  4. I own the pair in the photo, and the greatest part is that they don't accentuate any part of your body other than your rear end. Love.

  5. Probably! Definitely can't rock the skinnies.

  6. I adore those pants! I would absolutely wear them, but I would probably have to wear them with heels cause I'm so short :)

  54. I would totally. I never got into the skinny jeans because as much as I like the style, they didn't flatter my legs as much. So I wear wider leg jeans or more bell bottom jeans. Super cute.

    ReplyDelete
  59. i do so love a wide leg jean! i few of the styles out there have got ridiculously wide, but these are just perfect. i'm a big thumbs up on this one :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. Never stopped wearing them- skinny jeans REFUSE to fit my thighs (the closest I get is Gap real straight). I love wide legs forevah!

    Joanna,
    where's the photo from?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Yes!! Those are way better than skinny! :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Love the style, especially when worn with heels and a cute blouse. I need to get a pair for work soon!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Anonymous12:12 PM

I'm 5'3" and I find these WAY more flattering than skinny jeans (on me). I look pretty horrid in skinny jeans (even though I own a pair and wear them because they are so comfortable!). --Megan

    ReplyDelete
  64. Thank GOD these are a legitimate option again! I love me my wide leg jeans- they are forgiving in all the right places.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I wear them all the time, they're very comfy and chic :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. LOVE wide leg jeans! I've always worn them, even when they were not the trend of the moment. My wide-leg Hudsons are my go-to jeans and I always get at least one person asking where I got them every time I wear them! For me, this look will NEVER die! :)

    ReplyDelete
  67. I don't like them outrageously wide, but I think they lend a more elegant silhouette to a figure. I wear my high-waist wide-leg jeans when I want to feel like Audrey Hepburn; just tuck in a flirty blouse or buttoned-up cardigan.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Wide leg with heels.

I don't have any. But I'd love some.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Yes! I love this style. Much more flattering on us curvy girls than skinny jeans.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I bought those and returned them pretty quickly. If you have any sort of butt, it turns into mom jean central really fast. It's definitely a result of the denim, because I have palazzo pants for work and they do not have such an unfortunate effect.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I'd definitely wear them. Love wide legged jeans.

    Fashionable Collections

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yes yes yes! I definitely would. And I love that both wide leg and skinny leg are still in.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Love them. They look so comfy!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. i LOVE wide leg pants, but i always look like a raver kid in them so i refrain... too short. lovely on the long-legged of us!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I have never stopped wearing wide legs, even when skinners were "the" jeans to wear...tho I wear them too...love my flares all the time. Madewell's look great.

    ReplyDelete
  76. if i were model-tall i would. at 5'3" they look like JNCOS on me. :(

    ReplyDelete
  77. oooh yes! this screams yes! found a pair of my old calvin klein jeans, which I wore about 10 years ago, they are just gorgeous! this summer will be wide jeans for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  78. I've never been able to embrace the skinny-jean trend; my body isn't made for that look. I will always work a wide leg or a flared hem.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Adorable pants.. I would probably have worn them in my skinnier days, but not since my butt is as wide as the bottom of those pantlegs. PLUS, I don't wear any pants at that price point. Call me cheap, but there are plenty of cute pants for much less expensive.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Heck yes, I love them! I can't find any (unfortunately), and it makes me sad. I am looking for a cheap, but classy pair.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I love wide leg jeans. I recently went to Nordies for new work slacks and asked for wide legs but was told they were out of style! Guess I'll be hitting up Madewell soon!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I think they are awesome, but one of those styles that can be awful if you accidentally wear some that are wrong for your body type.

    ReplyDelete
  83. good to know, colleen! i was sort of worried about the butt bc they don't have pockets (and that can look odd)....i might head over there this evening to try them on. thanks for the head's up!

    ReplyDelete
  84. YES! I love wide leg jeans & they're very flattering on me since I'm pear shaped. xx

    ReplyDelete
  85. DO! They look great on curvy girls.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I LOVE these jeans from Madewell because they are the perfect compromise from the much harder to wear, super high waist wide-legs that create the dreaded long butt, as you can witness here. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Definite yes!!
I'm totally over the skinny jeans thing, mostly because I could never rock them with my short muscular legs, not a flattering way to go. Besides when it is hot out wide legs are so much more comfortable, anything tight and I feel like I'm wearing a leg straight jacket.

    ReplyDelete
  88. It's so funny how styles change over time. It wasn't that long ago that I would ONLY wear wide/flared jeans... and now all I wear are slim fit jeans. To be honest, I love both styles.
    xo

    ReplyDelete
  89. I'm working up the courage to wear wide-leg jeans, since I associate them with the awkward time of my youth. I find skinny jeans way too hot for summer weather, though, and it's very hot right now, so perhaps it's time to get my first wide-leg jeans since the 90's!

    ReplyDelete
  90. I wear that style all the time and love how they look on me! xxoo :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. I would definitely wear them.

    ReplyDelete
  92. i totally would... i happen to look stunning in wide leg jeans.. lol.. no am serious.

I wear pants like these all the time
So much nicer than skinny jeans that forgive nothing (hello plumber butt smile)

Got mine at apc and I have a pair in very light jean, one in mint green jeans and one in green corduroy (i will buy any pants a crazy color, especially green) and I love them. So comfortable and i like the 70s vibe. Perfect in winter with a light sweater for weekend errands

    Just beware of rain...

absolutly! wide leg jeans are my favourite :)

    ReplyDelete
  95. I really love the look of those, but I'm only 5'2" and I think they might look more sloppy than relaxed on my small frame. I will just encourage all my taller friends to wear them. :)

    ReplyDelete
  96. I was eyeing this EXACT pair of jeans from Madewell all weekend! A total do, especiallly for us grown ups.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I would wear the heck out of them! I actually thing wide-legged jeans flatter way more body types than other cuts....I'm excited for them to be "cool" again!

    ReplyDelete
  98. I love the look of wide leg jeans!!

    ReplyDelete
  99. I say yes! Love these.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Relaxed/bootcut fit to skinny fit and now to the opposite end of the spectrum: the 70s inspired wide leg. What's next? (Please don't say harem pants!)

  110. YES! and I wish I could afford those gloriously wide-legged jeans!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Thank you for the link to the GAP pettites Joanna. I'd love to be able to use this look on casual Fridays at the office.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Love them! I thunk the wide-leg jeans look so classic. I too have size 10 feet and never have to worry about them hiding under my jeans.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Do! but only if you have the right body for it.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I think wide-leg jeans look so neat, but I haven't found a pair that flatter me yet. Maybe I need to try more on!

  120. I've been noticing high buns on New Yorkers. That style hasn't reached me in Seattle yet! Do you have any tips?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Oh, I would. In fact, I have some wide-leg denim jeans from Ann Taylor that I absolutely adore. They're very comfortable and can be worn as jeans or dressy slacks, depending on how you wear them.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Express has some beautiful wide leg crepe pants that are perfect for work! They are perfectly slouchy and come with a sash belt too. Soooo in love with them. (I'm wearing them right now) They look SO EXPENSIVE but are only $70.

  129. Ha! Bobby, I'm with you. If it's more than 50 bucks, my stomach starts to hurt. However, as a woman who proudly (for the most part) boasts a pear-shape, I love wide-legs. They balance what wants to be balanced, you know?

Btw...just found this blog recently and am loving it as well.

  134. Yes! I absolutely love a light wash wide leg or trouser jean in the summer, especially with a breezy floral top! Something about the sun makes me go a little bit granola.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Yes! Love my skinnies but flares and wide legs are super comfy too!

  137. never, but that's because i'm the size of a hobbit and my legs aren't my best feature (aka, i don't have slim legs, so i feel like wide-leg jeans would just exaggerate that). i'm sticking with my straight-leg jeans for now :)

    ReplyDelete
  138. YES!! I'm a college girl recently turned 21 and love having girls night out and we all perfectly balance one another with some using platforms and very wide legged 70s pants and those with skinnies. Wides are coming back but skinnies are not leaving for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  139. I absolutely loooove wide leg jeans and trousers and wear them often. I think they taller you are, the better they look on you. And I will need to try out this brand :)

    ReplyDelete
  142. An absolute do! A gal commented above that she's skinny but carries her weight in her legs and has a long torso...ME Too! The trick is to go for a higher waisted pair. It tricks the eye into making your (and mine) short legs longer.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I've never stopped wearing wide-leg jean since high school, when I rocked my dad's castoff Levi's 501's (they were wide-leg on me... :)
I joined the skinny jean bandwagon for a bit, but truly these are flattering, sexy-casual, and just my style.

    ReplyDelete
  154. I love them, but I wouldn't wear them! I'm quite petite, so I don't think it's a flattering look on me, unless I have sky-high heels, but I don't want to destroy my feet or my back. :-( I'm jealous of those of you who can rock them!

    ReplyDelete

  159. YES!!! I hope the wide-leg jean trend of the '90s returns! I have a pear figure and absolutely cannot wear these awful skinny jeans (they're great for those who can wear them, terrible for those who wear them but shouldn't), and that's about all I can find these days--even in maternity wear! (What?!) Wide-leg is so forgiving and flattering.

    ReplyDelete
  160. 1,000 times yes! i just recently splurged on two pairs of high waisted wide legs (from j brand and ernest sewn.) i love hiding tall shoes under them and pretending i'm actually a normal size... i also love that in the summer, the flow like a long skirt would. cooler and much more comfortable.

    ReplyDelete
  161. That style looks so great...I love both wide leg and skinny pants.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Most definitely! They're great for any age. (I'm not giving mine away now, am I?) I love, love, love a relaxed look!
