New Year's Eve hair

My very first post on Cup of Jo talked about how I was staying in for New Year's Eve. But! If you're heading out this year, how cute would it be to wear something sparkly? Loving this gift bow, jumbo bobbi, heart headband and star headband. xoxo
P.S. Also! Look at this skirt! It's like a mermaid:)

I live the jumbo bobbi! Might have to look into that.
P.S. How did the holidays come so quickly this year?!
They are all adorable. The hair ornaments are also cute. You just gave me nice ideas.

Oh heavens no to that Christmas bow. Kind of corny. The rest are cute though :)
Love it all!
Oh goodness! I love that that was your first post and that you remembered what it was. Such a fun trip down memory lane! Heck, I cannot even remember what I posted about a week ago.
oh, i love the christmas bow! :)
Oh my gosh, the lip colors are absolutely to die for especially in the 2nd photo! What color is she wearing?
xx
posh pearl, i'll see if i can find out!
Such wonderful hair accessories! You could definitely pull off a simple, black dress and let your hair do the talking (and the sparkling!).
I love the star headband!Pretty.
I'm not usually a hair ornament person, but I kind of like that stars headband--and I think Baguette would, too!
Love these! And someone please tell me how to get that perfectly tousled hair.
Ooooh. I love the messy down-do. And, I will for sure be staying in for NYE. Nothing fun about being 7 months pregnant out at midnight!!
Why go out when you can stay home and have a whole bottle of prosecco to yourself? Just don't forget your lipstick. Even a NYE alone calls for red lipstick.
gift bow is my favorite! and seriously what a nice die-for lip color 2nd one is!
p.s.just had a white wine session with my bf, tried all the tips that you posted yesterday:) it was fun! :D
Ballad of Seasons
That skirt. Yes please.
I love the bright pink lipstick! I love hair accessories but feel silly wearing them and end up pulling them out midway through the party.
oh my gosh that skirt is $2,500?! i think that is the most money i have ever seen for something i actually like! scary.
posh pearl, i asked jen gotch (the designer/co-founder of bando), and she said:" I actually created those colors in Photoshop! The pink is similar to Nars Schiap and Tom Ford has a Wild Ginger red that's close." hope that helps!! xoxo
Love these, and I'm a fan of the cozy NYE as well :)
love love love the first two! i'm more for messy, since i unfortunately look that way by the end of the night! especially if the night involves an outdoor escapade to watch fireworks & cuddling around an open fire!
allie, i know, seriously!!!
Oh I lovvvvvve the stars!!!!!
I love how each images says "I'm a lady, but love a good party" ... just inspired me to wear my ban.do sequin red heart clip I have this NYE!
Ooh, so pretty!! But as has become tradition, my New Year's Eve ends with drunken 1am water slides at a hotel in Wildwood with some of my friends from college, so I don't bother doing anything fancy with my hair that night. ;-)
I'm going for the second look, simple curs so i don't have to worry about my hair when i'm tipsy :p
they are all really pretty but the first one i think it's too messy for new years eve
Thanks Joanna! All the fab colors are always turn out to be custom made. But thanks for the alternative suggestions. I'll need to go have a look! Great post by the way!! The gift bow is just adorable!!
Happy Holidays!
xx
or if you're staying in.
These are great, Joanna! I found a party dress on sale at my local Target. It's one-shouldered, so I plan to wear my hair like this! Now... I just need a party to go to, ha! xo.
i always love the messy look when i see it...but when i try it i look like a cave woman! sigh.

adorable looks... but... why? why? why did you show me that skirt??? Now I want it so bad... beautiful!
Great picks! We are just going to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, which is totally an appropriate occasion to wear a fancy head piece. I've always loved the Giant Dwarf piece, and I love the metallic heart from ban.do!

I love the star head band and her hair. The others are too messy! Looks like they just got out of bed and not in a good way.
I might just have to do an actual gift bow, because I like the festive-ness of the bow but don't want to spend anything on it. Cute roundup, Joanna! I'd love to hear all about your new years eve.
Very darling! I think I'll be staying in for New Year's Eve too (safer, easier, cheaper!) but I love the heart headband. So fun!

Something 2 Write About
I think the star headband is my favourite, but it’s quite pricey. I bet it would be fairly economical as a DIY with supplies from a craft store….hmmmm…
Love the second style!
Love the messy, mussed up look!
Love the second one!
Cheers,
Kate

Love the second look! I'd pair it with this red dress: http://dreamingofpalmtrees.blogspot.com/2011/12/holiday-party-dresses.html
Counting the days...
gonna make the last one myself!
i wonder if you could just put sparkles in your hair? do they make anything like that? that might either look really pretty or like you have something in your hair that shouldn't be there.....
happy holidays joanna

That star headband is lovely!
WOW. I'm ordering that star headband for a New Year's eve wedding. I hope it comes in time. :)

A little staying-in story: I've long been made anxious by New Year's Eve and the pressure to go out and have fun as a total homebody. Then I married my Russian Jewish husband -- lucky for me, it's their stalwart family tradition to cozy in at home with blankets and hot cocoa opening presents and drinking champagne at midnight. Such a great move! =)

I love Ban.do Accessories! A little late for NYE but I'm thinking of getting the second clip now that their entire site is 30% off w/ code HEYGIRRRL through Saturday.
Haha, I love these hair tips for NYE! Specially the big bow w/ Christmas wrapping paper!
