French fries
French fries are irresistibly delicious, don't you think? Well, Chelsea just shared this recipe for making your own, and it looks super easy. You could give it a Belgian twist and serve them with mayonnaise!

Oh french fries are my weakness! I must give these a try!
Much love,

Yum!
French fries are one of those things that I try to avoid lest I remember how delicious they are....
Or instead of mayonnaise you could do what my sister does and eat them with béarnaise or pepper sauce!

Yum! These look delicious. It's almost 12am here in Australia and this is the kind of midnight snack I am craving x
I love fries. I'm embarrassed to admit that I eat them at least twice a week. Whoever thought to fry a potato is my hero.
I love French fries, thank you for the recipe. Have a nice day.
yes please!
my mother love them with mayo, for some reason they always taste the best to me with vinegar and lots of salt!!!
bronwyn, that sounds AMAZING. your sister is a genius :)
vinegar and salt -- that sounds like british fish + chips! :)
I love french fries way to much. I can never stop with just one. I will have to try this.

ps. my friend had a theory: whenever you walk by a restaurant and something smells totally delicious and enticing, 99% of the time, it's french fries! :)
They taste delicious with tartar sauce!!
yummmm and now im craving french fries at 9am! xoxo jillian:: cornflake dreams
Ooo - I agree, it totally is the french fries! I had some last night and they were fried in Mushroom Oil (I never knew such a thing existed!) It was amazing how rich tasting they were, but still weren't heavy. They had an awesome earthy-potatoey goodness about them!
Becca
i definitely want to try the recipe
i love french fries :)

Those look delicious!! However Joanna, the French mostly eat their fries with ketchup (although they do have mayonnaise). It's very much a Dutch and Belgian thing to do, to eat them with mayonnaise. :)
mm all the italians eat them with mayo too! i thought it was so gross until i tried it...it's like a heart attack waiting to happen but delicious!
...with basil mayonnaise. Yep, definitely.
yummmm these look so delicious! pomme frites is one of my biggest weaknesses living in nyc!

Interesting..I am not a fries person, but my daughter loves them..she eats them dipped in ketchup mixed with mayonnaise. I'll pass this onto her..
Would it be wrong to have French Fries for breakfast?
Well I know what will be for dinner in the East Village tonight. And home-made tartar sauce was my first inclination for dipping.
The french fry is the perfect vehicle for so many good sauces - thanks for this!
French fries really are the one smell that I 100% cannot resist. They're just so good! And don't even get me started on the deliciousness of sweet potato french fries!
Those look so good that I am now craving french fries at 9:15 AM...
And on that note...french fries with mayonnaise was a game changer for me. There is nothing more delicious than dipping a fried object in more oil. Especially a heavily SALTED fried object.
Yum :)
This looks incredibly delicious.

add rosemary to the potatoes before you bake them. it's delicous! we call it 'rosmarinkartoffeln' (rosemary potatoes) in germany.

Yum! These look delicious!
Ah, but mayonnaise with fries is belgian - although French people near the Belgian border might do it as well.

Oh I didn't know eating them with mayonnaise was a french thing! In all of Germany and BeNeLux, it's always the choice between mayo, ketchup or both, and I believe mayo is the most popular :-) I didn't even come to think about that some people might do that differently ;-)
Relatable Style
It's only 9:30 here and I'm now starving!!! French fries are easily my one weakness. I'm going out to lunch today, so I just might have to order some! :)
Yum. I also love sweet potato fries! I was thinking of a cup of Jo last night (this is totally off topic) when out to see Midnight in Paris, one of the mos beautiful and amazing films I've seen. Oh nostalgia and Paris.
Cornwall-on-Hudson (about 45 minutes north of Manhattan) has a little shop called King's that serves all different types of fries with 31 types of dipping sauces. It's amazing!
I've never met a french fry that I didn't like. Yums in the tums. =)

I love chips (English for French fries) and mayonnaise!
Oh ... I LOVE fries but unfortch, I recently discovered that these unassuming little fried sticks of goodness turn my skin into a battle field ... so I must pass {and it pains me to do so ... boo!}

french fries are my downfall - i can never resist!!! if anyone lives in DC, there is a food truck "the fry captain" and he sells fries fried in duck fat. it may sound odd, but they are DEEEELISH!!!

Deep-fry your fries in beef fat for a real Belgian effect! There's a cute little Belgian bar in London called the Dovetail that serves them by the pint...SOOOO Good!
Hey, I'm Beglian, and do you know what would make it even more Belgian then mayo (certainly for the kids)?
Mixing your mayo with ketchup, which gives you a "cocktail sauce"!!!! Oh yes, we love that in Belgium. But every time I mention it here in the US, they look at me like I'm from another planet and that my way to eat is discusting LOL

these look so good. i've been eating way too many fries this summer but oh well, i guess i can work them off come winter. yummm!
This looks yummy! I posted a recipe for oven fries with spicy ketchup (and super-juicy Turkey Burgers) on my blog in February. Check it out, if you'd like: http://thesillygoosefarm.blogspot.com/2011/02/turkey-burgers-and-oven-fries.html
Oh, and if you blanche the potatoes first, then roast them, they get little "nooks and crannies" which makes them even crunchier!
french fries are my favorite treat ever. over any sort of ice cream or sweets. i think your friend is right it is always what smells so good when you walk by and that is cause it IS!! :)
My mouth is watering. Those look absolutely devine. (And no, I don't think I've ever used that word to describe fries before! Haha)

Mmm French fries with mayo - soo good!
Yum!
My mom always makes baked fries...her secret ingredient is to mix a little anchovy paste with olive oil and drizzle it on the potatoes before baking.
Oh I love chips and mayonnaise! It's the best accompaniment!
fries + mayo are my guilty pleasure :\
Fries + mayo = awesomeness. I just remember that scene in the car from Pulp Fiction (the one where Jules and Vincent talk about the Royale with Cheese) as clueing me into the whole "you don't have to put just ketchup on your fries" thing.
EEEP! I'm on Lisa's website! I had no idea! I love it!
bird dress!
i always mix mayo + ketchup for my fries - i think that makes me half belgian :) i've been craving these since i first saw the post this morning, then ashley from edibleperspective.com posted a recipe with beer-soaked french fries - ahhh!!! so delicious looking.
mayo + ketchup is genius, can't wait to try it :) and whoa, kim, i am going right over to that beer-soaked recipe. xo
Having a good bufala mozzarella are really great to have it and its use.
