Have a relaxing weekend.
What are you up to this weekend? Alex and I are going to watch this short movie, just for fun. Also, our Christmas lights are still up around our apartment, and I think we're going to keep them up. Is that bad luck? Anyway, hope you have a wonderful weekend (stay warm!), and here are a fun great posts from around the web...

I LOVED the movie Beginners. So many good things about it - the acting and plot were wonderful and touching. And the dog in it is adorably hilarious. :)

The "Sh*t DC Says" was SO spot on. If you have spent any time here, you should check it out! Did you think the New York one was accurate?
loved, loved, loved beginners...are we married yet?
..i do have a gushing girl crush on MIRANDA JULY, so that may have something to do with my MILLS affection ;)
I suggested getting the "bedroom" art and putting in our kitchen. No one would eat our food again!
The cat audition picture is priceless.. I pinned this on Pinterest a few months ago and could not stop giggling. Etta will forever be in our hearts. Have a great weekend!

Oh, poor Etta. I loved her so much! When I heard the news on TV this morning, I started to get choked up. Could be that I'm 5 days past my due date and my hormones are totally raging!
Joanna, I love your Friday posts, I wait with bated breath for them every week! Thank you for this especially lovely one!

Ohhhh. Loved Beginners! I want to watch it each and every day. If only there were a spare two hours for it!
We're all having a big ol' wake for Etta on Twitter. Everyone join in.
PS: It's not bad luck to keep up the lights.
Oh, to be a fly on the wall of a house on the market with that bedroom art hanging in it...in the kitchen. I think I watch too much HGTV.

The get-drunk-faster glasses made me laugh - "made in Swaziland (yes, it's a real place)." Well, yes it is because my partner is from there and i'm sure i've been to the glass factory where these are produced!

I thought I would pass along this photo, as you were the first person who popped into my head after I saw it. A woman in Italy took her seven week old daughter to work at the European Parliament:

So many good links - thanks Joanna!
I used to hang Christmas light us in all my apts - the light is so much gentler and cheery.
Also, LOVED Beginners - such a sweet and touching film. I'm so glad it's getting awards recognition.
Also LOVED the cat picture! I used to own a black cat - she was ridiculously smart and pretty sassy. With a little research, I also found some additional photos from this same audition that I thought you might find interesting: http://www.lovelornunicorn.com/2011/09/auditions-for-a-black-cat/
Thanks again! Have a fine weekend!

Well, I've had a boyfriend who used to keep Christmas lights inside and outside his house.
I remember the first time he explained where his house was, he told me I will have my Christmas lights on the balcony switched on, you won't miss it!
He is doing pretty well as far as I know, so that can't really be bad luck!
That "Porn for Pregnant Women" is hilarious! They are right on! SO funny.

Headed into the city for my best friends birthday! It will be my first night away from my 9 month old since she was born! I am so nervous!!!! Hopefully the impending snow storm doesn't mess with my plans!
We have our Christmas lights up too-- my thinking is that the santas and presents and trees are gone, so the lights are no longer Christmas decorations per se...right? I mean, now they are just rainbow quirkiness...and rainbow quirkiness is never a bad thing~*
And I adore Madwell and the other sites-- fantastic linkage!

Lol -- that black cat audition photo is hilarious. ;P
I loved that video about things NY-ers say. So funny!
Hehehe. I didn't even have to click on the link to know that MADEWELL was making you excited for spring. It had the same effect on me on pinterest a few weeks ago!! All that green and navy mixed together so perfectly! And the shoes!!!

We still have our lights up too! I love the glow and don't want to say goodbye yet! I'm recently new to your blog so haven't read all of your posts yet. Is the dog your pet? If so he/she's beautiful!!

Beginners was just a pleasant, poignant, beautiful surprise of a movie. I thought on it for days afterwards!
Vero Moda is Danish!
Love the s*** New Yorkers say! My 3 year old NY grandson says "Is this our stop?" instead of "Are we there yet?" How cute is that, right? (And I'd have little white Christmas lights up all year if my husband would agre to it!)
What great links! That interview was super cute and I can't wait to see more of their work!
