Hello Fax!

Ok, so this might be the dorkiest post in Cup of Jo history, but my head is exploding with the awesomeness of the new website HelloFax. You can sign forms (with your mouse!), fill out documents, and send faxes, all online. No printers or fax machines needed. How amazing and time-saving is that?!

Thank you, HelloFax. You just added two years to my life.

Super-dorky post, yes, but so helpful - I've just sent my first fax through the service, and it couldn't have been easier. Thanks!

anna, i know! i send my first one last night, about 2 minutes after discovering the site, and it was so easy. saved like 20 minutes of printing/signing/faxing/confirming/etc.!

That is so brilliant! I think fax machines have overstayed their welcome. (They never work right!) This is a way better option. Thanks for sharing!

It's shocking to me that people still use fax machines, it seems so antiquated. It's kind of ridiculous how upset it makes me when people ask me to send a fax... why not just ask me to send you a telegram while you're at it.

P.S. Great photo choice, that's the best scene in Office Space!

I love this! What a great thing! I also just found out you can deposit checks into your bank account (only some banks?) using a smart phone - you take a pic of the check!! I love dorky technology.

Johanna said...

hehehe! Nice!

Why the hell do we still use fax machines anyway? It seems so old fashioned compared to all the mind-blowing technology we have nowadays.

clementimes said...

Are people really still faxing things? Scanners, no?

Talk about timing! My co-worker and I JUST got done going all office space on an old piece of printing equipment. LOL.

Oh thank you. I've needed this & found out that I had to do another dumb download for Windows to get a fax svc. No longer.

Big sigh of relief.

This is pretty amazing - because a) who uses a fax machine if you don't work at an office? and b) I hate fax machines, they always give me attitude!

Thank you so much for this post! I constantly have to go to FedEx to print and fax contracts, so this is most helpful. (I still have to spend half my life photocopying music scores, though...)

It may be nerdy but it is seriously useful! My husband and I always complain about fax machines, this is awesome!

ok, seriously i don't care how dorky anything is if it is prefaced by that photo. that scene is quite possibly my favorite movie moment of all time. and the accompaniment of the geto boys song is perfection.

great post i say! xo

You. Are. Awesome. Our fax machine at work sucks. Thank you so much!

Johanna & Joanna-
I've often wondered why we're still using fax machines (and voice mail, as far as I'm concerned, texting or email are way more efficient). I've been told by some investment bank people who I work with that faxes are harder to hack, therefore more secure for transmitting financial info (we do a lot of wire transfer requests). Don't know how true this is, but that's what the money ladies tell me.

What a great service-- plus their advertising is genius!!

I wish I had known about this when we bought our house!! It was a fax machine nightmare.

Tara said...

Thank you!
My husband and I recently moved to Canada from Australia and have had to send 1 million faxes for our banking etc. Faxes are so pointless but at least I know how to send them rather than bugging the nice ladies at the chemist.

This is awesome! Also, love the Office Space picture. I worked in an office in Las Colinas (where the movie was filmed) and spent a year as a server at TGI Fridays. I have lived Office Space.
