case.html/BI/5478/KBID/6289
i have the aztec print one (second to last) and get so many compliments (which is funny, but i'll take 'em). my sister gave it to me for christmas after seeing it on my pinterest board. i really like the steve zissou one as well, though i think i'd rather have the print and someday hang it in a nursery or playroom.
Love the bottom one! Have you checked out getuncommon.com? They let you customize your own case either from their selection of designs or one of your own photos. I have two cases from them and they're impressive.
These are great! The rocks glass would be a great gift for that guy who's hard to buy for.
I just happened to see these lovely customizable ones via Atlantic-Pacific.blogspot.com: http://www.plumstreetprints.com/ Maybe you'll find something there as well.
Jo, you missed one! Check out BookBook. It's basically a mini leather book that houses your ID, a couple of credit cards and the phone. I've gotten so many compliments on it. :) It does scratch up kind of easily but it adds to the charm.
I love my iphone, but I especially love the case. I bought a custom photo case from case-mate.com and uploaded my own photo. It is sentimental because the feather in the photo was given to me at the funeral of my aunt who passed away at 50 years old. The instructions with the feather were to leave the feather in a special place, and the photo was taken on Table Mountain in CA. It is a little way to honor my aunt and her love of design in a stylish way. http://flic.kr/p/bpQNkX

I hate to be a Debbie Downer but I saw your post, thought these were so cute, and purchased an iPhone case. I was SHOCKED at how poor the quality was...I have always been pretty happy with most of my online purchases but I bought a Society 6 case and felt so cheated. I spent nearly $45 for a cheap piece of plastic that would never in a million years protect my phone. The graphic was not as clear as it appears on their site. Their margins must be killer. I hate to post negative things but I feel that people should know. :(

These are amazing! That English telephone "box" is really cool.
The top one looks like a sunset, Joanna. My next phone will be an i-phone.

Love these! Can't decide which is my favorite - the peacock or the Life Aquatic one...decisions, decisions

These cases designed by Jessica Swift are adorable too. Kind of modern but hippie. http://www.case-mate.com/SearchResults.aspx?tSearch=jessica+swift
I got the "Samantha" :) Happy shopping!
Oh, you've already ordered one ... in case you need a backup: the ones that look like old tapes are incredible, e.g. this one

so cute! i love the first and last ones the best-- i don't think i could choose between them!

love this want the peacock one :)
amazing blog by the way :) working on mine still!

wow! I am so deep into that jungle of a website right now. Amazing iphone cases! thanks again for a great tip joanna : )
Go with Steve Zissou!
I just ordered a new iPhone case too. Mine is from gelaskins, which connects independent artists and beautiful photography.
I love the first one but I can't find it on Society 6's website! Does anyone know the name for that design? Thanks for these, they're beautiful.
the phone booth one is to die for!

"thanks a lot for introducing this site to me!" (she said sarcastically) now i wont be able to get any work done until i have picked out the perfect case for my phone.

joanna, i'm having a giveaway today - please , enter :) design sponge is a great one :)
XO thank you for your blog!
if i had an iphone i would get one of these cases by my lovely friend katie daisy
Or you can make your own on GelaSkins.
http://www.erincondren.com/store/index.php?cPath=1080
You should check out the Erin Condren iphone cases. Super pricey, but they can put a photo on the back. I got one for Christmas with our family photo on it and I LOVE it. It is really sturdy too, and I have dropped my Iphone 2 times since having the case and no dents on the case or cracks in the Iphone
Thank you thank you for finding these... I have a case that I really am not into-- so excited to get a new one that actually makes me smile (since I've got the stupid phone attached to me constantly!!

This isn't as cute, but it's absolutely necessary for me in my life. Extra battery/case. It saves my life everyday.
My husband has the Steve Zissou case. I'm probably going to steal it from him soon :)
my favourite is the one that looks like an old casette!
I love the first one and the peacock. I don't have an I-phone but this could really convince e to get one!
Have you seen the cute patterned monogramed cases from Marley Lilly? I just got mine and love it! http://www.marleylilly.com/Cell-Phone-and-Device-Cases_c_74.html
Oh yes, like I need a trillion more reasons to drool over iPhones. Ugh, they are all drool worthy too!
My sister makes these:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/HartsAndStars?ref=pr_shop_more
Love these! Is there a Cup of Jo code you can share for a discount? I am planning to order a couple today!
I personally love the phone booth :)
Loving these! x
i have the top one. i get so many compliments on it. and it has saved the day a few times when i've dropped it
Grove bamboo cases - customizable! Recyclable! Sustainable!
www.grovemade.com
I have a Society 6 case which I love but the quality isn't top notch - I've heard negative reports since buying mine. Uncommon has awesome ones for the same price - better quality.
Swooning over, oh I don't know, four of those iphone cases! I have a Droid Pro and don't regret my decision to go with motorola but I do wish they made neater cases for droids. :)
the first one and the triangle pattern ones are lovely! which are you going to get? x
crap I just ordered one off Amazon a few days ago, but none of them were this cool!! Shoot, well I'm sure out of my 3 kids and myself, one of us will break my newest one by dropping it multiple times which will give me an excuse to get one of these;) dontcha just looove the iphone-it rocks!
i'm a mommy with a makeup problem...http://www.jennysuemakeup.com
super cute but quality isnt the best!
Those are cute -- loving the English phone booth one!
I really love the red telephone cabin! Nice to meet you Jo!
I love these! I've been ogling the ones from Out of Print lately, all featuring old book cover designs. Very literary.
i love the british phone booth one! so clever!
If you can raise some love for function over form (in a very lovely form, actually) the voi cases are fabulous! Particularly since you're a mom with a hands-full life.
They have a slim wrist-strap style lanyard so that you CAN NEVER DROP YOUR PHONE. I nearly drop my phone about a hundred times a day, on subways, crossing bridges, dashing across the street, so this is pretty much the best-designed product possibly ever in my book.
no wonder my friend sent me a link to society to help her pick out a cover!
www.absurdlypeculiar.blogspot.com
These are ridiculously awesome! The only problem is, I can't decide. Great post!
Ha I can't believe you posted this. I just found this company a little while ago and bought the DG Aztec case like two days ago.
PS I like the one you picked! Super cute.
sweet! I remember seeing one with a large Coca cola can print, so it looked like the user was holding a coke can.
I have the "Scales" one on top and I love it! While they are a bit spendy at $35 and they're just made of thin plastic, they are super cute and do their job to protect your iPhone from scratches and small drops. Enjoy!
thank you for sharing. i just ordered two!
My cousin has one that looks like an old cassette tape cover. I think it's brilliant!
Do you remember what category the whiskey glass cover was in? My bf would LOVE it!
Any recommendations or websites for Droid X2 phones? I would love an iPhone, but my work got me a Droid X2.
anything but white. i bought a fun white one that you can cross stitch on and it is all grungy already
I have the geometric one, and it's cute (I get a lot of complements on it!), but the quality is not great :(
Get an otter box.
Donna
Now I need an ipad case that doesnt cost more than the device itself!
I love the first one! I'm so going to look that up to buy! Thanks for highlighting it otherwise I may never have discovered it!
Megan @ Storybook Love Affair
Wow, great designs. Thank you for sharing. The one that really stands out for me is the phone booth design. Truly unique and very creative.
I got the second to last one and I love it!
Joanna - you should check out what Anna has to say about her case on Door 16

spend the time, it is worth it.
love.love.love! So much better than crystals...
These are truly gorg, but I'd worry that my iphone would crack if I dropped it. My incipio is the perfect protective case. It may not be as lovely and interesting to look at as these babies, but it gets the job done! A functioning phone is more important to me than a pretty case anyway!
I ordered this one for my laptop for Christmas! http://beaunz.blogspot.com/2011/12/dont-forget-about-your-laptop-this.html
Have you seen these, Jo? Even cooler (I think) http://beaunz.blogspot.com/2012/01/you-had-me-at-stitches.html
The English in me loves that red telephone box case.
http://bebesuisse.blogspot.com/
love the peacock to the horizontal designed one. covers can be so expensive. snagged a feline marc jacobs one from net-a-porter on sale right after christmas ! :)
I LOOOOOOVE these, Jo! Especially the last two.
How neat! The red phone booth is definitely my favorite!
I too love the red phone booth case. One of the things I love about iPhones is the cases. You can really express yourself with a good case.
Whoa, I really like those! I wish I had an extra $35 right now and I'd get one!
i have the aztec print one (second to last) and get so many compliments (which is funny, but i'll take 'em). my sister gave it to me for christmas after seeing it on my pinterest board. i really like the steve zissou one as well, though i think i'd rather have the print and someday hang it in a nursery or playroom.
Love the bottom one! Have you checked out getuncommon.com? They let you customize your own case either from their selection of designs or one of your own photos. I have two cases from them and they're impressive.
LOVE the pit bull one!!! I have a beagle-pit bull mix and she is the sweetest dog I've ever met : ) I like the peacock one, two!
thanks for sharing these! I just got an iPhone the other day and have been searching for a worthy case :-)
These are great! The rocks glass would be a great gift for that guy who's hard to buy for.
I just happened to see these lovely customizable ones via Atlantic-Pacific.blogspot.com: http://www.plumstreetprints.com/
Maybe you'll find something there as well.
Thanks for making this post! I have an iPhone and my case is getting pretty beat up.
Jailbreak iPhone 4S
I was paranoid and went with an Otterbox. No complaints so far! But I dream of a Grove bamboo case...
love #1, 6, 7, and 8!
Cbjork is one of my favorite artists and has iPhone cases too!
http://www.zazzle.co.uk/cbjork_avatar_floral_design_speckcase-176017047238332339
I cant find the first one on society6, there are so many to choose from! Can someone please help?
Hi
I Checked their page and; oh my god! They have amazng cases. I'll soon get new Iphone through work and I will SO buy a case from here.
oh my! So many pretty ones!!!!!
My BFF would go NUTS for that Save Ferris case! EEEE!! OOhhh, I'm thinking future birthday gift.
Mega love for you and Sociey 6
Wonderful blog & good post. Its really helpful for me, awaiting for more new post. Keep Blogging!

Keen Women's Snowmass High Waterproof Winter Boot
how do you buy these! i love the galaxy print but cant seem to figure out how to purchase it :/
I hate to be a Debbie Downer but I saw your post, thought these were so cute, and purchased an iPhone case. :(
