What are you up to this weekend? Tonight Alex and I are taking the freezing cold ferry to Staten Island to see Louis C.K. do stand-up. I'm psyched. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and here are some fun posts from around the web...New Yorker article about a strange new thing called "blogging" back in 2000.
Rad do-it-yourself pants.
Thanksgiving cupcakes!
Awww, a birthday post written by a husband.
The subway won't tell people to be patient anymore.
Cute bump photos.
LED slippers are genius.
Cool hair.
A rad article about a street musician.
This banner would be lovely for the end of a party.
Christoph Niemann ran AND sketched the NYC marathon at the same time.
A truly inspiring video.
Reminder: Pinhole Press is offering 10% off everything in their shop until December 31st. Just enter the code CUPOFJO. xoxo
Have a good one. xoxo

ReplyDeleteWhat is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
-- from "Leisure," by W.H. Davies
We rush round and we rush around with children who sometimes would dearly love meander and to stop and just look at things that capture their interest. So interesting.
the Pearls Before Breakfast article was great! It's actually quite a thinker article.

Joanna, I need your help, I found an image on your website and took it to my hairdresser and now can't find it again!
ReplyDeleteAm desperate as he made me feel more amazing than ever before ..... the photo you posted was from a photographer on etsy of a girl in her mid-twenties (i think) sitting slightly profile.
PLEASE HELP!
Thanks for those cool links... specially the video... really loved it :)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thank you for the Pinhole Press recommendation and discount.
ReplyDeleteI just ordered a wedding album for my parents and was SO impressed with the quality. My images are fairly desaturated and look AWFUL printed on a home printer, but my photographer assured me they would print better at a higher quality. Pinhole did not disappoint!
The only bummer is, in the big spread of our whole family, I realized that I'd accidentally used a shot where my stepmother's eyes were closed! As she is an INCREDIBLY, shall we say... particular person, I knew she would have a fit over it and any good intentions in giving the album would be for nothing. So I replaced the image and am having the album printed AGAIN! But, since the quality is so nice, I'm okay with paying twice. (And will give the other album to my aunt. :) )
Thanks again for always clueing your readers into the best stuff.
Your post wonderful & your post products is very need.
ReplyDeleteHow was Louis CK, Joanna? I am a big Louis fan... he gets under my skin!
