Tonight we're flying to California to visit Alex's family, and my dad and brother are coming, too. Looking back at last year's vacation photos (above), I cannot believe how teeny Toby looks. He was such a baby! This year he's officially a toddler. And who knows, next year maybe he will even be a little boy. He's always had a tendency to grow up too quickly.
I remember feeling so nervous last year about traveling with a baby. We still felt like brand new parents, and we didn't know which end was up. (Remember our walking nap?:) Thankfully over the past year, we've gotten much more confident, and now it feels like we're just taking a regular trip with a mini sidekick.
xoxoxo A weekend post coming right up, and kisses to all of you.

fast fast fast, so fast <3
ReplyDeletesafe flight and happyhappy holidays!
ReplyDeleteIt has been so much fun following Toby's growth on your blog. What a little cutie! Have a great time in California and a wonderful holiday.
ReplyDeleteLove this post Joanna. Specifically Toby's eyebrows because they remind me so much of my Everett's. He got them straight from me, and Toby got his straight from you. Isn't it nice to have a little lookalike running around?
ReplyDeleteAww, he's just so cute and a toddler! Time flies!
ReplyDeleteAwww...he is such a sweet little guy and those photos melt my heart. Have a jolly good time in California. xo
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! This is like when I accidentally select the "last 12 months" option in iphoto - I tear up every time!

Adorable photos. I can say that right now, time is NOT going fast for me. I'm entering my 3rd trimester and I can't wait to meet this little bean growing inside of me. But to think that this time next year I will have a 9 month old? Wow. Seems crazy.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy CA!
Such cute pictures! Have a safe trip and enjoy the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos. Have a fab Cali trip!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how fast they grow. I look at my Jo's photos (my daughter. I also call her "Jo." That's why I am came to your blog at first.) from a year ago, and she was just teeny.
ReplyDeleteYour son is so cute. His cheeks are like apples.

These are lovely pictures. I found your blog when my baby boy was just a couple of months old and it has been great to follow you over the last year or so, picking up tips and having something cheery to read during those difficult early days of motherhood. My wee boy is 15 months old now and he is a wee munchkin, just like adorable Toby. It's a shame you're the other side of the Atlantic, as i'm sure they'd love getting up to mischief together! Have a lovely trip x
ReplyDeletethose cheeks, those eyes, and that soft baby-skin...how fun to see how much he's grown, Toby is just precious!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading your posts about Toby because my son, Townes, is the same age (18 months). Toby is super cute. Congrats to him on the walking!

Oh he is SO cute. I love that first one--such a serious face!
ReplyDeleteI was admiring his little eyebrows when I read all the other comments on his brows--they're a popular feature.
Time really does fly! I look forward to watching him grow.
he is so cute in the third picture
ReplyDeletetoby is such a ham!
ReplyDeletexoxo the egg out west.
My son is a year older than Toby. He will no doubt be a little boy next year at this time! Enjoy LA! That's where we live! It's supposed to be pretty nice this weekend!
ReplyDeleteHave so much fun! We are LA-ers by way of NY (moved a year and a half ago) and my baby is just a few weeks younger than Toby. We are on the east coast for the holidays, but I'm looking forward to reading about your LA. Travel safe. x
ReplyDeleteIndeed. You have such a beautiful family.
ReplyDeletesooo cute!!
ReplyDeleteand your blog too!! :)
The third picture cracks me up. He looks sooooo funny. lol
ReplyDeleteI can't wrap my head around how quickly the year has gone. The dress Lucia wore at Christmas last year looks like it is fit for a doll! She turned 6 months on Christmas Eve and now she will be a whopping 18 months! sigh. Still, it's so amazing to think of how much has happened in the last year with her and with us as parents, no? it's pretty surreal when you start to measure your own life through someone else's...
ReplyDeletehave a great time! and Merry Christmas xoxo
Awww! You're son's eyebrows are the most!
ReplyDeleteTime flys! He is such a cutie! :)
ReplyDeleteHe is so adorable! Such beautiful eyes! My daughter is 19 now in her second year of college. Oh how I wish I could relive those days again! Jenniferxx
