  7. I spent 3 months in Europe in the fall '08 to study abroad. I lived in Salzburg and traveled on the weekends. I miss Salzburg constantly because it became home to me, and it's so quiet and peaceful. I pine for it daily, but lately I've been dreaming of Italy - Rome, mostly. I just loved how happy everyone seemed, and how much good food and wine awaits you!

  138. When I studied abroad in France, I went full-tilt on l'expérience Française. I had the Amélie haircut and a navy blue wool overcoat that I wore with big Frenchy scarves everyday. The crowning moment of my time there was walking past a beautiful Parisian building just like this one while two trumpet players leaned out of the window playing the Amélie theme song. Priceless!! Perhaps it was even that very building. {swoon!} Thanks for sharing, Joanna! xo

I would love to be in Vienna right now - the city of my dreams, my heart, my soul. It's so incredibly beautiful there, the architecture is breathtaking. And I like the people there, their sense for old traditions and behaviour and they have a good sense of humour. I wish I could live there. Unfortunatly with a one-year-old, yet unfinished studies and hushand with a large network in Berlin, it's not that easy to move from here to Vienna.

But maybe one day... I keep on dreaming :)

  149. I visited my sister in Copenhagen years ago, and we took a few days to go to Oslo. I've been dreaming about going back to Norway (and now that I'm employed after a year and a half in grad school, am finally saving!). My plan is to take a boat trip up the coast to Tromsø (inside the Arctic Circle!).

Northern California is on the list, too...and probably much more doable!

I love hearing about where people want to go. I'm not a big traveler, but when I get the bug, it's bad!

    Have a good weekend!

  150. For the first time ever, Morocoo is at the top of my list!! I crave exotic food, days of lounging and market visits. Do any of you have any (reasonably priced) hotel/resort recommendations?

  154. I SO want to go to Norway! And to Copenhagen. Did you know that Copenhagen came top in the Happiness index. I want to go over there to see what all the fuss is about! Oh, and to have a Danish pastry or two..

Hei! (As we say in Norway) I´m norwegian and I found you blog while googling Emersonmade (just adore her stuff :) and I was so proud when I saw "Wanderlust". Norway is beautiful. The southern part is ocean and beach, the western part is high mountain and bluegreen fjords. The north i s spectaculere with the northlight in winter and sun all night long in the summer and the east were I live is shopping ;) Have a nice summer where ever you are and keep up this feelgood blog!
