Chloe perfume
My friend Alison came over yesterday and smelled like a field of wild roses and pink peonies. Her secret? Chloe Chloe perfume. The scent was light, romantic and just perfect. I'm going to head over to Sephora and pick up this little rollerball version today.

"my" scent is Gap's Om, which I've been wearing since high school, but I still love it. it's soft and musky and woodsy. it was discontinued long, long ago, but I occasionally find bottles at Gap outlets and I by them all!
thought lately, I've been wearing vetiver oil and I love how the smell changes throughout the day.
Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue. It's lovely. I've been wearing it for years now. People say they recognize me for my scent. It's a nice complement. However, you made the Chloe sound delightful. I may decide to mix it up!
Burberry Brit Sheer. It's subtle, floral, and fresh-smelling. I have commitment issues with perfume, so I bought the rollerball version at first, but I loved it so much I bought the biggest bottle they sold.
philosophy amazing grace is so fresh and amazing. it smells like you just took a spin in the dryer with a few dryer sheets!
I have worn Nina Ricci's Premier Jour for almost ten years now (bought my first bottle at 18). I always get compliments and men go gaga. I've actually been stopped a few times.
I always thought perfume was too expensive. I've always used body sprays.
I'm not sure the difference, but I know perfume is stronger than most body spray?
I'm really not a perfume girl, so I tend to go for super light scents. My favorite right now? "Light Blue" by D&G. I only buy it in the small samples (lasts me forever), so I never have to splurge.

My husband bought me Thierry Mugler's Alien. Funny name but AMAZING smell! I've never been a perfume girl but I love it!
I wear Burberry (the original one) which I adore, but it seems too deep for the summer this year. I used to be an Annick Goutal Petite Cherie summertime gal, but that seems to wispy right now. Chloe Chloe sounds like a great middle ground!

Recently - Hanae Mori's Magical Moon and YSL's Elle, both of which are lovely.
I usually have two sets of scents: musky and floral- my favorite is Angel by Thierry Mugler- but he just came out with Womanity (smells like orange trees in blossom with a little moroccan spice) which is SCRUMPTIOUS- a kind of lighter version of Angel (if patchouli isnt your thing) my husband loves it on me and when i smell it on other women i follow them around (kind of embarrassing but true.) if i want to go light i'll wear marc jacobs (smells like fresh flowers) or hanae mori (smells like poppy seed cake).
Most of the time, I wear this simple vanilla perfume from France that my husband special orders for me (he knows how to make a girl happy!). In the warmed months, I love Kiehl's Amber roll-on, or a simpe lilac perfume that's made at a small shop in the Finger Lakes (of NYS, where I grew up). I like to keep it simple.
Once, I decided I needed a "name brand" perfume, but couldn't decide if I was more of a Chanel or Burberry girl, so I just gave up. All about personal branding!! :-)
Coco Chanel - it makes me feel pretty and feminine even on a bad hair day. I also love Romance by Ralph Lauren and L'eau par Kenzo as a summery scent:)I think it smells like freshly cut grass and cucumbers.
I wear DKNY Pure,it's feminine, light, clean and perfect for spring...

I just smelled this and it's lovely! I also recently bought Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline for Spring and LOVE it.
One of my all time favorite perfume brands is Tokyomilk and they just came out with some new and amazing scents.

I have a few- J'adore by Dior is my standard. Kenneth Cole's Black is an oldie, but a goodie that I like to take out on occassion. Guerlain Agua Alegoria perfumes are wonderful. My newest favorite is Vera Wang's The Fragrance.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle for me! I think it smells better as the day goes on :) I also like Philosophy's scent: Unconditional Love.
I'm a big fan of my bath & body works sheer freesia body spray. They no longer have that scent, but I luckily stocked up on the spray before they got rid of that line! The light floral scent is subtle and refreshing, which is why I love it so much.

I wear Estee' Lauder's White Linen. I've worn it for years! Before that it was Le Sport. {I don't even remember who made it!} But it went out of business. That's how loyal I am!! "Come on White Linen, stay with me!!" LOL

I had a slightly awkward ladies room moment when I smelled Marc Jacobs for women for the first time. I couldn't help but blurt out "You smell amazing! What is that??" The totally weirded out (and ever so chicly put together) woman responded "It's just Marc Jacobs lotion."
I bought a set that day. And still love it. And the lotion is better than the spray...worth the wierdness. No biggie.

i wear Chloe Chloe as well... i'm obsessed with it and all you need is one spritz. i get a good amount of compliments on it as well. it's very earthy, feminine and sensual i think.
i'm also a huge fan of burberry summer and brit.
i usually use one for a year and switch to another and so forth, so i never get tired of them.
I LOVE Calvin Klein In2u. I have worn this for years and it never gets old. It smells like summer and spicy enough to wear during winter.

I'm really sensitive to smells and most perfumes bother me. But I really wish they didn't! I'm really allergic (intolerant?) to Bath & Body Works; I get hives and sneeze horribly if I'm even in the same room. You'd be surprised how many people use Bath & Body. :(
I just use pure/natural honeysuckle oil. You can buy a small spray bottle and dilute it with water, if you feel you must spray. Otherwise, I put a little on the normal perfume spots. I think it may be a natural antibiotic, too? It smells fresh and identifiable to me; not overpowering for sensitive people. (And I think it smells divine.) :)
Stella Rose Absolute by Stella McCartney. It's actually discontinued, but I love it so much more than the original Stella that I tracked down a tester of it on ebay! I think it's the perfect blend of roses, sweetness, and warmth...oh how I wish they would start making it again!

I had a similar awkward moment walking into a hotel lobby restroom, and the woman at the sink smelled the best ever! Turns out it was actually the air freshener the hotel used in their restrooms. Ooops.
I just found a new favorite that I wear everyday now: Balenciaga Paris. It's hard to find perfumes that I like and can actually wear without getting headaches, and I absolutely adore this.

I'm currently wearing Terre D'Hermes, which is actually a men's fragrance, but I think (hope!) I can pull it off! It's not too manly, I don't think. It's delicious.
I have been using Burberry Brit for about a year and a half and it is now my forever scent. I have never gotten so many compliments!!! It is a great scent.

My boss (whom I adore) actually gave me this scent for Christmas one year, which is a really odd thing for a boss to give! Perfume feels so personal! However, I was pleased as punch that she thought of me when smelling it that I've worn it for 2 years now. Love it-- so light and summery!
Burberry Michael Kors have been staples.
Now loving for Spring, DKNY Pure and a sample I got from Sephora called Boyfriend (a bit musky but light)
Body by Victoria ...yum, like butta.. but I wouldn't go spreading it on bread or anything.
My tried and true is Philosophy's Amazing Grace, it is a soft floral, very light but not grassy at all, and Giucci Flora, which to me smells like is I brushed up against a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, I usually wear this when I am dressing up or in the evenings.
I am a longtime wearer of Chanel's Chance perfume...and probably always will be. It's my absolute favorite.
I wear Heavenly by Victoria's Secret. It's a sweet fragrance I got as a gift for my bachelorette party and I've stuck with it since! : )

All of the Tocca scents are lovely! I'm partial to Stella and Florence, but they're all unique in their own ways. I also love that they have solid perfumes, which are great to take on the go.
I had the same experience with a fragrance, I smelled it on a friend and ordered it online the next day. It's Fragonard, but the major downside is that it's only available online through the distributor in Paris. I cannot complain though, as I work for Sephora and can wear a different perfume daily. Enjoy your rollerball!

I love roses and peonies, so I'll have to check that out next time I'm at Sephora. My go-to scents are from Philosophy- Amazing Graze and Pure Graze. Sometimes when I'm feeling like something stronger I wear Jo Malone's Lime, Basil, and Mandarin.
sadly I don't have a go-to perfume. I worked for years in a no-scent office and got used to not wearing any scents. I have started a new job and this post helped me decide what I will ask for on my birthday next month! Thanks!

I wear Nina by Nina Ricci for nights out and green tea daily use. I also just discovered the scent by Jacob (Canadian retailer)which smells divine.
i really hate wearing a scent, and don't particular like smelling them either - they all just smell fake to me. occasionally a gentle scented lotion will smell nice. luckily my husband (and a lot of other men i know, for that matter) don't like a perfumed woman. the only "not me" scent my husband responds to is a little dab of vanilla behind the ears.
My holy grail is Timbuktu by L'Artisan Parfumeur. It's a little woodsy, a little green, and a little odd, but it just disarms me.
For a floral, I find it hard to beat Annick Goutal's Neroli. To me, it's greener and less cloying than most florals.
Others I love: Serge Lutens Gris Clair (or Daim Blond), Comme des Garcons Ouarzazate, Clinique Aromatics Elixir, Cote Bastide Lin and good old Acqua di Parma.

Chloe Chloe sounds lovely though!
I wear White Musk Perfume Oil from The Body Shop. My childhood best friend's mom wears it all the time and it's just lovely.
I love fresh, fruity scents. Sadly, my favorites have been discontinued -- Fresh Pomegranate Anise and Chloe Innocence. I am still working on my last bottles but will need to find a new scent soon. I also like some of the Jo Malone scents, but nothing has become a signature scent like Pomegranate Anise and Innocence are for me.

I'm actually kind of picky about perfume scents. And the ones I do fall in love with are usually too pricey and I can't justify spending money on perfume that could be spent on shoes :) BUT what I've been wearing for a while now, and is very affordable is Sexy Little Things from VS.
I wear Bath by Bobbi Brown. I love that fresh clean soap & water smell. Its subtly sexy without overpowering.

l'occitane's fleur cherie is wonderful. light feeling but strong enough it lingers so you want more.

I wear a scent from the Fragonard perfume factory near Nice. It's called Miranda and it's the only perfume I've EVER liked! If you prefer a lighter scent during the day, this is perfect to wear at night. So sexy!

i first bought it for a friend who lives abroad, to give to her as a gift when i visited. the woman working at the fresh store predicted "you are going to come back and get this for yourself". i thought, "nah, i don't even wear perfume", but she was right! i had purchased the candle, soap, and perfume, and packed it in my luggage. it made everything in my suitcase smell so amazing that when i got home i did go back and buy it for myself!
I don't usually shop for clothes at Abercrombie, but I LUV the Abercrombie Ready perfume. It smells sooo pretty -- to bad they aren't making it anymore :(
I also luuuuuuuuv the marc jacobs original perfume, and daisy is pretty good too!

I wear Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely. It's sweet but not stinky like I find so many perfumes to be. And most importantly, my husband loves it. He bought me my first full bottle for his first Christmas present to me. (I had been using a bottle of the lotion a friend gave to me before that.)
The only perfume I've ever gotten came two Augusts ago. It's Velocity from Mary Kay. I wouldn't mind trying a new one soon...

For whatever reason I'm really sensitive to perfume. I.e. that spooky weirdo who's changing places in the restaurant because of the strong smell of cheap essential oils in one perfume is probably me. I had really hard time picking something that I could wear all day. But now I have even too - Annick Goutal's Petite Cherie (which also has an edition in a roll on, just like that Chloe) and Byredo's Fantastic man.
I don't wear it, but every time I am at a perfume counter or at Sephora I open a bottle of Chanel No. 5 and close my eyes while I smell it. Aah...that was my grandmother's scent.
i'm a party pooper--after working in research in a children's environmental health center and learning about phthalates and other endocrine disruptors, i stopped wearing all fragrances! yep, i'm neurotic :) my old time fave though was issey miyake and various demeter fragrances which came in fun scents like freshly mowed lawn and cookie dough!
Chanel No. 5 as it was a present, but my all time favourite is Chanel No. 19.
I also have a bottle of Hermes waiting for me next (another present) but once that's gone I will be buying some No. 19.....
I always used to wear Vera Wang's signature scent. It's floral and there is something innocent about it. I still wear it but have mixed it up a little bit and got Dior Addict. It's super sexy/sultry and is really different for me. I also wear D&G Light Blue--it's nice, light, citrusy, and summery.
I love perfumes! I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to that. I like to switch out my summer and winter scents. Currently I'm rotating between Chanel Allure, Marc Jacobs Fig, Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean, and Crabtree and Evelyn Spider Lily.
My new current favorite, though, is Boyfriend by Kate Walsh. The scent is just gorgeous - it's the combination of what your boyfriend's cologne smells like lingering with your perfume. It's sensual and comforting. I highly recommend it!

My favie is Euphoria by Calvin Klein.It is so sexy and musky(somthing my natual body composition works wells with) and men, including my husband, always swoon for it. I got the limited edition spring tempataion for my wedding day because it was a lighter twist on my classic scent. Now when ever I wear it I think of walking down the aisle.... ah memories!

how do you guys pick a perfume? is it based on a fond memory or association? (my mother smells like jasmine), or on the pretty bottle, or even the designer? (Everything Marc Jacobs= lovely). I'd love to know!
Chloe is my go to scent! It's so perfect. One spritz lasts all day and it just gets better and better.
I also enjoy Burberry Brit.
L by Gwen Stafani is my favorite, and Beach by Bobbi Brown makes me happy too.
I'm in love with the Oiseau perfume line at Anthropologie, I have three of their scents, with my current favorite being "the charmer." They're sweet, subtle and affordable. PLUS I love perfume bottles and I think these ones look so sweet sitting on a vanity.
I wear Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, Marc Jacobs Daisy, or Gwen Stefani's "G." They're all technically summer scents that I wear year-round. My old go-to winter scents were Elizabeth Arden Red Door (which when I smell it reminds of me of Christmas) or BCBG Girls Sexy.
I actually wear Chloe too! its the best =) smells like heaven!
lately, it's Annick Goutal's Ninfeo Mio; I love the woodsy, citrusy, lightly floral scent!
MAC has a really great summer scent called "Turquatic." I've been using it for years. It's light and fresh! Great if you like clean perfumes. xo
I refuse to buy perfume because of animal testing. But I do wear lavender oil. It smells soooo good, its natural and its also very calming. It also changes its scent slightly with each person. I get so many compliments.
I'm obsessed with Marc Jacobs "Basil", and thankfully the bottle is gigantic enough to fill that obsession.
I love the D&G Light Blue but sometimes it's a little overpowering and I start sneezing at myself.
So lately I've picked up Thunderstorm by Demeter. It literally smells like dirt and grass. I love it. But I love all things earthy tasting and smelling, like beets and brussel sprouts. :)
I've always worn Light Blue from D&G, but I recently picked up the rollerball version of Twirl from Kate Spade. It is fresh, flirty and perfect for spring :)

I love wear either L'Aromarine Oceane or Clinique Happy - but I'm longing for bottles of Salvatore Ferragamo Incanto Shine or Chanel Chance... they are just so lovely!
Some of CB I Hate Perfume's scents sound so, so cool...can't wait to get to a store so I can sniff before I decide which one to drop $60 on.

I love perfume but I'm in love with my favorite's one : 5 de Chanel but it must be in "eau première". It's a bit "fainter" (not sur it's the right word in english...).
When one of my neighborings said to me one morning : "Oh you smell so good. Every day, I say to my husband : Miss Aditha is gone to work. The hallway is smelling fine", I was so happy !! One of the greatest compliment ever ! :-))
most days i spray miss dior cherie l'eau into my hair before work. it lingers just enough to give me a whiff of happy throughout the day. when i'm craving summer (like right now) i skip the perfume and just use my bobbi brown 'beach' body oil moisturizing and kind of smells like a pretty sunscreen and ocean!
I love rose based scents too! But not when they're too sweet. Juliette Has a Gun's Miss Charming is the perfect example. It's my fave. XO Valerie

During the winter it gives me hope of spring/summer and during spring/summer it makes me feel as if I'm always sitting on my front porch with a glass of iced tea and wiggling my bare toes.

I've always loved Banana Republic Classic scent. It smells refreshing and evokes wonderful memories - when my then boyfriend (now fiance) and I are still in the getting-to-know stage! :)

I finally buckled after years of repeatedly smelling the adds in fahsion magazines, and splurged on a bottle of Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb. Love it. I wish I would've just bought one a long time ago. Origins makes this ginger scent too that I LOVED. It was so natural and light but distinct. In high school I wore this Jack Skellington mens cologne (yep from the Nightmare Before Christmas, yes, from Hot Topic) and people would always comment on how much they liked it. If only they knew....
I'm debating on getting a custom perfume made by a local artisan here. I've always romanticized the idea of being a woman with her own distinguished scent.

I actually really like Roberts Rose Water - not really a perfume, but the scent is really light, not overpowering and it's great to spray on linens too. Plus the bottle is cobalt blue and looks nice on my bathroom counter :)

Fresh Cannabis Rose. Always and forever. I don't feel like myself without it and get compliments almost every day on it. I think it likes my body chemistry. Some friends have tried it and it smells totally different on everyone.

I was not a perfume girl until fairly recently, except for some Body Shop vanilla oil occasionally. But now I sometimes wear Viccolo Fiori by Etro, as I got it in Positano on my honeymoon, and also Eau du Sud as it reminds me of a summer spent in the south of France. Amazing how scents can bring back memories....
I have to be really picky about perfumes, because if I smell something all day it often times makes me feel sick. So I tend to stick with perfumes that are light, and clean smelling. Ralph Lauren "blue" is my all time favorite, because it smells fresh like a morning shower! Other than that I love Miss Dior Cherie, and occassionally Juicy Couture.
beyond paradise by estee lauder is my one and only... i've worn it since 2001. when i'm around old friends they always say i still smell like "me" haha
I wore this perfume on my honeymoon (i had a small sample), but never bought it because the bottle is quite expensive. Now that I know about the rollerball I'm going to go out and get it today!

I love PINK by Victoria's secret. Not sure if that is perfume or just a body splash, but I love it all the same. I also recently purchased Chanel No. 5, because I was always reading about it in magazines and such and it just seemed so darn classy. It's nice but a fit old fashioned for my taste. I like sweeter, fruitier smells.
i have been searching for something high and low that really does "me" well. something sweet, but not sugary, not too feminine, can read urban with a little hippie. i grabbed some samples at longwinterfarm on etsy and the "honeybee" really hit it. my scent is honey...a little sweet, sexy, natural, with a hint of tomboy.
I have to say, I'm not a huge perfume kind of gal but I stumbled upon this simply dreamy roll on scent at my yoga studio. It is made of sweet almond oil and vanilla by Goddessline.org called Parvati...when I wear it I'm in heaven.
MCMC Fragrences' Maine. I adore it. And it's essential oil based so I can actually wear it!

I've been wearing the original Boucheron for about a dozen years now~it's fabulous and makes me feel sexy and beautiful. I've had men stop me and say "you smell amazing!" I also love Shalimar, but it's quite a biy heavier.
