We live just down the street from Jacques Torres in Dumbo, and when I saw the title, I was hoping you'd say these were the best:). My husband loves them! (I love the smell, but am allergic to chocolate;).)

ReplyDeleteUntil I moved to L.A., I worked right across the street from Jacques at the Penguin office! They are hands down the best cookies. And, if you go in there for coffee, they'll put a shot of their unbelievable European style hot chocolate in there for you--it's amazing.

ReplyDeleteA-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Of course you have to plan ahead since it calls for huge full chocolate bars, WORTH IT!
and the recipe was so big, we halved it and then froze the rest to have ready to bake cookies, so yummy. My new favorite cookie!

ReplyDeleteI used to live right by Jacques Torres in Brooklyn and while their spicy hot chocolate is wonderful, Levain Bakery on the Upper West Side takes the cake! I dream about Levain cookies and even now, living on the opposite side of the country, I have Levain cookies shipped to my house just so I can taste a little bit of heaven every now and then :)
