Morse code bracelets

I've always been a huge fan of COATT, the genius Morse Code necklaces spelling words like "mom," "love," and "kiss me." Now the designer just launched a line of bracelets. How subtle and beautiful to wear a little note on your wrist. xo

Hi, Johanna, is this a paid/sponsored post? I notice that Coatt is one of your advertisers, hence the confusion. Thanks in advance for letting us know!

  12. Those are nice. I recently found a jeweller who creates wedding bands with engraved morse codes. Like a meaningful word from the engaged couple - so it´s their secret! Love this idea!

  16. Secret messages! Reminds me of the days in middle school when my friends and I made up a code alphabet... Looking back at it, I realized that it wasn't so hard to decode. We should have gone with some morse code!

  24. kristin, no, not at all. i LOVE Coatt and posted about her necklaces when she first launched her shop (way before she was a sponsor of mine), and of course i wanted to post about her new bracelets , too. she has been one of my advertisers for about six months now, but i don't do sponsored posts with her. this is just a post about her new bracelets that i would have done anyway (and i wouldn't want to NOT post about them just because she's an advertiser). hope that all makes sense!! thanks for asking!

Jonathan Safran Foer let Oscar of "Extremely loud and incredibly close" come up with this idea...I think the brand should credit him.

  30. amalie, interesting! did he think of this, too? i'm sure the designer thought of it as well -- collective unconscious, etc. xoxoxo same way that everyone likes the same baby names at the same time, even if you're not sure exactly why! :)

  31. HiLLjO, they're pretty feminine, but maybe you could wear the one that says "kiss me" and see if he figures it out! :)

  42. The Morse code Designer Bracelets in question come from uncommongoods.com. There are three to choose from, which express the words "beauty," "peace" and "kindness," respectively. Each character is spelled with specially spaced beads to create the famous dits, dots and dashes that comprise Morse code.
