Blogshop

A few weeks ago, I attended Blogshop, a photoshop bootcamp designed for bloggers. A bunch of readers asked how it was, and I'm happy to report: It was amazing! Bri and Angela ran the class, and they were funny and charming. We learned how to create animated gifs, retouch photos (like erase pimples!) and add graphics and text to images. We ate delicious lunches from Radish (I literally stashed one of their flatbreads in my purse for later, like a crazy old lady) and received fun goody bags with Maptotes and Tattlys. All around, we had an awesome weekend with wonderful smart women, and I'd highly recommend it if you want to learn some new skillz.
See a little recap here:

Joanna,

That looks awesome! What a weekend full of such creative girl power!

I'm seriously considering taking this in Boston. Do you think this would be a good fit for someone who's not a huge blogger, but just wants to learn more? Also (so sorry for all the questions!) - did you know anything about photoshop before? I've always wanted to learn, but have been intimidated to jump on in!

aw, erin, thank you!!!

becca, I think it would be a great fit even if you aren't a frequent blogger -- like you can learn how to do invitations for parties, make your own holiday cards, retouch your vacation photos, all those kinds of thing! we learned so much, it really was awesome. i didn't know much about photoshop at all -- i had only used it when i was at Glamour to crop photos, but other than that, i had no idea about it! :)

Becca said...

Thanks so much for your feedback Joanna - I really appreciate it!

Last silly question - did participants have to own photoshop in order to attend?

This is getting me so excited! I'd totally want to use this to start making my own note cards to send to friends and bring back letter writing :)
