Garnet Hill, is that you?
I've never really shopped at Garnet Hill (have you?), but I stumbled on their site today and was really surprised. How pretty is this trench coat ($138) and blue dot dress ($138)? I'd love to wear both of them on a seaside vacation this summer.

I love it! The polka dots, the comfy factor, and the bag are perfect together. I am loving that midis are in style because that's all I own.
I'm always surprised at how CUTE the Garnet Hill stuff is. I did a whole post on it last summer on my blog because I was drooling over just about everything in their summer catalog. But I too, have never shopped there.

I'm wearing a Garnet Hill sweater right now! Our bedspread is also from them - super cute, lightweight grey cotton with huge chenille circles. I love Garnet Hill (especially the sales!).
There are lots of great pieces at Garnet Hill. I bought a white linen tunic there last year that is one of my favorite summer staples!

Yep, bought a bed skirt from there...I was also in Franconia, NH a bit ago and my sis-in-law pointed out that they were based out of there. They have a huge store and outlet there. It's kind of a hit-or-miss place in my opinion, but that dress/trench looks lovely!

I'll speak as someone familiar with photoshoots... I think the model is wearing a coat over that dress because the dress is unflattering and the stylist stepped in to fix it.
i love garnet hill and actually have bought a couple of their dresses before! i recently got a pair of "summery" boots for my birthday too that i'd been oogling for a while!
I've loved Garnet Hill's bedding for years (they have awesome pillows too!) but I've always thought the clothes were a bit blah. However, I do think they're wising up. Case in point: this dress. SUPER sweet for summer!

I've never bought clothes from them either, but I have had sheets from them which I loved, and lusted after many many many more sets of sheets and towels and throws and whatnot. Don't know why I never paid much attention to the clothes when everything else is so damn wonderful.

They always have a fun selection of flats and sandals, and their dresses (and nightdresses!) are so easy and pretty. Don't forget the flannel sheets in the winter ( love them!).

Oh I love GH. I started shopping there a few years ago. My mom had always done so but I'd not really noticed. They have some great winter stuff later in year. Beautiful gloves, scarves, hats, etc.
And flannel sheets, yes.

My mother-in-law gave me a very generous gift card to Garnet Hill so I shopped there a lot! Love their stuff.
They have about 25 different sizes of pillow inserts so I buy bunches when they go on sale. But if you look at the clothing reviews (which I'm glad they have) there seem to be lots of issues with the sizing and fit, so I've never ordered anything to wear.
I get their catalog. I usually like some of their shoes, but noticed a lot of cute sundresses this time around.
I have two cashmere sweaters from garnet hill (just the basic cardigan) and they're amazing. they go with everything and have lasted for years while managing to look practically brand new. Much better quality than JCrew, in my opinion, which tends to pill instantly.

I just love that trench coat. I always have thought of garnet hill as a bit old school and fuddy duddy, but I am changing my view.

I have that trench coat----in a box ready to send back. It runs LARGE. Im a 5'9" 150-lb woman with broad shoulders and found the medium size to be half a size too large. I'm debating whether to trade it for a small (which has to be too small) or have it altered.
These are so pretty - but order in a smaller size. I really like the polka dot dress!
I'm a big fan of Garnet Hill. It is true that the clothes do run large so order a smaller size. If you are an Xsmall, they may not fit.

I also love the dress and Garnet Hill! Their stuff is so nice, the quality is amazing! I worked there when I was in college and miss my employee discount!! :) If you are ever in New Hampshire, they have a great outlet store there!!

I just looked at their site and I sighed and sighed! Everything is so gorgeous but with hefty prices. Too bad.
I gave my friend's 3 children each a pair of the coordinating pj's for Christmas last year. GH has the cutest patterns for kids pajamas of anywhere around - especially at Christmas...

LOVE Garnet Hill- I live about 40 min from Franconia and have been shopping there for years. They used to have a crazy blow out sale every year at their factory. We would get there at 4 in the morning and wait in line for hours- but it was sooo worth it! You could get gorgeous shoes, cashmere, quilts, lingerie, everything for about 5-20 bucks! When you were waiting in line they would hand you gigantic garbage bags for your finds and one year it was starting to rain outside- some uninitiated thought the garbage bags were for ponchos....no one told them different! It was a madhouse in there but really really fun. Afterwards it was a big meal at Polly's Pancake parlor. Good times....

I've been pleasantly surprised by them too- I bought three lovely cashmere sweaters last spring on super clearance and have worn them constantly.
I love Garnet Hill, especially their sale and clearance items. You can get really great brands at very reasonable prices.

I grew up going to the Garnet Hill tent sales at Loon Mountain in New Hampshire - we lived just 45 minutes away! I love their clothes and I'm so happy for you that you've stumbled upon them. If you get up to Sugar Hill, NH check out their outlet shop - the bedding seconds along are worth the trip.
