A couple years ago, I had a pair of knee-pad tights. They looked so cute with a dress or skirt, and I happily wore them to movies, dinners and parties. They made me feel pretty. Don't they remind you of something Zoe Deschanel would wear? They ended up disappearing into the laundry, but I'm excited to get another pair for this holiday season. Thoughts? Would you wear them?
P.S. Remember these sexy tights?(Bottom photo by Chictopia)

wow very cute i've never seen those before! :0

Nope- the jokes would be endless. I would wear Elbow pads though - that's a completely different story.
ReplyDeleteNa... I'm gonna go with don't! : )
ReplyDeleteHmmm.... I am afraid those aren't for me.... Look cute on the models, though!
ReplyDeleteI think they're adorable but if I wore them, I'd look pretty ridiculous. I'm too short to fancy up my leggings hehe
ReplyDeleteElbow pads yes, knee pads no.
ReplyDeleteAs mentioned above, the jokes would be endless.
I'd say a don't - I love when sweaters have elbow patches, but to me, these girls just look like volleyball players!

I think they would only work on models with very long and very slim legs. Also only for people with a very high tolerance for BJ jokes from random men and rowdy teenagers on the street.
ReplyDeleteI love these! I used to wear them daily, back in my good 'ol equestrian days.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I don't think they're stroller chic in my neighborhood. :( Darn.
Ugh! So stinkin' cute :)
ReplyDeletePlus, Zooey could sell me on anything.
LOVE the knee pad tights!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.hipposandhearts.com/
absolutely not unless your second job is a two bit ____ on the side of the street.
ReplyDeletethey'd be cute on you! you need the long legs to pull these off
ReplyDeleteI think they are so cute! I am getting ready to make a pair for my daughter.
ReplyDeletedefinitely DO, i love them! :)
ReplyDelete...and get your mind outta the gutter people. ;)
yeah, I don't know about those. Kind of cheeky but not my thing.
ReplyDeleteI do not love them for regular wear, but from time to time they would be fun to add a flair to an outfit.
ReplyDeleteMuch love,
B
So cute! I don't think I've ever seen anyone rock these but I think it looks charming and girly (yes very Zoe deschanel). I wish I could pull them off!
ReplyDeletethey look cute, but for me it would be a don't...
ReplyDeleteNo, don't like that at all...
ReplyDeleteA bit too adorkable for my taste!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the idea... but couldn't pull them off! I am however in love with that sweet little black dress in the second pic! Fabulous.

ahhh! i love them!! i would wear them all the time!!!
ReplyDelete♥ allister bee blog
Usually I'm all over that sort of thing but I don't know about these. I don't think they're that flattering.
ReplyDeletethey look like fun tights! i wore knee pads every day when i was working with penguins (lots of crawling around catching penguin chicks and angry parents) - these are much more fashionable! though, probably not too protective for penguin wrangling.
ReplyDeleteCuter in theory than in practice. No.......I can hear all the snide remarks now. Noooooo.
ReplyDeleteDon't.
ReplyDeleteNope. This is just not flattering...and maybe trying a little too hard to be interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'd wear them...IF I was your age or younger...Unfortunately though I thin with long legs I'm too old :-)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I say yes. If you are ever waffling about something else (fashion, furniture, even a parenting decision) I would love to feature you on my blog, The Waffler. Readers submit their "waffles" (dilemmas) and I create a post with a poll at the end for other readers to vote their favorites. My readers have given great advice and it's fun to see the results.
ReplyDeleteI may be in the minority but I think these are so cute!
ReplyDeletei think they would look so pretty with flats and a trench coat :)
ReplyDeletehttp://girlynote.blogspot.com
I AM all about elbow patches... maybe knee ones won't be too far behind.
ReplyDeleteI think it's much too twee, unless the wearer is under five years old.
ReplyDeleteLove the first look!
ReplyDeleteFor me, this look lost its cutesy-appeal when Lindsay Lohan did a collection of leggings with knee pads back in '08. *shudder*
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna have to say no. I think it looks starnge...the light color draws your eye to her knees. I would want to elongate my legs and I don't think this does the trick.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say a no. Yes, I'd be afraid of all the jokes but I'm also just not a fan. If you want cute tights I'd suggest the patterned ones at Anthropologie. Also I agree that elbow pads are the way to go.
ReplyDeleteThe ones pictured are from the uber cute company Hansel from Basel I feel if you wear them with confidence - age makes no difference! I love them!
ReplyDeleteIf executed correctly...a do!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna go with yes on the top pair, and not-so-much on the bottom pair. I think I like how the rest of the outfit works them in!
ReplyDeleteThe first outfit is adorable! I think overall I like elbow pads more, but this is still very cute!
ReplyDeletexo
I would have to say no to the tights, but yes to the cute black shift dress shown in the second picture. Super chic!
ReplyDeleteKatherine @ thistle handmade
I think they're really kooky and sweet! I'd like them to suit me anyway!
ReplyDeleteThere is a really great DIY tutorial for them here:
http://www.3191milesapart.com/?p=2955
I had a pair but got made fun of WAAAY too much:) I think I'll go with a cute sweater with elbow pads instead:P
ReplyDeletefull length, or footless, but NOT those thigh-highs! ugh!
ReplyDeleteno!!!
ReplyDeletei'll vote for don't.
I think they're cute. I love funky tights!
ReplyDeleteThats something new to me, its very cute but i like the dark tights with the white patches better
ReplyDeletedo!!! I love these, so cute.
ReplyDeleteYes! I would love to wear these. I think they are so cute! And they'd look adorable with a new polka dot dress I just bought :)
ReplyDeleteHm, I don't think I could pull them off. I'm weird about stuff like this-- don't like elbow patches either. They both seem unnecessary and odd additions to me! :)
ReplyDeleteNot for me, but definitely for my little girl.
ReplyDeleteI really like the dark-colored knee-pad tights, but the white ones look more like they have holes in the knees than pads. The dark ones are pretty cute!
ReplyDeletei say do.. fashion is about play and finding inspiration in the most unlikely of places.. i kind of dig seeing photos of myself in crazy outfits from two, three, ten years ago. it means i played, it means i was fashion-courageous.. if you like them, wear them. (p.s. love your blog!)
ReplyDeleteI really love this idea! It's very reminiscent of "old man" elbow patches on sweaters which are always amazingly cute. Really cool!
ReplyDeleteAbby
http://classickitsch.blogspot.com/
Carrie Bradshaw wore some!
ReplyDeleteI think if you wear them you will be confronted with endless innuendo! They are super cute though.
ReplyDeleteZooey* (Like "Franny &") :o)
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, they are so pretty!
I think these are a no-go for me. My legs are waaaay to short to have a contrasting color at the knee breaking them up and making them look extra stump like. I think I'll stick to elbow patches since I'm not quite as worried about stubby looking arms:)
ReplyDeleteaw someone thought to put the pads on the KNEE instead?? i think it's adorable and brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know...I think they're cute but they're definitely not for anyone :)
ReplyDeleteI say YES! If you can do elbow pads, you can do knee pads! Super cute. :)
ReplyDeletexo,

I say if you have the legs to pull it off-- DO!
ReplyDeleteIdea is quite unusual, look interesting!
ReplyDeletei vote no.... lol.
ReplyDeleteDO! I'm making some for my niece for Christmas :)
ReplyDeletei love those white/nude ones!
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable!
ReplyDeleteUsually I love your style but this is a definite NO for me! Knees are generally ugly, why emphasize them with a big ol' circle? Also agree with other commenters about endless knee-pad/bj jokes!
ReplyDeleteno no..please don'T.
ReplyDeleteoh no, no, no.
ReplyDeletei think they would have to be styled perfectly and only in black.
ReplyDeleteLindsay
I know way too many guys and I turn bright red just thinking about the comments they'd come up with if they saw a woman wearing "knee pads".
ReplyDeleteI'd stick to elbow pads on blazers and old man sweaters, and keep away from this...unless you want every man you pass on the street (and probably many women too) to wonder whether you give good head.
ReplyDelete#truth
definitely! they are too cute!
ReplyDeleteThese are soooo adorable! :)
ReplyDeletedon't. But I love elbow patches sooooo much.
ReplyDeletehaha, i'm definitely in the minority here! :) i still love them. also, i'm such a nerd and didn't get why they would be "funny" and prime for teasing, until reading down the comments....ahhhh, i get it.
ReplyDeletelove the look in that first photo, but yeah...all I'd be able to think of is naughtiness. hubs would probably like them, though.
ReplyDeletethese are so cute! i really want a pair!
ReplyDeleteThey're adorable and I would totally wear them! I have drawer overflowing with tights though, and I think I'd get in trouble.
ReplyDeleteOmigosh, no. So maybe my mind is in the gutter, but so are a lot of other people's... I immediately thought of the wrong reason a lady would need knee pads...
ReplyDeleteyuck. not for me!
ReplyDeleteI definitely think they are quirky-cute but would be hard to pull off for me!
ReplyDeleteA victorian palourmaid's dream, but my knees do not need drawing attention to!! You are braver than me, but probably have spiffier pins!
ReplyDeleteWhere can I get that amazing coat in the first picture?!
ReplyDeleteOh no no no.... these are just wrongo. I"m actually laughing right out loud at them.. There's fashion darling and then there's just, well..... just plain over the top silly.
ReplyDeleteI love them and have a pair!
ReplyDeleteAll I can think of when I see them are blowjobs!
ReplyDeleteOh wow...okay...um, a "Don't" for me but I am sure this trend will become very popular.

Wow! I have never seen knee pads on tights! I do have to say, I don't have enough guts to pull this move off but kudos to those of you who can :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could pull them off, maybe at home alone for a cozy movie date.
ReplyDeleteA more important note: Where do socks/underwear/tights go in the laundry? Can someone please do an investigation on that, I don't get it!
No, no, no, and no. Step away, please.
ReplyDeletei think it's adorable! hansel from basel has the best ones too!
ReplyDeleteSO cute! especially the kneesock ones. I'm planning on elbow patching a sweater soon, but for the kneepads I'll probably buy them.
ReplyDeleteDooo! It's so cute! :)

How is this answer not majority vote?
ReplyDeleteDon't!
But way to go all of you daring fashionistas.
Personally, I would not. Too little-girl-like and unsophisticated. Maybe I am just not comfortable with my knees?
ReplyDeletehttp://leeyaengel.blogspot.com/
Do!! So cute!
ReplyDeleteIm not sold, but I'll never back down to trying out a potential new trend - it could grow on me I suppose.

adorable!
ReplyDeleteI hate to say this, but I just couldn't, they remind me the Yorkshire ripper. I don't want you to google that.
ReplyDeleteUh, no...I just couldn't. Elbows pads, I'm good with though.
ReplyDeleteI say skip this trend. Not digging it.
ReplyDeleteI love knee pad tights! When I first saw them i thought they were strange but now I wear mine all the time. I love almost any tights made by Hansel from Basel!
ReplyDeleteTrying really hard to like them... right now I'm going with no. I'll let you know if I change my mind, though! I'm pretty easily influenced by trends.
ReplyDeletehttp://itsthelittle-things.blogspot.com
They are so cute! Can't believe so many are against them!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, a don't. Totally weird. Yuk. No.
ReplyDeleteLOVE THEM in the first picture WHERE DO I GET THEM
ReplyDeleteThis blog is definitely rather handy since I’m at the moment creating an internet floral website – although I am only starting out therefore it’s really fairly small, nothing like this site. Can link to a few of the posts here as they are quite. Thanks much. Zoey Olsen.
