Temporary tattoos!

These days, I'm smitten with all the clever tattoos out there, but I'm too wussy to get a permanent one. So I was THRILLED to discover tatt.ly, a new online shop offering awesome, designy temporary tattoos.

Which would you wear?

ha how clever. i'd probably choose the scribble one, just to confuse people.

Now that is fun - I love the watch.

I would love to get the Knucks...maybe Hell Yeah...?! If only to feel tough while the tattoo lasts because I would never get something like that if it were permanent! Would be fun to feel the rebel that I am not! :)

I absolutely LOVE the one that Jennifer Ward designed of the microphone (I found it one the site)!

I didn't take my husband's last name, which he is living with but not crazy about. I have been thinking about getting "Mrs. B" tattooed somewhere discreet.
Now I just may have to do it...

Joanna Goddard said...

yes, jennifer ward is awesome -- she has a moustache tattoo on her finger that she holds up! :)

angela, that is so cute! i LOVE all of these tattoos and want to wear one the next time we go out to dinner with friends. would be so cute peeking out behind a button-down shirt and jeans :)

The watch is hilarious.

I love Tattly. Such a great company. You should check out ThinkGeek.com too. They have adorable hand tattoos that turn your paws into hand puppets. I imagine Toby would get a kick out of it.

I love the scribble even though I could easily duplicate it with a sharpie.

I am in absolute LOVE with these! Particularly the coloburst and the scribble. How awesome would that scribble look on a shoulder blade exposed by a racer-back tank?!

Funny! I got a kick out of the knuckle tattoos, the robots, and the Late watch ... so I bought all three! :) Thanks for featuring.

I really like the watch tattoo...although I don't think I would ever get one of my own, even temporary hah..I don't know what it is. I really like them on other people, my boyfriend included, but don't think I could rock one.

Shaylen Maxwell said...

OMG AMAZING! Def the rabbit pipe (& my SO who never has the tattoo urge would absolutely want the carpe futurum.) Oh man, I want! XD

My son can have the mom one. ROTFL!

Bri (like the cheese) said...

Three things:
1) The scribble is my fav.
2) I am obsessed with henna because it is temporary but lasts longer and doesn't look like a sticker. One time, I got a henna cherry blossom on the top of my foot at an art festival and loved it so much I didn't want it to fade. So I got a REAL tattoo in its place, but with brown ink, so it still looks like henna.
3) A guy I went to high school with has my favorite tat of all time. It's a heart with an empty banner so that he can sharpie-in whatever he's feeling the love for at the moment. Crazy kid!

Nice idea! I would not make a permanent one but; I would try these for sure.

I feel like they've been swiping from your blog - the "type nerd" one is a copy of Jessica Hische's "type" tattoo that you featured here a long time ago, and the color wheel one sort of looks similar to a couple's tattoo that you also featured! I love them all, and hope someone is getting royalties off these!

great idea, love them!

I'm all for temporary tattoos as opposed to the real ones. (That anchor w/ "Mother" on it is pretty cool.)

Oh my word! Thanks for sharing these - they made my day! I'm tempted to buy the whole set while it's on special, but my favorites are absolutely the knucks and the scribble. I could see my boyfriend rocking the pipe-smoking rabbit on his forearm for sure. Hehe, thanks for the afternoon giggle - love these!

Love the color burst tattoo -- so cute! I'm in the same boat as you, Joanna, I don't think I could ever commit to a tattoo forever, but I admire other peoples' creative ideas and bravery! :)

I would LOVE trying one of these! I once saw a site promoting and providing temporary blue tattoos for brides on their wedding days, I thought it was a great, unique idea!

every single day i do :D

Nothing "wussy" about it. Frankly, I think this whole tatoo craze is a bit disgusting. Have a little more respect for your body! Whenever I see all these young beauties with massive tattoos, I have to wonder what they'll look like and think about it once gravity innevitably takes its toll. Stick with the stickers for fun, leave the real ink for the nutters.

Lol! That´s awesome!
I would definately wear the chromatic circle!
And I´d probably freak my mom out showing up back at home with those!
Just loved it! =)

I have two permanent tattoo's one on my right side going from the bottom of my ribs to the top of my thigh, which is three swallows in grey & black and my other one goes across my the top of my back (just above my bra line) and is a dandelion that goes into birds. I thought they would really hurt but they just felt like someone was scratching my skin with their fingernail :)

I have been debating this exact thing! I have become obsessed with the new Two New York caftans, but they are pricey. My friend thinks I could make one like this. I also love the hippie 70's momma vibe of them. But would people give me strange looks if I just wore it with flip-flops to the oyun store? Still deciding that.. Joanna, you should do a post about reactions to the caftan if you get one! They could be very funny!

Also, I am LOVING last week's Motherhood posts about juggling. Yours was especially heartfelt and beautifully written. It made me want to sit down at my laptop and do some REAL writing. Very impressive and beautiful for the blogosphere, I hope you are writing a book about motherhood!
