Picture this: You're going to a holiday cocktail party, and your adorable crush will be there. You brush your hair, spritz on perfume, and your cheeks are already rosy. The big question is: What will you wear?Above, a black glitter dress (I LOVE how sexy and elegant it is)...
A flirty one-shouldered pink dress...
A 1920's chiffon dress with a flutter hem...
A purple wrap dress with a sash...
A pink silk dress (I think this one is offbeat yet so gorgeous--what do you think?)Which dress would you wear? Which suits your personality best?

ps. i'd wear the first or last, i'm in love with them both!
ReplyDeleteI'd probably wear the last one as it would accommodate my huge pregnant belly which would actually be pretty cute. Love the color!
ReplyDeleteThe first one for me...Its so beautiful and I simply adore the v-neckline. So snazzy:) Kisses, Joanna
ReplyDeleteAw I would either wear the first one or that purple one! I feel like that wrap dress would be super flattering, would go perfectly with my silver heels, and silver accents! :)
ReplyDeleteI would wear the black glittery dress. I love it!
ReplyDeletenina, that would be SO cute! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the first one, and would totally wear it if my crush is around ;) The last one is interesting -- I can't keep my eyes off it!
ReplyDeleteI would go for the one-shoulder pink dress. The length probably suits my petite frame best, and the color would pop against my skin.
ReplyDeleteThat first one is jaw-dropping!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear 1, 2, or 5. Kinda thought that 3 needed a belt or something... although it does make her bum look good :)
ReplyDelete-Alyssa
Alice & Olivia black glitter for sure. good cut for me and as i approach 40! cut so important!!!
ReplyDeleteThe black one!
ReplyDeleteOh...I'm kinda going for the 1920's chiffon... although I just cut my hair short so possibly something with a detail at the shoulders like the pink one..
ReplyDeleteblack glitter or 1920s chiffon. gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely go for the pink one shoulder. How fun and sassy!
ReplyDeleteahhh! i love the black glitter dress! it's sooooo pretty and super stylish!!
ReplyDeleteit would be so fun for a holiday party!
♥ allister bee blog
Definitely the black glitter one! So gorgeous, classy, and subtly sexy. My husband would LOVE it. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that white outfit. It is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the first!
ReplyDeleteman i'm so in love with the black dress although it's $297....really trying to rationalize it as a dress to wear for years and years to come, right? right?? :)
ReplyDeleteDefinately the first :)
ReplyDeletei'm torn between the first 2...but i think i'll have to go with the 2nd.
ReplyDeleteThe black would be best for my personality but the one-shouldered pink would be best for my hips. :/
ReplyDeleteI love that first one! So so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love the black and pink dresses too. So fun!
ReplyDeleteThat first dress is so chic! I think it would be so fun to wear, even though I've already locked down my crush. :) Xo, Katie
ReplyDeleteThat first one is elegant and lovely! My choice!
ReplyDeletethe black and the blue!!! but the black has something special...
ReplyDeleteThe pink one-shoulder one :)
ReplyDeleteBtw, was I the only one who noticed those gorgeous sandals?? I fell in love!
love the first one...it's adorable
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't wear any of them. Unfortunately, they are only for thin people like all the clothes featured on your blog. They are pretty though. I love the last one.
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt, the last one. Adorbs.
ReplyDeleteI love the black dress you show first, but I think I'd go with the purple wrap dress. Every time I go to a reunion, almost everyone is wearing black. I think wearing a color can make you stand out rather than blend in. And while I think the last dress is really striking, I am not sure that most men I know would find it appealing. (I'm pretty sure my husband would say things like "weird" and "trying too hard.") If this is a theoretical "look good for your crush" dress, then that's got to be a factor in my decision making.
ReplyDeletei like the last dress best :)
ReplyDeleteThe last one! I love the high neckline and that the focus is on the legs (which makes sense because I have nothing to show up top!).
ReplyDeleteI like it with the ankle booties too.
I love the last one!! It's so fun and looks comfortable! Great finds, as always!
ReplyDeletewww.bundtsofsteel.blogspot.com
pink silk dress seems more like my style. it is so elegant and modern!
ReplyDeletexoxo, Betül
i love the first one, very classy and sexy.
ReplyDeleteI am totally in love with the first one.
ReplyDeleteAll adorable. I like the first one. But my question is this. I live in the midwest, which means the weather for any holiday party I'm invited to is always impossibly cold and/or incliment--surely the same in NYC. That being said, do you just suck it up and bare those legs/toes arms/shoulders and say the hell with it? I always struggle with that, and as a result usually wear pants!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the first one!
ReplyDeleteOh so difficult! Maybe the blue one? Or possibly the first pink one
ReplyDeleteI love the second one! Cute for holiday parties or a summer one!
ReplyDeletexo, Anna of (Green Gable)
oh the jenni kayne dress is amazing! And I'm short, so maybe it wouldn't be quite that short on me! Love the booties too.
ReplyDeleteI would love to wear the first and second one.
ReplyDelete-Ly

I would have to flip a coin between the sparkle black dress or the funky pink dress (so cute!), or just get myself invited to two parties.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely something pink and flirty. I want to catch his attention.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.geekettegazette.com
LOVE the first black dress...so simple, yet so sexy! I may also wear the second pink dress...but in a different color. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the last one...it pops with color, just like my personality!! :)
ReplyDeleteHands down, I'd go with number one. So sexy, yet sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteWow. I love the first dress, but the 1920's chiffon dress is pretty incredible and a great switch up.
ReplyDeleteWhile the black dress is very fun and sort of a more classic holiday look with the sparkles, the pink dress is so pretty and sometimes in the dead of winter you need a little pop of pink as a pick me up!
ReplyDeleteThe chiffon with the flutter hem!!!! LOVE IT!
ReplyDeletePurple with sash...because of my shape. If I had a different shape it would be the black one, but that purple one flatters a fuller figure! They're all lovely!
ReplyDeleteBlack glitter or 1920's chiffon - both are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI like the cream vintage looking one. But I don't think I could pull it off with my boyish shape!
ReplyDeletethe flutter hemmed dress FOR SURE !!
ReplyDeleteI am so in love with that blck glitter dress. It is sexy and classy.
ReplyDeleteThe black glitter dress, without question!
ReplyDeletefirst one for sure. that would definitely get his attention!
ReplyDeletei love the flirty one-shouldered but would (almost) undoubtedly end up in the black + a belt.
ReplyDeleteThe first one would be my natural go-to pick because I love wearing little black dresses. However, if I was feeling like I wanted to spice things up a bit - I would go with the last one - I love the short hot pink silk, the simplicity is stunning and I love the subtle detail of how the fabric is cut and lays.
ReplyDeleteMuch love,
B
Definitely the first dress! Showing just the right amount of skin...gorgeous!
ReplyDeletewww.dylandrake.blogspot.com
I love the top one the best!
ReplyDeleteThe first one caught my eye immediately! But the color of the second one is so fun!
ReplyDeleteCall me boring, (or classic!), I'd go with the LBD. It never fails!
ReplyDeletepink one shoulder please.
ReplyDeleteI simply NEED that Alice + Olivia black glittery dress! Where has it been all my life?!
ReplyDeleteThe black glitter dress all the way! Gorgeous. {Now if only I had somewhere to wear it...}
ReplyDeletedefinitely #1. I'm actually wearing something similar this year with a pair of gold sparkly louboutin heels. I can't wait! Except I'm only looking to impress the hubby.
ReplyDeletethat black dress is very va va voom. i love that one and the vintage inspired chiffon dress... which i would choose if i was slightly taller.
ReplyDeleteI like the second!
ReplyDeletethe LAST one! so striking in cut + colour. pretty colour but the style makes it not so girly. LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely the 1920s chiffon or the black glitter dress! how beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pink Shoshanna one. I need it now. Too bad it is out of my price range!
ReplyDelete#1, hands-down!
ReplyDeleteJoanna, I love these posts so much. They break up the current monotony of my day. And I'd probably go with the first or last as well. I love how one scream holidays, but I love shift dresses and the slit makes for an interesting surprise.
ReplyDeletedefinitely the black glitter dress, so effortless and chic.
ReplyDeleteMost definitely the class black with a modern twist! I adore it. :)
ReplyDeletecheck out my new blog: http://theseamandfold.blogspot.com/
The last one, for sure.
ReplyDeleteThe black one of course... :-))
ReplyDeleteIt's a little dangerous and yet safe at the same time.
Especially love the black and the hot pink.
ReplyDeleteTeresa
xoxo
none of these :)
ReplyDeletei love dresses but i am curvy, i have boobs, and none of those would love great with my boobs.
i am currently looking at a £60 dress in warehouse that is black and the sleeves are mesh and has polka dots and i love it. now to go to the store and buy it!
Either the first or the second one!
ReplyDeleteThe third one - chiffon! So beautiful.
ReplyDelete-Audra
http://audrasally.blogspot.com
the fisrt one for sure!
ReplyDeleteThe black one is super cute, but 1920's inspired dresses are a weak spot of mine! By they way, I'm loving the shoes they've all been paired with! Those bronzey peep toes and nude t-straps! Oh my!
ReplyDeletethe black for sure!! www.savvystayathomemom.blogpsot.com
ReplyDeleteFor a holiday party I'd go with the black or the last one with some major heels! They are all great though!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's boring, but I would definitely go with the black! Give me an LBD and day of the week, and I'm a happy camper:) Plus the sparkle in it makes it EXTRA festive!
ReplyDeleteI adore the first one, sparkles are SO my thing!
ReplyDeleteI love the black one SO much and it is festive and fancy and the second becauste it has a neckline which is sexy, but you don't need cleavage to pull it off. (I have good shoulders, but small boobsl!). Love those first 2!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love everything about that black dress
ReplyDeletehttp://chicgeekery.blogspot.com/
the black one!
ReplyDeletei would go for number 2 or 4
ReplyDeleteI'd have to go with the black glitter dress... too cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the top dress, the sparkly black one! That is a perfect LBD. It looks so slinky and flattering! I also like the one-shoulder pink dress. Very cute style.
ReplyDeletethe 20's chiffon, or the minimalist pink one (but it would need to be black!)
ReplyDeleteI love the first one, but I would never be comfortable in that all night - especially at a party where I'd want to eat appetizers and drink booze! My go-to holiday dress style is sleeveless, v-neck, fitted top, empire waist so the bottom flows and you don't have to suck in all night!
ReplyDeleteThe first one, definitely! So classy! You could totally pull that of Joanna. Not so sure I could. Luckily, or I would have to consider buying it, and it is kind of pricy. But a classic, you could wear it for years to come! Go for it! :)
ReplyDeletemy usual choice would be the first one. on a more "i'm feeling great about myself today" day, id go for the last one most probably!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the first dress. It's pretty perfect. But then I'd choose the last dress as a good second option- except I'd add some great leggings and a pair of cool wedges!
ReplyDeleteThe first one wins it for me. Normally, I think black dresses drain me as I have dark hair and dark eyes, but the glitter and cut is amazing. The pink dress is an amazing colour but the length is a little short. I realise that's the point but for me I'd not have hardly a smidge of self consciousness in the black dress.
ReplyDeletewww.thefabulousmission.blogspot.com
Glittery black or 1 shoulder pink ~ what fabulous choices! :)
ReplyDeleteoohh... i love the silk pink one!... although i would wear it with black or maybe red tights.. it looks so short :/
ReplyDeleteI'd wear the one shoulder pink dress...it's not too form fitting like the black one so I can breathe :0)
ReplyDeleteI'm a firm believer that if you feel comfortable you will look sexier
http://www.hipposandhearts.com/
I'm big chested and short, so I'm not sure any of them would really flatter me :) But I do really like the shoulder pink (and I don't even like pink!) haha
ReplyDeleteI would definitely choose the last pink one -- if I temporarily lost my mind enough to spend $650 on a dress.
ReplyDeleteThe first one (Alice & Olivia) would be best for my body type. So pretty, love it!
ReplyDeleteThe first one without a doubt... it is an ALL in one!!!
ReplyDeleteNumber 1!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the black glitter dress!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE a little bit of sparkle for the holidays, but i think the last pink dress is my fav. It's simple and artful.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to wear the black glitter dress (beautiful!), but, more realistically, I'd probably go for the wrap dress, which is a very flattering cut and can be dressed up or down. It would depend on the occasion. I'd love to have an occasion that calls for the shiny one!
ReplyDeleteOne shouldered pink dress! So cute!
ReplyDeletelove that black on on the top!
ReplyDeleteI love the first one you chose, very elegant and flattering for a wide array of figure types. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the chiffon hem one but also the black glitter, very unique for a little black dress.
ReplyDeleteAside from them all being gorgeous, I'd wear the hot pink one of the chiffon one!
ReplyDeleteFor me, I would most definitely pick the second one!
ReplyDeleteI think I would go with the purple chiffon. Add some black platform pumps, a black clutch and layer some gold jewelry. Ready to party! :)
ReplyDeletethe black to the first party and the 1920's vintage to the next - tres chic!
ReplyDeleteAlways black.... I like the color even if it is predictable. I love the shape of this dress.
ReplyDeletei would love the one-shouldered dress. it's so cute! it'd be something a little different than i'd normally go for, but a fun pick me up for this mommy. who wouldn't have a blast at a party in such a fun dress!
ReplyDeleteSparkly black for me - classic but festive!
ReplyDeletethe first one- without a double!
ReplyDeletethe last one made me catch my breath. although i shy away from bright colors like red (or bright pink), it's fun to go all out for the holidays. the cut is fabulously unique.
ReplyDeletefirst one!
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely choose the first number. I like how it's got a subtle sparkle but the cut is both sexy and classy. I can't wear shapless things so this one rules.
ReplyDeleteThe blue one, cause I like it and cause it would fit my body ;)
ReplyDeleteIs very important to be aware of what make us look better...
LBD definitely.
ReplyDeleteThe 1920s chiffon number is my style, but I can't afford any of these frocks! Oh to daydream, though. xo.
ReplyDeleteI love the sparkly black one, it is so festive and pretty. I might get it for a wedding I have to go to right before Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteThe Chiffon & Pink are absolutely amazing!!! I would normally choose the black but lately I have been a little braver with color. :)
ReplyDeleteThe first and last are definitely my favourites, but in the end I think I would go fot the pink silk, it's so sexy! And love the boots too!
ReplyDeleteI am liking the 1920's dress more and more...
ReplyDeleteIn love with the last amd smitten with the first.
ReplyDeleteThe Chiffon dress is me!
ReplyDeletelast one! absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteThat first dress is to DIE for!!!
ReplyDeleteThe first dress hands down!
ReplyDeleteI would like to say the black one, because it's so understatingly sexy, but I'd probably go for the pink one-shoulder because it's bold and fun (like one should be at a party!)
ReplyDeleteThese are ALL gorgeous! The only one I wouldn't wear is the flapper-inspired dress. It's gorgeous, but so long it would probably make my petite 5'3" frame a whole foot shorter. I like clothes that add the illusion of height.
ReplyDeletethe first one!classy yet sexy!the rest look too summery for a winter party!
ReplyDeleteWithout question, the 1920's chiffon. l-o-v-e LOVE.
ReplyDelete1920s chiffon FOR SURE!! what a dress!! WOW!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitly the chiffon dress! SO beautiful and not too wild.
ReplyDeleteI would wear the black one (after loosing a little more post-pregnancy weight.) I think, the blue wrap dress would be very flattering and look best on me, but I feel that "the ex" (or men in general) might not find it as appealing as the little black piece. Also, knowing the "ex's taste" would play a big role. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Hm, what a strange comment above about "all the clothes on your blog is for thin people". It's your blog - you can write about whatever is interesting to you.
The second one! The colour is perfect, will definitely stand out in a crowd and the cut is just divine!
ReplyDelete#1!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the first dress! I would want to wear it ALL THE TIME.
ReplyDeletemmm black glitter! *S*
ReplyDeleteThe first and last are my favorites. Partial to the first...so glam yet understated.
ReplyDeleteThe pink silk drape is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThis post couldn't have come at a better time, I'm desperately trying to find the perfect holiday dress for a party in a couple of weeks. I'm going to hunt down that last one ! I love how it's classic, yet unexpected at the same time !
ReplyDeleteThe black is classic as always but that pink silk is way cute!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the 1920s chiffon!! The hem is flirty- it's just perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe wrap dress would certainly suit my body the best. I'd also love to wear the black sparkly one, with spanx of course!
ReplyDeleteI'm completely a fan of the first one. It is so sexy! A bold move for a first date perhaps (I would probably go with the second one if that were the case), but perfect for a romantic dinner out.
ReplyDeletenumber 1 or number 4 would be amongst my choices. :)
ReplyDeletedefinitely the black glitter dress.
ReplyDeleteI love the black glitter dress the most!
ReplyDeleteThe Black or the White :)
ReplyDeleteI would go for the one shoulder hot pink dress. So cute and fun!
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely choose the black one too. When seducing, I always go with the safer choice. If you feel good about yourself, people realize - and respond.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the one shoulder pink dress- it's absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteProbably the black one..
ReplyDeletehands down the last!
ReplyDeleteLove the black dress. Might do the pink one too depending on my mood. But that black dress smolders.
ReplyDeleteThe second one is ADORABLE but I would probably go for the first. I am loving all the sparkles this season.
ReplyDeleteDef the first one! Very festive.
ReplyDelete1920's chiffon dress!!! Mostly because she has my hair and coloring so I know (if I lost like 30 lbs, lol) I'd look HOT!
ReplyDeleteThey are all gorgeous!
ooh, black glitter dress!
ReplyDeletethe pink for sure!! it's a simple sexy statement.
ReplyDeletexx
The one shoulder pink dress is perfection to me! It is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove LOVE the pink lil dress. It would be perfect with a nice sleek black tux looking jacket.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the chiffon dress with the flutter hem! I'd probably glam it up a bit by adding some bead work to the hem :)
ReplyDeletethe chiffron dress all the way. how fabulous is this dress! I love the loose fit.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the first one!
ReplyDeleteI would wear the first one, definitely. I really like that silhouette, and the sparkles help too. I would like a sequined miniskirt or dress to wear to holiday parties; they're so festive!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely go with the first black one! It fits my style perfectly!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the first dress! So chic and the perfect cocktail party dress!
ReplyDeletehttp://follesophistiquee.blogspot.com/
I'd wear the black or the purple wrap.
ReplyDeleteBLACK. I love colors, but black is instant boy lure
ReplyDeleteDress one...all...the...way!
ReplyDeleteYanira

definitely the first one but with the beige shoes(nr4 pic):)
ReplyDeletecome and visit my blog

if you like it, follow me...:)
depends on what party will you go.. am i right??
ReplyDeleteI like the black one the best, very pretty :)
ReplyDeletei lovelove that pink silk dress! i don't wear many bright colors, but i would wear it in a heart beat if it were black!
ReplyDeleteThe last pink silk dress - the bright pink is tempered and made more elegant by the clean modern lines of the dress.
ReplyDeleteThe first Black Dress or the purple Wrap dress!
ReplyDeleteThough i am little drawn to the vintage dress too!
I'd wear the first one for sure !
ReplyDeletehttp://www.balletpumpsandroses.com
The blue one. No doubt. I want. I need. NOW.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that first one. So classy but still casual in a way.
ReplyDeleteLeeyaengel.blogger.com
if i had a crazy fly body i'd go with the 1920's dress with the flutter hem, that is too sexy, but in the real world you'd most likely see me in the purple wrap dress.
ReplyDeleteThe black one, the black one, the black one!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! where can I find it??
Hello there, I found your blog a while ago but that's the first time I am posting here :). found you via cup cakes and cashmere.
Just clicked on the black dress link :) never mind my question! he he
ReplyDeleteI love the chiffon flutter dress!! It is so fun and flirty, and it will stand out more than the black dress (which was my second pick!).
ReplyDeleteThe black one definitely.
ReplyDeletethese are all gorgeous; however, the first one is jaw-dropping. it so fits my personality! thanks for asking, i love these kinds of posts.
