Fall trend #4: Polka dots!
The next fall trend is a fun one: polka dots! Playful and adorable, polka dots make you want to smile at passersby. I can imagine Zooey Deschanel wearing them. Thoughts? Will you wear polka dots this fall?

I love that sweater! And those tights! Ah. I love em. Definitely one of my favorite trends. And I love how polka dots have become so grown up & chic, no longer just associated with little girls.
Polka dots (or petits pois) are a classic so I have some from the 1940s even...a silk scarf from an aunt...purchased in Paris. Woohoo.

I shot a wedding last weekend in the Meatpacking District and the bride wore a polka dot (black with white dots) dress. It was pretty sweet!

Mmmm... I have mixed feelings about the dots, they have to be small, sort of vintage looking, and in small doses for me to get behind them. What I'm absolutely in love with though is that infinity scarf in the first photo. That thing is amazing!

the polka dots in the tights are called point d'esprit (french) and my wedding dress' lace is point d'esprit. it's what sold me on the dress almost immediately!
