Have a wonderful weekend!

My darlings, what are you doing this week? We're heading to San Francisco right now! (Fingers tightly crossed that Toby sleeps on the plane.) I can't wait to see my sister, and we made dinner reservations here, here and here. (Thanks again for your tips!) Next week, I am happy to have five great guest posters. Meanwhile, have a wonderful weekend, and see you soon!

These passive-aggressive wedding notes made me laugh.

The Beatles right before crossing Abbey Road. (Remember this?)

Agreed.

A gorgeous green wedding dress.

Make your own bell bottoms.

A fascinating look at the making of this hilarious book!

What a beautiful poem to remember.

My 10 favorite natural baby products.

Plus, a few Cup of Jo posts you might have missed:
* Blondes, brunettes and redheads.
* Red lipstick trick.
* Apples and cheddar.
* Umbrella built for two.

Have loads of fun!!! I'm dying to go back... last time I was in SF, I was 9! We drove on the Golden Gate Bridge and I was half asleep, awoken by my dad shouting "WAKE UP! We're on the bridge so you'd better look at it!!!" LOL! So now when I see pics of the bridge I have to laugh :)

I liked your natural baby products list.

Have you guys considered doing cloth diapers? I started with my older son, when he was a year old, because it felt too overwhelming to do it sooner. It's worth a shot if you aren't already. The new hybrid styles are cute and easy.

Thanks for posting "Wild Geese." My favorite college professor (I took 3 of her classes) used to read that on the last day of class every semester. I graduated last week and not having heard her read it in a while, it was a pleasant surprise to see you have posted it today. Seems fitting. Thought I would share.

Dear Joanna,

I love that your blog is getting more and more "real". I love your motherhood posts. While I do enjoy all the fun things you share with us, the personal posts and hearing your views on things is wonderful. Thank you for standing up for gay marriage. This especially moved me today after I came across a young couple's blog who are traveling the world and photographing weddings and discriminating against gay people. I thought young people were getting less ignorant and it makes me so sad that I saw that. Thank you for posting that wonderful quote and as always brigtening my day.

love,
Tracy

I'm sure you already have these on your list, but just in case:
Amazing breakfast: Brenda's French soul food on Polk St.
Awesome coffee: fourbarrel on Valencia or Hooker's on Hyde.
Just plain awesome: Tartine (on the corner by Delifna)
Awesome beach: Baker Beach.
Awesome view Bernal Hill.

Happy travels!
