oooh pretty! i like to rummage through my mom's closet for some of her african tie-dye dresses and kaftans; she'd really appreciate it if i just got some of my own!
Wow, those are gorgeous. The last thing I tie-dyed was a pair of socks... and they did not look that lovely. I wonder how she does that! Thanks for posting! - Kaitlyn http://light0a0candle.blogspot.com/
Wow, I love this design on those outfits! As soon as I hear tie-dye I think of pieces that just won't compliment anything, but these ones are definitely the exception! Take care!
My niece, who keeps me informed of the coming trends, told me that tie dye was coming back. I love those tie dye picks. I would love to include a nice tie dye dress in my spring/summer wardrobe.
I thought you might like this wonderful, chic, and simplistic tie-dyed scarf (the how-to is in German but the videos are pretty self-explanatory). This is the result: http://www.mait-studio.com/images/stories/Teaserbilder/Projekte/T_pj_Batiktuch.jpg
And here's how they made it: http://www.mait-studio.com/index.php?option=com_project&view=detail&pid=52&Itemid=2
These are beautiful pieces from a great line. I'm going to try my hand at tie-dying this summer and I'll be pleased if they turn out 1/100th as nice as these!
I haven't worn tie dye since my college days but these are pretty cool. The simple, contemporary shapes and muted colours are a great twist on this usually 'hippy' style. Love it.
Oh my word I wish I hadn't looked. The fact that I can't afford these dresses (specifically the second one) is just painful!! Okay, that's dramatic. But really they are so so lovely.
Wow, these are pretty but almost 700 dollars for a tid-dye dress. I have cool tie-dye that I made at a summer camp and it looks good (not that good). I am impreseed that anyone would spend that much money on tie dye
Those are beautiful. I have a friend that does custom tie dye to raise money for a program she works with called living positive in Kenya. Her company is called T4A tie dye for Africa. Search for her on Facebook!!
The dress at top right is amazing, love it! And I totally remember watching that episode of Martha, I think they did tie dyed tights, Shabd was really adorable!
Nooooooo! lol I'm seriously looking for THE perfect dress for Coachella...see that one maxi and go ape shat only to find out it's SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! my heart is broken.
They really are beautiful. I love that there are so many tie-dyes nowadays that aren't garish clashes of colors (not that those aren't also fun!) :] Thanks for sharing!
These are so lovely! My mother sets up a tie dye station on our back porch in the summer for all the little cousins. I have just as much fun as they do!
these are amazing! i am so completely in love with that second dress. the tie die reminds me off photos of nebulae. sigh, and i have just about as much chance of owning a nebula as one of those dresses. ;)
You know I always love me some Shabd! I thought you might also be interested in a little tie-dyed ikat home decor, Jo. Have a great, albeit rainy, day! xo Lola
So pretty! I just bought a tie dye dress from WAlgreens :). I'm calling it a maternity dress cause it actually fits my big belly right now http://yfrog.com/gys1ivbj

The subtle, muddled grey tones, and the few pastels woven in the mix, reminds me of eggs dipped and then left out in the morning mist.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
