Now and again, I’ll get a sweet email from a dad asking for gift ideas for his pregnant wife. I can't imagine a new mama who wouldn't adore this beautiful ring. It brings tears to my eyes!P.S. 8 best gifts for new parents.

ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm not a mom, one of my most prized possessions is a ring my dad gave to my mom when they first found out they were expecting me. I could imagine a ring like this one pictured being passed throughout the family as a new daughter or daughter in law is expecting.

When I was pregnant my sister-in-law would constantly talk about the fact that I will be getting an eternity ring (something that women generally get from their spouses when they are pregnant with the first child, at least in the UK). I got something similar to this gem and when I did, I exclaimed, "Oh, thank you! I was so hoping I would get a maternity ring." Those English are sometimes hard to understand. The whole time I thought she was saying maternity, not eternity - it just made sense.
