What are you up to this weekend? My dad is visiting, so I'm guessing we'll play games, drink wine and eat too much cheese. If it's snowy tomorrow, we might take Toby to FAO Schwartz. (Remember the piano scene from Big?:) Hope you have a good one! Meanwhile, here are a few great posts from around the web...Ivy League dorm rooms.
One bed, three kids.
What a clever way to share a recipe.
Marble balloons.
The perfect non-sticky lip balm for kissing.

Genius ad campaign, made me laugh.
Dancing business cards.
Just ordered this rad reindeer sweater and am excited to wear it to holiday parties :)

I'm wondering when you are going to post your holiday gift guides? I loved your suggestions last year! I'm hoping you publish them a bit earlier this year. Seriously, if I had an award to give for best gift giving guide, you would win! Maybe it's this crazy weather predicted for NYC this weekend that has me thinking of Christmas instead of Halloween!

I still have my very battered first tin of Rosebud that I got in 1995 in a pharmacy in Taos on a holiday. I once left it on a radiator and it melted and I had the idea to melt some lipstick into the remainder of the salve to tint it. I still wear the tint to this day. I get most of my kisses from a one year old and he seems to love it, but his idea is to get as much as possible off my lips and onto his!
ReplyDeletethanks for reposting that amazing quote. ive been struggling with my off-the-wall personality these days and it gave me a more positive perspective. thank you <3

Joanna, I've been using Rosebud Salve since I was 15. First given to me by my great grandma Vickie. It is amazing. I cannot go to bed without it on my lips. Ever.
ReplyDeleteWe took our toddler to FAO Schwartz the first time she was in New York. Not only did she have a blast, but we did too! :) I miss that city!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Kristina
Love the Wit & Delight recipe sharing - why didn't I think of that first, darn! Very cute.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!!
ReplyDeleteBoth pics are really nice !!!
ReplyDeleteBusy weekend. A wedding, a birthday party, a play date and a bbq. Plus lots to do with halloween costumes to organise and birthday and anniversary to plan for + all the usual boring things.
ReplyDeletewow, rebecca, so busy! hope you had fun at the wedding. "all the usual boring things" = made me laugh:)
ReplyDeleteI've been on the lookout for a good reindeer sweater for years that fell somewhere between ugly and tacky, and cute and fun - this one wins! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteRosebud Salve is godsend in the wintertime. It is the perfect solution for chapped lips/cheeks/noses/whatever and even works miracles on ragged cuticles. LOVE IT -- definitely a staple for anyone in a colder climate.
ReplyDeletePS: You always do the BEST "have a great weekend" posts. I look forward to see what you thought was "share worthy" at the end of each week.
holy! look at this picture my husband took while serving a mission in switzerland - it's the second one down. same pic? weird. :)
