I just bought this set of pillowcases from Urban Outfitters -- I absolutely love them! I paired them with a duvet sheet set (the "Organic Cotton Pintuck" duvet in slate) from West Elm! This is how I ended up arranging it here:
My oldest dd lives in the city...and my youngest is 13 and lives here in MN...here room is NYC themed...and she wants these pillow cases...we saw them this summer and fell in love!
Last year I purchased a three foot long wall sticker of the NYC skyline. It was really beautiful, the buildings also reflected off the water. Sadly, during my recent move, the sticker didn't make it.... Love the baby blanket!
Oh my gosh I love those pillows! I couldn't tell what it was when the photo showed up in my RSS feed but I absolutely love those! City scape imagery get's me every time = )
Hi guys! On a slight tangent to NY shopping, my friends just got married here at the registry office in NYC, on a whim (though they've been together for like 7 years). They are here from Australia studying for a year, and they've decided to do everything backwards! So my question is: do any of you New Yorkers have a recommendation for a good antique jewellery store for an (after the fact!) engagement ring? Funnily enough, Yelp isn't much help on this one! xx
I also love to hang artwork featuring my favorite cities. Photographs, prints, etc. The city map prints from These Are Things recently caught my eye and I ordered the San Fran one, but this Manhattan one is great as well: http://shop.thesearethings.com/products/manhattan-neighborhoods-map
Check out Pippin Jewelry on 17th between 6th and 7th (closer to 6th on south side of the street). They have a great selection of vintage jewelry at great prices and are willing to help you locate what you want if they don't have it. An amazing place, indeed! Good luck! http://pippinvintage.com/
I live in Manhattan with my husband and toddler son. Here's my portfolio website with magazine writing and branding work. For two years, I was the relationships blogger for Glamour Magazine, and now I blog for Conde Nast Traveler, as well. Follow me on Twitter or Pinterest. Please feel free to email me (hellojoannagoddard at gmail) if you'd like to advertise on Cup of Jo.
A Cup of Jo is a blog that I work on full-time to help support my family and young son. Without exception, A Cup of Jo's daily posts feature only products I genuinely recommend, and frequently use for myself and my family. Read on if you would like details about how I'm able to fund my work. A Cup of Jo features banner advertising, and my rates are set with small businesses in mind. Many of my sponsors come about organically, since they're brands or companies that I've always loved. A Cup of Jo sometimes includes affiliate links within certain posts, which means that we may make a small commission if a product is purchased through the blog. Of course, a reader would never pay more for a product; it's a branding relationship directly between the brand and me. Rarely (a few times a year), I allow sponsored posts, as long as they're a natural and positive fit with the blog; please be assured that I mark these posts clearly for my readers. As a final note, I sometimes feature my sponsors within round-ups, link lists or gift guides, but only when it's an organic fit and only when I would have included them even if they weren't sponsors; this editorial inclusion is never paid for. Please feel free to email me at hellojoannagoddard (at) gmail (dot) com if you have any questions at all. After more than five years of blogging, I feel truly connected with my readers, and my relationship with these incredible men and women is my top priority and, honestly, one of the great joys of my life. Thank you so much for visiting!
