Hello Fax!

Ok, so this might be the dorkiest post in Cup of Jo history, but my head is exploding with the awesomeness of the new website HelloFax. You can sign forms (with your mouse!), fill out documents, and send faxes, all online. No printers or fax machines needed. How amazing and time-saving is that?!

Thank you, HelloFax. You just added two years to my life.

  10. It's shocking to me that people still use fax machines, it seems so antiquated. It's kind of ridiculous how upset it makes me when people ask me to send a fax... why not just ask me to send you a telegram while you're at it.

P.S. Great photo choice, that's the best scene in Office Space!

I love this! What a great thing! I also just found out you can deposit checks into your bank account (only some banks?) using a smart phone - you take a pic of the check!! I love dorky technology.

  17. hehehe! Nice!

Why the hell do we still use fax machines anyway? It seems so old fashioned compared to all the mind-blowing technology we have nowadays.

  34. ok, seriously i don't care how dorky anything is if it is prefaced by that photo. that scene is quite possibly my favorite movie moment of all time. and the accompaniment of the geto boys song is perfection.

  36. Johanna & Joanna-
I've often wondered why we're still using fax machines (and voice mail, as far as I'm concerned, texting or email are way more efficient). I've been told by some investment bank people who I work with that faxes are harder to hack, therefore more secure for transmitting financial info (we do a lot of wire transfer requests). Don't know how true this is, but that's what the money ladies tell me.

  38. I wish I had known about this when we bought our house!! It was a fax machine nightmare.

  39. Thank you!
My husband and I recently moved to Canada from Australia and have had to send 1 million faxes for our banking etc. Faxes are so pointless but at least I know how to send them rather than bugging the nice ladies at the chemist.
