My friend Alison came over yesterday and smelled like a field of wild roses and pink peonies. Her secret? Chloe Chloe perfume. The scent was light, romantic and just perfect. I'm going to head over to Sephora and pick up this little rollerball version today.

I love Miss Dior Cherie, Marc Jacobs Daisy, and my favorite is Chance Chanel (the original). XO Jill
ReplyDeleteDuring the wintertime I wear Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb and in the summer I've been wearing Acqua di Gioa.
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of the Chloe Chloe perfume though, I may have to go get one of the roller balls as well!
MuffinLovesBiscuit
I just around a lot, this week I'm obsessed with Elizabeth W's Sweet Tea.
ReplyDeleteWhat I would like to get is Chanel No. 5 and I will certainly check out Chloe.
ReplyDeleteI am a Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue gal - and have been for years now. It is almost part of me.
ReplyDeleteMuch love,
B
Stella by Stella McCartney. I've worn it for a long time now. My other favorite (because it smells like college to me) is TommyGirl.
ReplyDeletejust got OLO's lightning paw. delicious.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds Heavenly!
ReplyDeleteI love Stella, Argent Provocateur and Jo Malone-Red Roses.
x
Actually, I wear Chloé, as well. But I also wear Green Tea and Jasmine by L'Occitane. I loooooove it.
ReplyDelete"my" scent is Gap's Om, which I've been wearing since high school, but I still love it. it's soft and musky and woodsy. it was discontinued long, long ago, but I occasionally find bottles at Gap outlets and I by them all!
ReplyDeletethought lately, I've been wearing vetiver oil and I love how the smell changes throughout the day.
Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue. It's lovely. I've been wearing it for years now. People say they recognize me for my scent. It's a nice complement. However, you made the Chloe sound delightful. I may decide to mix it up!
ReplyDeleteBurberry Brit Sheer. It's subtle, floral, and fresh-smelling. I have commitment issues with perfume, so I bought the rollerball version at first, but I loved it so much I bought the biggest bottle they sold.
ReplyDeletephilosophy amazing grace is so fresh and amazing. it smells like you just took a spin in the dryer with a few dryer sheets!
ReplyDeleteI have worn Nina Ricci's Premier Jour for almost ten years now (bought my first bottle at 18). I always get compliments and men go gaga. I've actually been stopped a few times.
ReplyDeleteI always thought perfume was too expensive. I've always used body sprays.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure the difference, but I know perfume is stronger than most body spray?
I'm really not a perfume girl, so I tend to go for super light scents. My favorite right now? "Light Blue" by D&G. I only buy it in the small samples (lasts me forever), so I never have to splurge.
ReplyDeleteAnnick Goutal Gardenia Passion/L'eau d'Hadrien...
ReplyDeleteand L'Occitane Neroli
Once in awhile I squirt on L'Air du Temps to feel like I'm still a springy chicken. (kitten)
No wonder I can't pay Verizon this month. whoa
My husband bought me Thierry Mugler's Alien. Funny name but AMAZING smell! I've never been a perfume girl but I love it!
ReplyDeleteI wear Burberry (the original one) which I adore, but it seems too deep for the summer this year. I used to be an Annick Goutal Petite Cherie summertime gal, but that seems to wispy right now. Chloe Chloe sounds like a great middle ground!
ReplyDeleteNow - Tom Ford's White Patchouli (and the bottle is beautiful)
ReplyDeleteRecently - Hanae Mori's Magical Moon and YSL's Elle, both of which are lovely.
I usually have two sets of scents: musky and floral- my favorite is Angel by Thierry Mugler- but he just came out with Womanity (smells like orange trees in blossom with a little moroccan spice) which is SCRUMPTIOUS- a kind of lighter version of Angel (if patchouli isnt your thing) my husband loves it on me and when i smell it on other women i follow them around (kind of embarrassing but true.) if i want to go light i'll wear marc jacobs (smells like fresh flowers) or hanae mori (smells like poppy seed cake).
ReplyDeleteMost of the time, I wear this simple vanilla perfume from France that my husband special orders for me (he knows how to make a girl happy!). In the warmed months, I love Kiehl's Amber roll-on, or a simpe lilac perfume that's made at a small shop in the Finger Lakes (of NYS, where I grew up). I like to keep it simple.
ReplyDeleteOnce, I decided I needed a "name brand" perfume, but couldn't decide if I was more of a Chanel or Burberry girl, so I just gave up. All about personal branding!! :-)
Coco Chanel - it makes me feel pretty and feminine even on a bad hair day. I also love Romance by Ralph Lauren and L'eau par Kenzo as a summery scent:)I think it smells like freshly cut grass and cucumbers.
ReplyDeleteI wear DKNY Pure,it's feminine, light, clean and perfect for spring...
ReplyDeletei'll have to check out chloe chloe...by your description it sounds delicious!
I just smelled this and it's lovely! I also recently bought Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline for Spring and LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteOne of my all time favorite perfume brands is Tokyomilk and they just came out with some new and amazing scents.
The Cheeky Cafe
I have a few- J'adore by Dior is my standard. Kenneth Cole's Black is an oldie, but a goodie that I like to take out on occassion. Guerlain Agua Alegoria perfumes are wonderful. My newest favorite is Vera Wang's The Fragrance.
ReplyDeleteCerruti 1881
ReplyDeleteChanel Coco Mademoiselle for me! I think it smells better as the day goes on :) I also like Philosophy's scent: Unconditional Love.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of my bath & body works sheer freesia body spray. They no longer have that scent, but I luckily stocked up on the spray before they got rid of that line! The light floral scent is subtle and refreshing, which is why I love it so much.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like such a pretty scent. I just got myself a new Lush solid Olive perfume. Its really fresh and perfect for spring. Have a lovely day, Joanna:) Kisses
ReplyDeletethese suggestions are so great! can't wait to check them out!! (and anonymous, this isn't at ad!! i do some work for beso, so i sometimes link through them, as a way to show which stores carry the perfume, but i'm not advertising the perfume! i have no connection to chloe or sephora at all. i'm just recommending the scent and starting a discussion about others!)
ReplyDeleteI wear Estee' Lauder's White Linen. I've worn it for years! Before that it was Le Sport. {I don't even remember who made it!} But it went out of business. That's how loyal I am!! "Come on White Linen, stay with me!!" LOL
ReplyDeleteI have worn Clique Happy Heart since I was 16. I love it.
ReplyDeleteHave loved Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey forever. It's so delicious. I keep thinking I'll grow out of it, but it hasn't happened yet. I have a similar relationship with Bvlgari BLV. Makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteI had a slightly awkward ladies room moment when I smelled Marc Jacobs for women for the first time. I couldn't help but blurt out "You smell amazing! What is that??" The totally weirded out (and ever so chicly put together) woman responded "It's just Marc Jacobs lotion."
ReplyDeleteI bought a set that day. And still love it. And the lotion is better than the spray...worth the wierdness. No biggie.
miranda, that is so funny! and weird about the lotion--i want to try it today, too!!
ReplyDeleteMarc Jacobs. It smells like Hawaii to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Heavenly by Victoria's Secret - it's subtle & lovely, and I've been wearing it for years!
ReplyDeleteCoco Mademoiselle (I've had it since I was 16!) and Prada's Infusion de Iris.
ReplyDeleteI've been loving Coco Mademoiselle and Burberry London lately. At the moment I am using the Dolce and Gabana The One, but only at night.
ReplyDeletexo C.
I love YSL's parisienne. It's has the perfect balance of floral and sultry.
ReplyDeletei've heard such great things about Coco Mademoiselle!
ReplyDeleteOnly Jo Malone. Always Jo Malone. Currently lime blossom.
ReplyDeleteAnnie
i wear Chloe Chloe as well... i'm obsessed with it and all you need is one spritz. i get a good amount of compliments on it as well. it's very earthy, feminine and sensual i think.
ReplyDeletei'm also a huge fan of burberry summer and brit.
i usually use one for a year and switch to another and so forth, so i never get tired of them.
I LOVE Calvin Klein In2u. I have worn this for years and it never gets old. It smells like summer and spicy enough to wear during winter.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.amazon.com/Calvin-Klein-Women-Toilette-Spray/dp/B0012RSWQ4
I also blogged about this perfume!
http://thehippinista.blogspot.com/2011/03/few-of-my-favorite-things.html
I'm really sensitive to smells and most perfumes bother me. But I really wish they didn't! I'm really allergic (intolerant?) to Bath & Body Works; I get hives and sneeze horribly if I'm even in the same room. You'd be surprised how many people use Bath & Body. :(
ReplyDeleteI just use pure/natural honeysuckle oil. You can buy a small spray bottle and dilute it with water, if you feel you must spray. Otherwise, I put a little on the normal perfume spots. I think it may be a natural antibiotic, too? It smells fresh and identifiable to me; not overpowering for sensitive people. (And I think it smells divine.) :)
Stella Rose Absolute by Stella McCartney. It's actually discontinued, but I love it so much more than the original Stella that I tracked down a tester of it on ebay! I think it's the perfect blend of roses, sweetness, and warmth...oh how I wish they would start making it again!
ReplyDeletegretchen, that's fascinating!
ReplyDeleteOre by Zents.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.zents.com/edt_ore.shtml
It's slightly masculine and super sexy. xo.
I'm a Chanel Number 5 girl... I love how classic it is.
ReplyDeleteAnother favorite scent is L'Heure Bleue from Guerlain. My very classy French grandmother wears it and it always makes me happy when I smell it.
I love how scents can be a window into your favorite memories!
Coach Poppy!!
ReplyDeleteChanel's Coco Mademoiselle...I will never, ever wear anything else!
ReplyDeleteI don't really wear much perfume - it's kind of expensive! - but my mother has a perfume called Marjolaine or something similar that smells of lemon and elegance...
ReplyDeletewindeater.blogspot.com
I wear a Kenzo travel edition scent called 5:40 p.m. in Madagascar. It can only be found at airports - I love that certain exclusivity, and it always reminds me of travelling!
ReplyDeleteI just discovered you blog! I love it! Spending much time at work catching up ;) I still love Angel. It's been my goto scent since 1999.
ReplyDeleteRight now I wear Close by The Gap. My boyfriend bought me a sample and I love it, it's really affordable too. I also love Viva La Juicy, my roommate wears it.
ReplyDeleteI love Jo Malone scents. My two favorite are Lime Basil & Mandarin and Orange Blossom. So clean and refreshing!
ReplyDeleteI have come back to Versace Woman repeatedly over the last 12 years... it's such a unique and charming scent!
ReplyDeleteaw, welcome, wendy!!
ReplyDeleteI had a similar awkward moment walking into a hotel lobby restroom, and the woman at the sink smelled the best ever! Turns out it was actually the air freshener the hotel used in their restrooms. Ooops.
ReplyDeleteI just found a new favorite that I wear everyday now: Balenciaga Paris. It's hard to find perfumes that I like and can actually wear without getting headaches, and I absolutely adore this.
Banana Republic's Alabaster!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently wearing Terre D'Hermes, which is actually a men's fragrance, but I think (hope!) I can pull it off! It's not too manly, I don't think. It's delicious.
ReplyDeleteI have been using Burberry Brit for about a year and a half and it is now my forever scent. I have never gotten so many compliments!!! It is a great scent.
ReplyDeletejust the right question!
ReplyDeletePenhaligon's Lavandula is my classic scent; Burberry Summer--for summer, and i'm on the verge of adopting Bulgari's green tea...
I love D&G Light Blue, Ralph Lauren Romance, Twirl by Kate Spade, and Mademoiselle by Chanel.
ReplyDeletePerfume is romantically sexy! I love wearing it.
Marc Jacobs Daisy! They also have it in the little roller bottles, which are perfect for gym bags and makeup pouches, by the way. That way you can re-apply after work, before a date!
ReplyDeleteMy boss (whom I adore) actually gave me this scent for Christmas one year, which is a really odd thing for a boss to give! Perfume feels so personal! However, I was pleased as punch that she thought of me when smelling it that I've worn it for 2 years now. Love it-- so light and summery!
Burberry Michael Kors have been staples.
ReplyDeleteNow loving for Spring, DKNY Pure and a sample I got from Sephora called Boyfriend (a bit musky but light)
Body by Victoria ...yum, like butta.. but I wouldn't go spreading it on bread or anything.
ReplyDeleteMy tried and true is Philosophy's Amazing Grace, it is a soft floral, very light but not grassy at all, and Giucci Flora, which to me smells like is I brushed up against a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, I usually wear this when I am dressing up or in the evenings.
ReplyDeleteI am a longtime wearer of Chanel's Chance perfume...and probably always will be. It's my absolute favorite.
ReplyDeleteI wear Heavenly by Victoria's Secret. It's a sweet fragrance I got as a gift for my bachelorette party and I've stuck with it since! : )
ReplyDeletetrish mcevoy no. 9 (blackberry and vanilla musk)- usually just the lotion. sounds weird, but smells so good!
ReplyDeletei lovelovelove this line of scents: http://www.olofragrance.com/
ReplyDeletenationale 6/7 + violet/leather are my faves, and the best part is that you can layer the scents to create your own.
A Philosophy girl here. Amazing Grace when you just want to smell clean and Falling in Love when you feel a bit romantic. Fun post! Hugs, judi
ReplyDeleteAll of the Tocca scents are lovely! I'm partial to Stella and Florence, but they're all unique in their own ways. I also love that they have solid perfumes, which are great to take on the go.
ReplyDeleteI had the same experience with a fragrance, I smelled it on a friend and ordered it online the next day. It's Fragonard, but the major downside is that it's only available online through the distributor in Paris. I cannot complain though, as I work for Sephora and can wear a different perfume daily. Enjoy your rollerball!
ReplyDeleteJess
Gucci ll for a while now. Also love a discontiued scent from abercrombie and fitch, signature. Only can find it on ebay.
ReplyDeleteCan wait to go check out Chloe.
I adore Jo Malone's Fig & Cassis. My husband buys it for me!
ReplyDeleteI love roses and peonies, so I'll have to check that out next time I'm at Sephora. My go-to scents are from Philosophy- Amazing Graze and Pure Graze. Sometimes when I'm feeling like something stronger I wear Jo Malone's Lime, Basil, and Mandarin.
ReplyDeletesadly I don't have a go-to perfume. I worked for years in a no-scent office and got used to not wearing any scents. I have started a new job and this post helped me decide what I will ask for on my birthday next month! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteformerly mimosa by calypso and now kai...two sides of the same coin. i love kai-so so fresh and light - anything that reminds me of magnolias!
ReplyDeleteEgyptian Goddess by Auric Blends! Also a rollerball.
ReplyDeletevery hollywood, michael kors
ReplyDeletesuch a cliche since i'm a wannabe actress. it just smells SO good!
hmmm that sounds delicious! I may have to go test it out!
ReplyDeleteMichael Kors - hands down my fave for years...
ReplyDeleteI wear Nina by Nina Ricci for nights out and green tea daily use. I also just discovered the scent by Jacob (Canadian retailer)which smells divine.
ReplyDeletei really hate wearing a scent, and don't particular like smelling them either - they all just smell fake to me. occasionally a gentle scented lotion will smell nice. luckily my husband (and a lot of other men i know, for that matter) don't like a perfumed woman. the only "not me" scent my husband responds to is a little dab of vanilla behind the ears.
ReplyDeleteMy holy grail is Timbuktu by L'Artisan Parfumeur. It's a little woodsy, a little green, and a little odd, but it just disarms me.
ReplyDeleteFor a floral, I find it hard to beat Annick Goutal's Neroli. To me, it's greener and less cloying than most florals.
Others I love: Serge Lutens Gris Clair (or Daim Blond), Comme des Garcons Ouarzazate, Clinique Aromatics Elixir, Cote Bastide Lin and good old Acqua di Parma.
If you haven't read it, check out Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez's "Perfumes" book. It's a rollicking good read.
I love the Gwen Stefani one. Its spelled Harajuku. So good!
ReplyDeleteAn original blend of L'Air du Temps, Eau de German Shepherd with a subtle hint of acrylic paint that I usually miss after washing up ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing Burberry (original) for years now, so I guess it's my signature scent! I love it!
ReplyDeletei love light, fruity scents. i actually just picked up dkny "be delicious" today!
ReplyDeleteMiyan
www.miyan-overseas.blogspot.com
i used to only wear Burberry Brit (and still love it - although my kitty recently smashed my entire bottle. sad face). while living in Florence Italy, a friend (who also happened to be a stunning Italian model) turned me on to the original Chanel Chance. i haven't found anything better and always get asked what i'm wearing...especially by guys! Chloe Chloe sounds lovely though!
ReplyDeleteI wear White Musk Perfume Oil from The Body Shop. My childhood best friend's mom wears it all the time and it's just lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love fresh, fruity scents. Sadly, my favorites have been discontinued -- Fresh Pomegranate Anise and Chloe Innocence. I am still working on my last bottles but will need to find a new scent soon. I also like some of the Jo Malone scents, but nothing has become a signature scent like Pomegranate Anise and Innocence are for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Chanel Chance girl myself. I always think to change my scent but it gets so many comments that I quickly change my mind!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually kind of picky about perfume scents. And the ones I do fall in love with are usually too pricey and I can't justify spending money on perfume that could be spent on shoes :) BUT what I've been wearing for a while now, and is very affordable is Sexy Little Things from VS.
ReplyDeleteI wear Bath by Bobbi Brown. I love that fresh clean soap & water smell. Its subtly sexy without overpowering.
ReplyDeleteJust started wearing Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien. Just love it when it's layered with the body cream.
ReplyDeleteCaroline
www.beauty-full.net
I like to mix it up but today I'm wearing "Gucci Guilty". I love Burberry, Dolce & Gabana, Versace, J'adore by Dior.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty addicted to the 'i hate perfume' scents, because it's true, most perfume smells like chemical soup to me.
ReplyDeletemy current favorites are:
'in the library' (musky!) http://www.cbihateperfume.com/in-the-library.html
&
'russian caravan' (mysterious, smokey!)
http://www.cbihateperfume.com/russian-caravan-tea.html
I'm sort of afraid I'll sound like I'm 15 if I admit to this.. but I wear Victoria's Secret "very sexy" and love it. ha.
ReplyDeleteI have been wearing Burberry Brit red for a few years now. I am thinking it is time to find a new scent though.
ReplyDeletehttp://lachapstickfanatique.blogspot.com
I love love love Hanae Mori Butterfly. YUM.
ReplyDeleteoh, and i forgot to add: each scent comes with a very charming story!
ReplyDeletefrom 'in the library':
"But before I begin to read to the children, I always take a moment to open the book and encourage them to take a whiff. I hope for them, as it has been for me, this smell will mark the beginning of a long and wondrous journey. "
l'occitane's fleur cherie is wonderful. light feeling but strong enough it lingers so you want more.
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing LANVIN's Eclat D'Arpege. (its the purple sphere bottle) Every time i spray it on, I'm like AHHH then HAPPY FACE!
ReplyDeleteIt's a blend of Sicilian Lemon Leaves, Lilac Green, Wisteria Flowers, Green Tea Flowers, Peach Flowers, Red Peony,White Cedar of Lebanon
I wear a scent from the Fragonard perfume factory near Nice. It's called Miranda and it's the only perfume I've EVER liked! If you prefer a lighter scent during the day, this is perfect to wear at night. So sexy!
ReplyDeleteChannel Chance! I cant get enough of it. :)
ReplyDeletefresh citron de vigne! i get the rollerball version so it's more subtle.
ReplyDeletei first bought it for a friend who lives abroad, to give to her as a gift when i visited. the woman working at the fresh store predicted "you are going to come back and get this for yourself". i thought, "nah, i don't even wear perfume", but she was right! i had purchased the candle, soap, and perfume, and packed it in my luggage. it made everything in my suitcase smell so amazing that when i got home i did go back and buy it for myself!
I don't usually shop for clothes at Abercrombie, but I LUV the Abercrombie Ready perfume. It smells sooo pretty -- to bad they aren't making it anymore :(
ReplyDeleteI also luuuuuuuuv the marc jacobs original perfume, and daisy is pretty good too!
Burberry, Marc Jacobs Daisy and Chanel Chance are in my current rotation. <3
ReplyDeleteI wear Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely. It's sweet but not stinky like I find so many perfumes to be. And most importantly, my husband loves it. He bought me my first full bottle for his first Christmas present to me. (I had been using a bottle of the lotion a friend gave to me before that.)
ReplyDeleteThe only perfume I've ever gotten came two Augusts ago. It's Velocity from Mary Kay. I wouldn't mind trying a new one soon...
ReplyDeleteeveryone loves chanel chance!!
ReplyDeleteI wore White Musk Perfume Oil from the Body Shop in high school and it drove my then-boyfriend crazy! So I always keep a bottle around when I want to feel that innocent, 16-year old kind of sexy. :)
ReplyDeleteI also like Stella, Prada Infusion d'Iris, and Jo Malone.
I love wearing Ambra di Venezia all season long. And, Eau d'Hadrien a few weeks in the summer. :)
ReplyDeleteThe original Chloe is my signature. I've also long been a fan of Marc Jacobs and Issey Miyake. Lately I've been loving Stella McCartney too.
ReplyDeletexx Vivian @ http://diamondsandtulle.blogspot.com
For whatever reason I'm really sensitive to perfume. I.e. that spooky weirdo who's changing places in the restaurant because of the strong smell of cheap essential oils in one perfume is probably me. I had really hard time picking something that I could wear all day. But now I have even too - Annick Goutal's Petite Cherie (which also has an edition in a roll on, just like that Chloe) and Byredo's Fantastic man.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear it, but every time I am at a perfume counter or at Sephora I open a bottle of Chanel No. 5 and close my eyes while I smell it. Aah...that was my grandmother's scent.
ReplyDeletei'm a party pooper--after working in research in a children's environmental health center and learning about phthalates and other endocrine disruptors, i stopped wearing all fragrances! yep, i'm neurotic :) my old time fave though was issey miyake and various demeter fragrances which came in fun scents like freshly mowed lawn and cookie dough!
ReplyDeleteChanel No. 5 as it was a present, but my all time favourite is Chanel No. 19.
ReplyDeleteI also have a bottle of Hermes waiting for me next (another present) but once that's gone I will be buying some No. 19.....
I always used to wear Vera Wang's signature scent. It's floral and there is something innocent about it. I still wear it but have mixed it up a little bit and got Dior Addict. It's super sexy/sultry and is really different for me. I also wear D&G Light Blue--it's nice, light, citrusy, and summery.
ReplyDeleteI love perfumes! I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to that. I like to switch out my summer and winter scents. Currently I'm rotating between Chanel Allure, Marc Jacobs Fig, Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean, and Crabtree and Evelyn Spider Lily.
ReplyDeleteMy new current favorite, though, is Boyfriend by Kate Walsh. The scent is just gorgeous - it's the combination of what your boyfriend's cologne smells like lingering with your perfume. It's sensual and comforting. I highly recommend it!
I have a serious relationship with Armani Code.
ReplyDeleteBut, I've been known to stray a little with Rihannas scent, Reb’l Fleur.
aint no shame in my game!
it used to be Amarige for women by Givenchy - when my hubs and I were dating his friends always used to say it smelled like "hot damn"! they loved it....
ReplyDeletethen it was Ralph Lauren Blue for a while...
then this Christmas I received the Chanel No5 gift set and have been enjoying that -
I like your description of Chloe Chloe, and that it is a rollerball, to be able to keep in the purse to "freshen up" at the end of a long work day before going out! I will to check that out this weekend!
My favie is Euphoria by Calvin Klein. It is so sexy and musky(somthing my natual body composition works wells with) and men, including my husband, always swoon for it. I got the limited edition spring tempataion for my wedding day because it was a lighter twist on my classic scent. Now when ever I wear it I think of walking down the aisle.... ah memories!
ReplyDeleteLoving Marc Jacobs Daisy and he new Jimmy Choo fragarence. So beautiful :-)
ReplyDeleteI like Lacoste Touch of Pink
ReplyDeleteand Tommy Girl!
I've been wearing Chanel Mademoiselle and Magnolia Blossom (from Bath & Body works, although it's discontinued now) for years, but I think I need something new. Maybe I'll check out the Chloe Chloe! It sounds right up my alley.
ReplyDeletei actually wear chloe exclusively. love love love it.
ReplyDeleteJ'adour and Amor Amor are my favorite. (:
ReplyDeleteLight Blue is a good one but my favorite is Daisy by Marc Jacobs!
ReplyDeleteI wear Michael Kors...it smells like white gardenia and honey suckle :) Yum!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Sud Pacific brand that is made in France. I wear the apricot in the day and the mocha at night. The Jo Malone perfumes are also really light and fresh smelling.
ReplyDeleteClinique Happy and Japanese Cherry Blossoms from Bath and Bodyworks.
ReplyDeleteI recently bought as a birthday present for myself Coco Mademoiselle. I don't know why I didn't try it sooner! I've worn it every day for the last 2 months. I definitely want to branch out and try other Chanel perfumes now.
ReplyDeleteMy old favorites are Calvin Klein's Euphoria (I always get the best compliments when I wear this) and Eternity, an oldie but goodie.
i might have to go grab one of these too! my old standby is "falling in love" by philosophy. i had it on the night i met my husband and her to this day recognizes the scent every time i wear it. :)
ReplyDeleteChanel Gardenia!! It's absolutely lovely!
ReplyDeleteFresh Sugar Lychee ! The best.
ReplyDeletei love narciso rodriguez on other people but it makes me sick when i wear it, like most perfumes. the only ones i've found i can wear are philosykos by diptyque and iris nobile by acqua di parma.
ReplyDeletei wear chanel chance (my fancy perfume!), stella by stella mccartney (smells like roses!), and my latest obsession, ysl parisienne (soooo elegant!).
ReplyDeleteChanel Chance eau de parfum during the fall, winter and spring. Hermes Jardin sur le Nil in the summer!
ReplyDeletei have worn "flower by kenzo" since my mom bought me a bottle in 7th grade. (i did have a Gap Grass phase as I'm sure most of us did in middle school...) it is perfectly light, powdery, and floral. i am constantly complimented! it's so easy to wear...
ReplyDeletei love bvlgari and chanel.. two classics!
ReplyDeleteI love Bond No. 9 (signature scent). It's almost unisex. A little musky, not floral or sweet at all. I think it's delicious.
ReplyDeleteit's so hard for me to stick to a perfume! i love flirty, floral perfumes, I love vanilla-y, warm perfumes, and i love bright, citrusy ones. i'm always looking for the perfect one, so I will have to go try out chloe chloe!
ReplyDeletehow do you guys pick a perfume? is it based on a fond memory or association? (my mother smells like jasmine), or on the pretty bottle, or even the designer? (Everything Marc Jacobs= lovely). I'd love to know!
Chloe is my go to scent! It's so perfect. One spritz lasts all day and it just gets better and better.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoy Burberry Brit.
L by Gwen Stafani is my favorite, and Beach by Bobbi Brown makes me happy too.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with the Oiseau perfume line at Anthropologie, I have three of their scents, with my current favorite being "the charmer." They're sweet, subtle and affordable. PLUS I love perfume bottles and I think these ones look so sweet sitting on a vanity.
ReplyDeleteI wear Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, Marc Jacobs Daisy, or Gwen Stefani's "G." They're all technically summer scents that I wear year-round. My old go-to winter scents were Elizabeth Arden Red Door (which when I smell it reminds of me of Christmas) or BCBG Girls Sexy.
ReplyDeleteI actually wear Chloe too! its the best =) smells like heaven!
ReplyDeletelately, it's Annick Goutal's Ninfeo Mio; I love the woodsy, citrusy, lightly floral scent!
ReplyDeleteMAC has a really great summer scent called "Turquatic." I've been using it for years. It's light and fresh! Great if you like clean perfumes. xo
ReplyDeleteI refuse to buy perfume because of animal testing. But I do wear lavender oil. It smells soooo good, its natural and its also very calming. It also changes its scent slightly with each person. I get so many compliments.
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with Marc Jacobs "Basil", and thankfully the bottle is gigantic enough to fill that obsession.
ReplyDeleteI love the D&G Light Blue but sometimes it's a little overpowering and I start sneezing at myself.
ReplyDeleteSo lately I've picked up Thunderstorm by Demeter. It literally smells like dirt and grass. I love it. But I love all things earthy tasting and smelling, like beets and brussel sprouts. :)
I've always worn Light Blue from D&G, but I recently picked up the rollerball version of Twirl from Kate Spade. It is fresh, flirty and perfect for spring :)
ReplyDeletehttp://stripetastic.tumblr.com/
stella by stella mcartney!
ReplyDeleteTokyo Milk: Dead Sexy
ReplyDeleteArmani Code. Awesomeness. But I also wear the Moroccan Rose body mist by The Body Shop, when I want to smell like a field of roses :)
ReplyDeleteI'll try out Chloe Chloe too, looks like my kind of a perfume!
Oh and also the Lemon Verbena solid perfume from L'occitane. Love, love, love!!
ReplyDeleteI love wear either L'Aromarine Oceane or Clinique Happy - but I'm longing for bottles of Salvatore Ferragamo Incanto Shine or Chanel Chance... they are just so lovely!
ReplyDeleteSome of CB I Hate Perfume's scents sound so, so cool...can't wait to get to a store so I can sniff before I decide which one to drop $60 on.
ReplyDeleteRalph Lauren Blue Sport. Amazing scent!
ReplyDeleteI love perfume but I'm in love with my favorite's one : 5 de Chanel but it must be in "eau première". It's a bit "fainter" (not sur it's the right word in english...).
ReplyDeleteWhen one of my neighborings said to me one morning : "Oh you smell so good. Every day, I say to my husband : Miss Aditha is gone to work. The hallway is smelling fine", I was so happy !! One of the greatest compliment ever ! :-))
most days i spray miss dior cherie l'eau into my hair before work. it lingers just enough to give me a whiff of happy throughout the day. when i'm craving summer (like right now) i skip the perfume and just use my bobbi brown 'beach' body oil moisturizing and kind of smells like a pretty sunscreen and ocean!
ReplyDeleteI love rose based scents too! But not when they're too sweet. Juliette Has a Gun's Miss Charming is the perfect example. It's my fave. XO Valerie

I wear Grass by Gap every single day...
ReplyDeleteDuring the winter it gives me hope of spring/summer and during spring/summer it makes me feel as if I'm always sitting on my front porch with a glass of iced tea and wiggling my bare toes.
Fun and inexpensive!
aditha, that is SO sweet!
ReplyDeleteI wear Calvin Klein's Beauty and I adore the smell.
ReplyDeleteTom Ford Black Orchid. It's been a constant for years now!
ReplyDeleteTruth- Calvin Klein for Men :P It makes me feel strong and girly at the same time
ReplyDeleteI've never much been one for perfume, but I recently fell in love with CoCo Mademoiselle from Chanel!
ReplyDeleteBenefit's Something About Sophia. I love it! I also like CK's Euphoria.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved Banana Republic Classic scent. It smells refreshing and evokes wonderful memories - when my then boyfriend (now fiance) and I are still in the getting-to-know stage! :)
ReplyDelete1) YSL Paris (feminine)
ReplyDelete2) Bvlgari for women (classic)
3) Gucci Rush (sexy)
I will only put Ralph Lauren's Romance on...awwwwwwwwwwww....I could literally bathe in that scent (of course I don't)...
ReplyDelete:)
I finally buckled after years of repeatedly smelling the adds in fahsion magazines, and splurged on a bottle of Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb. Love it. I wish I would've just bought one a long time ago. Origins makes this ginger scent too that I LOVED. It was so natural and light but distinct. In high school I wore this Jack Skellington mens cologne (yep from the Nightmare Before Christmas, yes, from Hot Topic) and people would always comment on how much they liked it. If only they knew....
ReplyDeleteI'm debating on getting a custom perfume made by a local artisan here. I've always romanticized the idea of being a woman with her own distinguished scent.
grrr...sorry for the obvious typos. It's after five. My brain seems to have gone off-duty.
ReplyDeleteThis perfume sounds lovely! I will have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI actually really like Roberts Rose Water - not really a perfume, but the scent is really light, not overpowering and it's great to spray on linens too. Plus the bottle is cobalt blue and looks nice on my bathroom counter :)
if you like chloe chloe...defnitely check out their newer scent called love, chloe...it's amazing!
ReplyDeleteFresh Cannabis Rose. Always and forever. I don't feel like myself without it and get compliments almost every day on it. I think it likes my body chemistry. Some friends have tried it and it smells totally different on everyone.
ReplyDeleteamazing grace by philosophy. it's...amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteI was not a perfume girl until fairly recently, except for some Body Shop vanilla oil occasionally. But now I sometimes wear Viccolo Fiori by Etro, as I got it in Positano on my honeymoon, and also Eau du Sud as it reminds me of a summer spent in the south of France. Amazing how scents can bring back memories....
ReplyDeleteI have to be really picky about perfumes, because if I smell something all day it often times makes me feel sick. So I tend to stick with perfumes that are light, and clean smelling. Ralph Lauren "blue" is my all time favorite, because it smells fresh like a morning shower! Other than that I love Miss Dior Cherie, and occassionally Juicy Couture.
ReplyDeletebeyond paradise by estee lauder is my one and only... i've worn it since 2001. when i'm around old friends they always say i still smell like "me" haha
ReplyDeleteI wore this perfume on my honeymoon (i had a small sample), but never bought it because the bottle is quite expensive. Now that I know about the rollerball I'm going to go out and get it today!
ReplyDeleteI love Kate Moss. It's sweet and a little sassy!
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing L'Artisan Parfumeur's La Chasse aux Papillon. It's really light and lovely. Perfect for work!! xoxox
ReplyDeleteI love PINK by Victoria's secret. Not sure if that is perfume or just a body splash, but I love it all the same. I also recently purchased Chanel No. 5, because I was always reading about it in magazines and such and it just seemed so darn classy. It's nice but a fit old fashioned for my taste. I like sweeter, fruitier smells.
ReplyDeletei have been searching for something high and low that really does "me" well. something sweet, but not sugary, not too feminine, can read urban with a little hippie. i grabbed some samples at longwinterfarm on etsy and the "honeybee" really hit it. my scent is honey...a little sweet, sexy, natural, with a hint of tomboy.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I'm not a huge perfume kind of gal but I stumbled upon this simply dreamy roll on scent at my yoga studio. It is made of sweet almond oil and vanilla by Goddessline.org called Parvati...when I wear it I'm in heaven.
ReplyDeleteMCMC Fragrences' Maine. I adore it. And it's essential oil based so I can actually wear it!
ReplyDeleteChloe is one my favs, the other one is Daisy by Marc Jacobs. Also Manifesto by Isabella Rossellini, but haven't found this anywhere for a couple years :)
ReplyDeleteChloe is always the best at creating lasting notes. Love to have one =)
ReplyDeletelove, your devoted reader!
I've been wearing the original Boucheron for about a dozen years now~it's fabulous and makes me feel sexy and beautiful. I've had men stop me and say "you smell amazing!" I also love Shalimar, but it's quite a biy heavier.
ReplyDeleteFeminite Du Bois by Serge Lutens. The antithesis to sickly sweet lolly perfumes. x
