Bicycle wedding

Pam and Joe are teachers in Brooklyn and didn't have a huge budget, but they put together the most gorgeous, heartfelt wedding. First they tied the knot at a neighborhood park, then rode bikes to a Brooklyn bar, where they'd had their first date. (Pam's biking secret? She wore denim cutoffs under her dress! Can you spot them, above?:)
Everyone drank beers and smashed a pinata...
...and they had whoopie pies instead of wedding cake.
Doesn't it look great? Sometimes the simplest weddings look the most relaxed and fun, don't you think? Congratulations, Pam and Joe! (See many more photos here.)

  42. when you're on a tight budget and you don't let it stop you, the results can end up more beautiful than even the most expensive wedding! i'd rather see a couple put their hearts and souls (and crafty fingers) into a wedding, rather than throw money at it. this wedding looks gorgeous & heartfelt, and all the little details are so cute & fun!

  46. it's so fun to have bicycle as our ride at the wedding. last sunday, my cousin held his wedding and he rode a big old motorcycle made in UK as his ride. though it's very hot (since it's 1 p.m), the couple still looked happy :)which do you prefer then? bicycles or motorcycle? :)

    @S.E. "Super adorable, but..HELMETS?? c'mon kids, you're even teachers to boot :)"

    You need to get over the whole helmets save lives garbage. They do not. If you are serious about keeping cyclists safe, campaign for separate bike paths. Have a look at what the do in the Netherlands. Making cyclists share the road with fast moving traffic and then going on about helmets is not the way to keep them safe.
