so cute! also, this is embarrassing...but i was waiting for a table at tartine with my friends who just got engaged and i saw you there and wanted to say hello and how much i love your blog but i was too bashful :) i also didn't want to bother you during dinner...so i thought i'd let you know now...i read your blog all the time and love everything you write about! so thanks :) xo Nicole
aw, nicole, that is so cute!!! i would have loved to meet you :) wasn't that a perfect early summer night? and tartine is so good; i always get the chicken :) thanks for your really sweet note.
Oh! I love it!! My firm is sponsoring a bike riding contest between all their locations to see who can clock the most "earth friendly" miles. I think I may need this to ride to work in.
Oh my heavens- this shirt is the best. I love it. I am sooo temped to buy it, but I already have so many bicycle t-shirts in my closet, it's bordering on ridiculous.
Yes :) I bike all the time - to school and my friends. But on my life list is taking a real biking trip here in Denmark where I live. It won't be too hard, being such a flat country with no mountains :)
love this! my boyfriend just found one at a shop the other day but it was "i (bike) KC" and we both wanted it :) we'll definetly be riding a lot this summer; he has a '76 all-blue peugeot, and i have a '62 schwinn debutante. in fact, we are going to a bike-in movie next week (they're playing ET!).
ha that's cute. i'm living in france this summer and hoping to find a spot where i can rent a bike out for a few months, to be able to get around that way.
Loving the t-shirt! I'm a new city biker and I'm so proud that I've learned how to surpass major obstacles... potholes, cars, buses etc. ;) Now I just need to shop a cute helmet. Any suggestions?
My husband and I live in Santa Monica and we don't even own bikes. I suppose this is odd since our home is blocks from the beach bike path. We can walk to everything we need (restaurants, coffee, farmer's market) but the rest (friends, family...) are far away so that requires lots of driving. LA sprawl, bleck.
But, I love this T and NY. Perhaps I will be a poser and buy it anyway.
I'm going to Spain this Summer, and love the idea of hiring bikes and biking all round Seville like a local. I think I'll probably end up looking like a sweaty tourist in the heat though, but at least it will be lots of fun!
i absolutely will! my hubby and i have a tandem & we love it! he just recently installed a vintage fold-up wire saddle-bad basket over the rear tire (so cute)! i can hardly wait for my leggs to gain cycle-endurance, ha-ha...
i've been biking in boston, but it's been a pain to carry my bike up 4 flights of stairs when it rains so i haven't brought it out as often as i'd like to
I can't believe you're posting this! My hubby and I were just in NYC last week and he bought this T @ Bicycle Habitat! I seriously thought of YOU and how much you love bikes and NYC and now here it is on your site! Love it:)
How fabulous! Here in Copenhagen, "I (bike) CPH" t-shirts have been incredibly popular for a while now. I love that casual biking is becoming more and more common in the USA as well! I couldn't live without my bike, it's an absolute necessity!!
I love this shirt and love the idea of riding a bike everywhere, but it scares me as I'm not very good at it. I can't NOT ride while I'm in Amsterdam next week though, so I'll cross my fingers I don't fall into a canal!
I don't bike, but I love the idea. Last time I was on a bike (apart from in a spinning class!) was touring the vienyards of Tuscany...much harder than my romantic idea of it!! Love the Tee :)
I would like to thank you for the efforts you have made in writing this post. I am hoping the same best work from you in the future as well. In fact your creative writing abilities have inspired me to start my own Blog Engine blog now.
my family + i ride our bikes all summer long (and when the weather allows during the year). we live in the outskirts of town so we have a lot of countryside to ride out in. i imagine sometimes what it would be like to ride in a busy city like nyc- it would be exciting, but a lot to get used to!
I live in Manhattan with my husband and toddler son. Here's my portfolio website with magazine writing and branding work. For two years, I was the relationships blogger for Glamour Magazine, and now I blog for Conde Nast Traveler, as well. Follow me on Twitter or Pinterest. Please feel free to email me (hellojoannagoddard at gmail) if you'd like to advertise on Cup of Jo.
A Cup of Jo is a blog that I work on full-time to help support my family and young son. Without exception, A Cup of Jo's daily posts feature only products I genuinely recommend, and frequently use for myself and my family. Read on if you would like details about how I'm able to fund my work. A Cup of Jo features banner advertising, and my rates are set with small businesses in mind. Many of my sponsors come about organically, since they're brands or companies that I've always loved. A Cup of Jo sometimes includes affiliate links within certain posts, which means that we may make a small commission if a product is purchased through the blog. Of course, a reader would never pay more for a product; it's a branding relationship directly between the brand and me. Rarely (a few times a year), I allow sponsored posts, as long as they're a natural and positive fit with the blog; please be assured that I mark these posts clearly for my readers. As a final note, I sometimes feature my sponsors within round-ups, link lists or gift guides, but only when it's an organic fit and only when I would have included them even if they weren't sponsors; this editorial inclusion is never paid for. Please feel free to email me at hellojoannagoddard (at) gmail (dot) com if you have any questions at all. After more than five years of blogging, I feel truly connected with my readers, and my relationship with these incredible men and women is my top priority and, honestly, one of the great joys of my life. Thank you so much for visiting!

so cute! ready for spring/summer in the city.
Oh yes yes. But my bike (Flying Pigeon) only has one gear and Ann Arbor is a pretty hilly town. So I might have to get a new one or massive thighs...
Very cute! And yes! We will most definitely have to break out the bikes again soon...the weather has been absolutely gorgeous lately!
We have a bike chariot for our kids...so fun! Love this shirt!
Adorable! I will be riding my bikes all summer! check them out here...

perfect post for national bike month :)
love it. just need an 'i bike boston' tee. really is the best way to get around a city as long as you watch out for buses...
I want it!!
(but first I have to fix my byke!)
;-)
Going to have to get one for my son who lives in NYC!
ha that's cute. i'm living in france this summer and hoping to find a spot where i can rent a bike out for a few months, to be able to get around that way.
That is pretty flipping awesome. Plus, the tee itself looks like perfect cozy, comfortable quality. Wish they made a LA or LB one.
Hoping to ride our bikes more this summer. Currently looking for the best kids seats for 2 and 4 yr. old. Know any?
Loving the t-shirt! I'm a new city biker and I'm so proud that I've learned how to surpass major obstacles... potholes, cars, buses etc. ;) Now I just need to shop a cute helmet. Any suggestions?
Love this T. This could be my official single speed cycling jersey!

Happenstance, yes! our friends recommend the wee ride kangaroo seat -- it's supposed to be awesome.
I'm going to Spain this Summer, and love the idea of hiring bikes and biking all round Seville like a local. I think I'll probably end up looking like a sweaty tourist in the heat though, but at least it will be lots of fun!
bikes are being tuned up at the shop this very moment.
I live in the Los Angeles area and I have so enjoyed taking my bike out on daily rides especially this last week - gorgeous weather! xxoo :)
I will definitely be spending some time on my bike. love this t.

Bikes? no.
Rollerblades? yesssss.
Oh, I love that! My boyfriend and I love riding bikes. He's also going to be spending the summer interning in NYC. It's perfect!

I ride my bike daily to and from class and it won't stop when summer rolls around! It's so rejuvenating and keeps me in a good mood.
Hi Joanna,
I love this T-shirt!
I just participated in the Five Boro Bike tour this past Sunday.
My bike is in need of repair, and after three failed attempts of finding a bike/repair shop I could trust ... I thought of asking you.
I would be most grateful if I could have one or two recommendations in NYC?
Thank you!
Georgette

I must buy this ASAP! I live in Chelsea and biking along the Hudson River Park in the summer is great!
I wish I could bike during the summer but here in Arizona it's way too hot! I'd melt :)
Just bought one for my boyfriend .. the guys at the bike shop (where the t-shirt is sold) are SO nice.
Thats lovely...!!! One for me please...!!
