Remember that mindblowing commercial a few years ago where thousands of bouncy balls cascaded down the hills of San Francisco? Well, Danish photographer Peter Funch captured photos of the scene, and Lumas is selling limited edition prints. Aren't they magical? Here's the commercial, if you haven't seen it:

ReplyDeleteSomehow I managed to miss this commercial! So whimsical!
ReplyDeleteAt my husband's high school graduation each student in his class handed the principal a bouncy ball as he/she walked across the stage. You can imagine what that looked like after ten or so students had walked across. :)
Kate, I think bouncy balls ALWAYS make for a good prank!
ReplyDeleteThis is like an art installation! (or maybe performance art because those balls are bouncing everywhere?) Sometimes, commercials are pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteI love the lightheartedness of it all paired with the Jose Gonzales song.
What a fantastic commercial! There's almost a bittersweet feeling to it with the music - makes you want to laugh and cry all at the same time. I especially love the frog!
ReplyDeleteHaha wow, I totally missed the commercial the first time around. Brilliant!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, though!

this is sooo cool!!! how did they ploan something like that??? and not hotting the random guy? or break a car window, or if the balls don't stop bouncing.. too many questions. but I love it!!!
ReplyDeletemy boyfriend and I live in SF and he figured out where they filmed the commercial, went, found, and picked up about 20 of the balls that were still hidden in the bushes 2 years later! They are currently in a big glass jar in our house :)
ReplyDeleteI adore dots, how on earth did they make all of them bounce..and collect them afterwards?
ReplyDeleteLove this commercial! I also discovered Jose Gonzalez through this... so great!
ReplyDeleteAll I could think about when watching that commercial was how did they avoid someone losing an eye/broken windows/dents on those cars/knocking a cat out/leaving non-biodegradable plastic everywhere. I'm much to pragmatic for whimsy, I think.
ReplyDeleteSo, I don't actually suppose this may have success.
ReplyDeleteLooks so so cool, I would love also to be there.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, there is a lot of useful data here!
